SMEP - anyone giving this a try this month and want to join me?

New to mumsnet 🙋‍♀️ and I've seen loads of threads where everyone is so lovely and supportive so thought I'd post. This is our 4th cycle ttc #2, 1st cycle giving SMEP a try as I've seen so many success stories. With our first, we got so lucky and ended up pregnant on our first month trying so this waiting is a bit of a shock, although I know out 1st was the exception not the norm! Would love to hear any success stories, or any other ladies that want to compare notes this month x

@allgoodthings84 you are so lucky in that retrospect - mine can sometimes come a day or 2 depending so I never know 😂😅😅 but last month my temp dropped 2 days before it came so it was a sign I suppose

@EdinburghGirl1 @NSx i don’t ovulate on same day every cycle it’s usually cd14/15 (occasionally 12/13 or 16/17 but more rare and if I have a longer cycle one month it’s shorter the following cycle like it’s averaging out) but it’s always 13 days after ovulation without fail.

Thanks everyone ✨ I keep feeling like AF is going to arrive 😞 I had cramps earlier too at lunch time and again not so long ago. I feel a sensation like a tight band by my womb... Literally haven't a clue what's going on 🤷🏻‍♀️ fully expect to wake in the morning with AF.

@Aurora81 i don’t think u will at all 💕🤞 (get AF I mean) when is she due? And how many days dpo are u now? 11?

@NSx I am 11 dpo and AF is due on Saturday. I usually get a bit of red spotting 12 dpo and AF then arrives 15dpo which becomes cd 1.

We're still slogging away at SMEP, definitely starting to feel like a slog anyway! Haha! I got a peak on Sunday AM, so think I'm about 2dpo, DH making it his personal challenge to finish the schedule. Can't wait to watch some TV at the end of the week - lol!
Lots of you must be starting to see the end of the TWW now. When is everyone due / planning to test?

I'm 8dpo today. First week has been fine but now we are in symptom spotting territory 😆 and I'm definitely thinking about things a lot more since yesterday even though I'm not expecting anything. No symptoms at all to report here. I will probably test Saturday at 11dpo and I'm due next Tuesday/Wednesday I think as last 2 months it was full 14 day luteal phase

@EdinburghGirl1 @fsr111 my temp rose from 36.36 to 36.55. I just have a feeling it's my body struggling with maintaining progesterone levels. I resisted testing this morning, as my gut is telling me I am not going to get a BFP.

@Aurora81 thats a good sign your temp rose, AF is definitely not imminent in that case right? sorry still v new to BBT. I started it at the tail end of my last cycle and mine dropped two days before AF arrived...

@EdinburghGirl1 i look forward to your results, well done for not symptom testing, much more relaxing to take each day as it comes without overthinking it. I'm going to try and do the same :)

@Aurora81 a temp increase is good is it not? Last month my temp dropped two days before AF and didn’t rise again so 🤞
@EdinburghGirl1 this week is dragging in, I don’t want to test Im only 9dpo and AF isn’t due until 15 dpo I think - I’m not hopeful at all as I don’t have any signs except my skin being a mess which might just be hormones messing with me. My temps this week have been pretty steady and hardly fluctuated so don’t know what that means really - (see chart attached)

@NatGee I don't really have any symptoms which makes it easier. but then I've seen lots of people recently on here get a bfp and no symptoms so then that becomes like a symptom 😂

@NSx looks like a very nice chart imho. do you get the crosshairs plotted only after 3dpo?
@EdinburghGirl1 yup! seems to be happening when people least expect it as well on the months when they didn't have any symptoms. I dont know what that means?

@NatGee no I think it only came later on - it’s a pretty boring chart nothing interesting - I would like to see a rise in temp maybe next couple days but it seems to be very stable so don’t know if that means anything, my AF dropped 2 days before AF last month & stayed low just above cover line - so I will be watching out for this on Sunday. 😭😩

@NSx I replied on another thread about my temps when I got pregnant with my first. This was the only month I did btt so nothing to compare it to but just in case anyone else is interested by temp rose after ovulation and stayed at around 36.7-36.9 until I got my bf at 11dpo

@NSx @NatGee @EdinburghGirl1 that's my bbt chart attached. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ 50/50 chance it will go up or down tomorrow.

@NSx Your chart looks great and your temps are staying nice and high.

@NatGee@NatGee @NSx mine usually does the same too.. Starts to go down on 12 dpo until AF arrives. This cycle is literally unchartered territory for me

the temps are high but I don’t know what they should be, I guess there’s not a written rule as joe a chart should look😂 but wish we had something to compare to, like to know it’s good or bad 😂😂 every day I wake up take my temp and it’s like a lucky draw 😂 what’s it going to be, high or low …

@NSx I am going to see in the morning what my temp does. Then when I pee if I am not bleeding I will do a test. AF isn't due until Saturday going by my other cycles, so I'll be 13 dpo tomorrow. Fx for you ✨ I hope you get fabulous news next week when you test ✨
