Hi all, thought I'd start a new thread for those starting new cycles.
I'm on CD5, so only stopped my period today.
I have PCOS so ovulation is rare.. I had my first ever positive OPK last cycle so fingers crossed.
I'll start testing for ovulation at CD7ish and then every 2 days (last month was CD27 so could be a long wait haha).

Thank you @EdinburghGirl1 xxx

LauraA31 · 16/08/2022 10:31

@Baby3herewego congratulations!! Looking forward to seeing that line get darker!! Xx

Baby3herewego · 16/08/2022 10:38

@LauraA31 thank you! How have you been feeling? Xxx

LauraA31 · 16/08/2022 10:59

@Baby3herewego im doing okay, feel tired a lot and needing to wee so much more but other than that im doing okay… its still super early days to be getting much more though!

Im a bit worried about my weight, i have been battling with my weight for ages and i know im overweight. I have lost half a stone in 3 weeks and then BFP arrives! Read it’s not recommended to diet when pregnant so battling a bit with that, don’t want the fact im overweight to do anything to me or baby!

AF due tomorrow so can ring the GP tomorrow morning, still expecting her to arrive despite the super dark line on the test this morning 😂

How are you feeling? X

Sj2505 · 16/08/2022 11:06

@Baby3herewego that's a positive for sure! Congratulations 🎉✨
Our third BFP ☺️

@LauraA31 that must be hard to think about. Maybe try adding in a few hundred extra steps each day to help maintain where you are and try to reach for the healthier food options.

I think you’ll be just fine.

I’m okay. No real symptoms this time around.

LauraA31 · 16/08/2022 11:39

@Baby3herewego i know im not too overweight, i think it’s more how i feel about myself rather than actually medically.. I am still calorie counting (not with reduced calories) and walking more so i will be fine!

Excited for your journey! X

That's me now officially in the tww at 1dpo. Had peak on Monday evening and had very strong ovulation pains yesterday but all gone today. Not feeling too hopeful this month and going to try not symptom spot and just see how it goes. Just gotta keep busy.

Sj2505 · 17/08/2022 09:20

@EdinburghGirl1 welcome to the tww ☺️
I'm having a nightmare with my bbt! But I also just have a sinking feelings that I'm out this month. I'm 8dpo so I know it's early but I've had BFNs yesterday and today so that probably not helped my morale about it

If anyone wants to read my bbt dilemma 😘

@Sj2505 thank you. I'm sorry im not much of an expert on BBT as I don't do it. Hope you get some answers though. 8dpo is so early though so definitely not out although I know sometimes it's hard to stay positive

Sj2505 · 17/08/2022 09:57

Thank you, it is hard. Last month my LP was only 10 days, so if it's the same this month then I should get AF in 2 days

OP posts:
EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 10:04

@Sj2505 you never know. When I was ttc#1 my 3rd cycle luteal phase was only 10 days then 4th cycle I fell pregnant

Sj2505 · 17/08/2022 10:05

@EdinburghGirl1 thank you, that's reassuring. I just feel quite deflated and low this morning 😔

OP posts:
EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 10:16

@Sj2505 I feel you. I had a proper day like that yesterday properly stressing out it all and several tears but today is a new day and feel better today. Be kind to yourself and try to do something to cheer you up. I went out for a walk at lunchtime to clear my head and did some yoga which helped.

Sj2505 · 17/08/2022 10:55

@EdinburghGirl1 I keep crying this morning. Poor OH doesn't know what to do with himself.
I have to work this morning, but at 2pm we are travelling down to London for a hotel stay and off to Chessington tomorrow. So I'm trying to think of that to keep me distracted

Morning ladies.
How's everyone doing? Where is everyone in their cycles?

I'm now 9dpo, I had quite an intense dull ache in my lower abdomen yesterday evening and night so I thought I was getting AF (AF came 10dpo last month after spotting since 7dpo).
I've been having twinges and pinching feelings since a few days after ovulation that have progressive gotten worse.
Then this morning I had this tiny little blood spot when wiping. It's not like my normal AF spotting...
Could this be implantation??

@Sj2505 hope you feel better today after getting away for the night yesterday. I'd say it could definitely be implantation especially since you are 9dpo and have been getting twinges. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I am 2dpo today and nothing to report really. Not going to symptom spot this week at all as I know it won't be anything

Sj2505 · 18/08/2022 11:17

@EdinburghGirl1 I do feel better today thank you, more emotionally stable haha. We have the day at Chessington today so it will keep me occupied.
I tried to ignore everything until 6dpo too 😊 glad you're doing ok though.

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 11:20

@Sj2505 glad you're feeling better today and enjoy your day out

NatGee · 18/08/2022 22:04

@Baby3herewego congratulations on your BFP! I love hearing this news :)

@LauraA31 maybe we erroneously correlate the word "dieting" with deprivation and hunger. Perhaps if you simply swap your less health habits for healthier ones, then your weight will naturally fall into the range it is meant to be for you and your baby.

@Sj2505 ohhhh that could be implantation! its the right colour and amount. Look forward to having more news from you but in the meantime enjoy your outing

LauraA31 · 18/08/2022 22:54

@NatGee oh absolutely! My issue has always been portion control; i calorie count but not on a deficit and it really helps me understand how many calories I should be consuming per meal. I never allow myself to go hungry ha!
I have changed my diet since TTC so it’s becoming habit now rather than a diet 🙂

NatGee · 18/08/2022 23:53

@LauraA31 glad to hear! I know I feel so much better when making healthier choices, both in body and mind :)

EdinburghGirl1 · 19/08/2022 06:30

@LauraA31 I find that having lots of vegetables with my meals helps as you still get a nice full plate but it's not so high in calories. However I know when I was pregnant with my DD the nausea meant I just wanted to eat carbs and beige food 😂 just like when your hungover. So easier said than done.

NatGee · 19/08/2022 14:24

@EdinburghGirl1 good point well made. I know nothing of the troubles nausea can bring as this is would be my first pregnancy. Can imagine it being very hard eating properly if your body simply rejects the good and wants all the carbs!
