Hi all, thought I'd start a new thread for those starting new cycles.
I'm on CD5, so only stopped my period today.
I have PCOS so ovulation is rare.. I had my first ever positive OPK last cycle so fingers crossed.
I'll start testing for ovulation at CD7ish and then every 2 days (last month was CD27 so could be a long wait haha).

Oh how lovely, congratulations to you 💗🌸
Just had all my IVF meds delivered - there's A LOT! Haha.
DS was conceived through IVF, but I don't remember all the details of it really. Feels like a million moons ago.

I hope you've both had wonderful pregnancies so far!

Hello! 👋🏻

I am 26 weeks tomorrow, having a little girl so it was also a very lucky cycle for me too! 😅

@Sj2505 so excited for you to start that journey! ♥️

Oh that's fantastic news ☺️ congratulations!!

I'm no longer using donors as we decided to take the plunge and try for a biological child with IVF and Surgical Sperm Retrieval.
The SSR went better than expected so we have loads of swimmers ready, and I'm due to start my IVF part on 2nd Feb!! So excited ✨

My period is so unpredictable that nothing is out of the ordinary really.
Most of the time my period only starts after dtd, beforehand it'll be just brown discharge and a lot of pain but as soon as we dtd it comes in full flow! Very odd!!!

@LauraA31 wow those symptoms are also new to me! I can remember one or two that my sister experienced that Id never heard of before or since. Every body is different. What is the controversy around early scans?

@Sj2505 that’s really rubbish, i hope that you get some little line soon! 🤞🏻 the new symptoms the last couple of days sound promising! I haven’t been on much the last couple of days because of work but will keep checking in on you! X

@NatGee im having loads of random symptoms that i never thought existed! My lips and skin are so dry, my hair is really oily and im getting spots each day. I’m very bloated and need to wee every couple of hours. 4 weeks yesterday so it’s still so so early! We booked our private early scan, i know most people don’t like them but im so anxious something is going to go wrong, trying to relax but we are booked in at 7.5 and hopefully will see something to reassure me 😅 x

@EdinburghGirl1 hello, how exciting the first week is almost done. Got everything crossed for you this month 🤞🏻
it’s sunk in now, told my parents this weekend because im so close to them and needed the extra support. They were so happy and i think that made it a little bit more real, I have officially missed one period as of today.. part of me still expects it to come in the morning but it’s sinking in more! X

@NatGee last cycle was my first regular cycle. Last year I didn't have a period for 9 months then I've had to medically induce them with provera, but last month it seemed to have settled.
I do worry that this cycle it's disappeared again :(

@EdinburghGirl1 thank you!

@LauraA31 hi doing ok. 5dpo today and it's been ok so far. Next week might drag a little although I'm particularly hopeful. How are you getting on? Has it sunk in yet?

@Sj2505 that must be really frustrating. Sorry your going through this confusion.

@Sj2505 I know symptom spotting is going into forbidden zone but those are pretty strong indicators that something is up, positively speaking of course. What's your plan? Keep on testing ? Is your LP usually that short or was it just last cycle?

Sj2505 · 21/08/2022 14:33

@NatGee I'm 12dpo. Last month I got AF at 10dpo.
The last few days I've had sporadic tingly pains in my boobs, tender nipples, bloating, increased urination, nausea, fatigue and I've had vivid pregnancy dreams the past two nights

@EdinburghGirl1 good point well made. I know nothing of the troubles nausea can bring as this is would be my first pregnancy. Can imagine it being very hard eating properly if your body simply rejects the good and wants all the carbs!

@LauraA31 I find that having lots of vegetables with my meals helps as you still get a nice full plate but it's not so high in calories. However I know when I was pregnant with my DD the nausea meant I just wanted to eat carbs and beige food 😂 just like when your hungover. So easier said than done.

@LauraA31 glad to hear! I know I feel so much better when making healthier choices, both in body and mind :)

@NatGee oh absolutely! My issue has always been portion control; i calorie count but not on a deficit and it really helps me understand how many calories I should be consuming per meal. I never allow myself to go hungry ha!
I have changed my diet since TTC so it’s becoming habit now rather than a diet 🙂
