This is my third cycle trying, Iā€™m currently 5dpo and definitely symptom spotting already šŸ™ƒ thought it would be nice to have some company in the TWW, meant to have AF on the 5th august but hoping I wonā€™t šŸ¤žšŸ»

@TC95 ah I know I love seeing positive results makes me hopeful šŸ˜† I think I will hold out until 10dpo at least as I realistically know anything before then will just be BFN

Hi ladies

I know I'm late to the party but am I ok to join? AF is due on Tuesday and I'm going to TRY and wait until then to test...

Not sure exactly when I ovulated this month, I've fairly short cycles of 24 days and began ovulation testing the day after AF finished which was CD6 and got a static smiley straight away. Then continued testing and got another static on CD 12 so who knows! Not sure if I ovulated on the second peak or I just confused the clear blue OPK making it think I was into another cycle šŸ¤£

I don't ever have noticeable EWMC so think this is something I'm going to have to try and increase, does anyone have the same issue and found any vitamins/supplements that's worked with this? X

@NiceToChat88 hi šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ oh not long to wait for testing. Do you think you'll hold out for AF?

I've heard grapefruit juice is good for increasing CM. I did try it this cycle but I didn't notice much of a difference tbh. Mainly I think they say drink lots of water

@NiceToChat88 ooh, think you may be the soonest one to test?! (sorry if I've missed anyone sooner!!)
I don't get EWCM either which does stress me out a bit.. I've read things that can help it but am a bit afraid to try as there's always other people who have found they mess up their cycle or similar! Interested to hear if anyone on here has tried anything though šŸ˜Š

@alwaysseeingstars when are you thinking of testing?

@NiceToChat88 hi of course youā€™re ok to join! Not too long a wait for you! Iā€™m trying to hold out till next Friday (5th) as thatā€™s when my AF is due but feeling the urge to test already šŸ¤£ hopefully we can both wait it out! Have you been taking folic acid? Fingers crossed for you and lots of baby dust your way šŸ¤žšŸ»

@mummatara I'm going to try and hold out for AF, this is cycle 8 of ttc and I feel like testing early just makes me disappointed twice as I get upset with the negative test and then again a couple of days later when AF arrives. This cycle I've tried to stay really positive and relax a bit more!!

NiceToChat88 · 28/07/2022 13:37

@alwaysseeingstars I've read evening primrose oil can be good for increasing it too! Also spree seed is meant to be good for acting as EWCM if there's not much there, im going to have a read into things!

@TC95 I've been taking folate for around 6 months and just started Vit D along with some Proceive conception supplements! āœØāœØ

@NiceToChat88 im doing the folic acid and vitamin d but Iā€™m thinking of starting the pregnancy and conception multivitamins with everything in just to make it easier!

@TC95 the app is saying AF is due on the 7th, so hopefully I'll be able to wait till then! We'll see šŸ˜‚I'm on cycle 6 at the moment and haven't had a 'normal' cycle yet so kind of just take it as it comes..
@NiceToChat88 I tried pre-seed this FW, although admittedly more so on DH before DTD rather than using the applicator - externally let's just say it dried very quickly!! Will have to try with an applicator next time I think.

Hi, hope it's ok to join you all. I'm due AF on the 6th (according to the app) and on first cycle for TTC #2. I started taking conception/omega 3 vitamins this month though they cost an arm and a leg so might get buy folic acid separately going forward.

Hope the wait for everyone is going ok! I hadn't even really thought about not drinking until reading earlier in the thread but actually makes sense. I'm new to TTC, my first was a happy accident so quite different this time around planning. I am also imagining symptoms left, right and centre but fingers crossed in just over a week we'll get some positives!

@alwaysseeingstars 10DPO is 6th AF due 8th I do have a busy weekend 6-7th so I might be able to hold off but by next week I'm sure I'll be caving and testing 10DPO šŸ˜‚

@Jigglemonster Hi welcome! Do you know when you ovulated? Itā€™s so hard not to symptom spot, how are you feeling with it all? Iā€™m here and there with drinking I donā€™t mind drinking while AF is here but after that I donā€™t touch it just in case. Fingers crossed and lots of baby dust your way!

Hi @Jigglemonster TTC is an expensive business šŸ™ˆ I take pregnacare pre conception think they are about Ā£10 a month šŸ¤”

Hi all, Im also due AF on the 5th. This is the third cycle if ttc no.3 for us. Not much opportunity for trying this month as we were on holiday and the DC stayed up much later than usual and then I was shattered from non stop activities. Not tracking ovulation but had the usual right side pain that signals it on Saturday so possibly 5dpo. Not holding out much hope for this month but good luck to all of you.

@Jigglemonster @mummatara I take the seven seas trying for a baby and they are a bit cheaper at Ā£5 for the month and have similar nutritional values in

Jigglemonster · 28/07/2022 15:40

@TC95 Thank you! I ovulated on the 23rd - I'm using those CB ovulation tests for now, again, I'm not sure I'll be quite so gung ho with buying the expensive version of everything next month.

Good idea on the drinking front, I think I'll do that from now on. May as well practice for not drinking at all for 9 months!

Feeling ok, but it's hard not to be impatient. It's weird how mentally consuming it is isn't it? I'm googling and reading up on things all the time, logging things in an app etc. and my DH is just oblivious apart from when I tell him he's required upstairs! :)

@Aimee1995 thanks, I'll try the seven seas ones next month

Report
alwaysseeingstars · 28/07/2022 15:45

@Jigglemonster it really is all consuming! definitely takes over your mind.

@Aimee1995 I also take the seven seas ones, I had to check with an obstetrician what I could take because of other tablets I'm on, and she said they are good for getting what you need :)

@ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler hi! Weā€™re due AF the same day! Iā€™ve got my fingers crossed for youšŸ¤žšŸ»When do you think youā€™ll be testing? Iā€™m hoping to wait till the 5th but feel like itā€™s gonna be hard!

@Jigglemonster ooh so about 4dpo? Yeah I think I just get a bit paranoid I know it wonā€™t do any harm but honestly just always think what if I am already and I donā€™t know šŸ˜‚ me and my boyfriend were talking about that last night how much it like sits in your brain and you find yourself thinking about it! I feel like Iā€™m logging a lot of things in my apps atm but at the same time I donā€™t know if Iā€™m just overthinking or itā€™s wishful thinking!

@TC95 I am planning on holding off until the 4th at the earliest. Last month I ended up spending a fortune on tests so just trying to distract myself. A bit easier now my older DC are on summer holidays.

@ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler i know what you mean ttc costs a fortune! I have a feeling Iā€™m going to cave in earlier but like to think Iā€™ll be completely distracted next week so wonā€™t be focusing too much on symptom spotting

Hi all - AF hasn't yet reared her ugly head - due on either Sunday or Monday (on my normal cycle and ignoring last months blip!) had some more cramping today, and a killer headache. Going to (try and!) wait it out until Sunday and see what happens šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»
