Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

Just got a BFN again. On an easy @ home. I'm 13dpo so pretty sure that's me out.

Just feel really gutted.

EdinburghGirl1 · 05/09/2022 08:31

@LucyLoopyLu sorry to hear this. Be kind to yourself.

@HippeePrincess thank you 😊 how far along are you now? A few days away sounds lovely. My DP are away on holiday next Thursday and can't wait. Nausea not been too bad so far so hoping it stays that way whilst on holiday.

@Dreamingof3 that's good you've managed without them. Not long until your scan then?

@lj2022 glad you found it helped. We had decided to wait until the 12 week one. I'm fairly relaxed thankfully so will see how we get on

Dreamingof3 · 05/09/2022 08:50

@LucyLoopyLu sorry it was bfn for you 😔

@EdinburghGirl1 I hope it stays away for you! Scan is Wednesday and I'm starting to feel the nerves!

We go away a week on Thursday and I've normally packed and repacked at least twice by now, but I've done nothing 😅

SarahShorty · 05/09/2022 09:55

I got a shadow on an easy&home cheapie this morning, though unfortunately I have now started bleeding. So if that's what I think it is, that's two CPs now. Sucks.

SarahShorty · 05/09/2022 09:59

easy@home, sorry.

dearhummingbirds · 05/09/2022 10:41

Sorry to hear that @SarahShorty :(

@LucyLoopyLu Without getting your hopes up, you could possibly still be in the game. I’ve got everything crossed for you.

LucyLoopyLu · 05/09/2022 10:51

So sorry @SarahShorty that is just so unfair. Hope you are ok

Thanks all for the kind words. I did have a few little tears this morning. I'm going to let myself feel sad until AF comes - due Weds

missmoosh · 05/09/2022 11:21

Hi! Can I join? Currently 12DPO, no real signs of anything much this month! Don't know when to test! 🙃

Bananatoast123 · 05/09/2022 11:34

@SarahShorty I’m so sorry to hear you think it’s a CP. it’s not fair is it. Look after yourself

@LucyLoopyLu I hope you’re treating yourself to something nice! Keep going, your time will come!

I think I’ve started my TWW today! Not been testing on OPK this month but EWCM has cleared up! Trying to stay positive. Think I ovulated CD15 and we dtd 10,11,13,15! Will likely dtd today too!

Only downside is my OH got stupidly drunk on CD14 so I feel like he won’t have provided any quality on CD15 but hey ho!

SarahShorty · 05/09/2022 12:50

@dearhummingbirds @LucyLoopyLu @Bananatoast123 thank you all xx

I'm passing a lot of clots now, just like I did on the first CP back in March. There is no doubting this is another early loss.

Onto cycle #6.

SarahShorty · 05/09/2022 14:06

@missmoosh of course you can! xx Do you have an idea of when you ovulated? Although 12DPO is still early, some women have been known to get a BFP as early as 7DPO.

I only use the app but I had the right kinda CM at the time it said I would ovulate so best guess is roughly 12 days ago! I have some tests on the way in the post so hopefully they will arrive today!
Also I'm so sorry for your loss 😔 sending all my best wishes to you

SarahShorty · 05/09/2022 14:29

@missmoosh Thank you xx unfortunately it does just happen. One day I will be pregnant again and it will stick. Hopefully third time lucky.

That's good to hear. When they come, you can start tracking. It's also a good idea to BBT, too. Some people find it too much hassle and prefer not to, although it does confirm that you ovulated as you can see slight temperature fluctuations at certain points in your cycle. All that said, best of luck to you for this cycle! You can test anytime you like, if you 'feel' pregnant and want to test, go for it!

BritishDesiGirl · 05/09/2022 16:10

AF has left the building, roll on cycle#3

My ClearBlue Ovulation tests have arrived, so l will see what they yield.

Many congratulations to those of you with your BFPs. Baby dust to everyone. Xx

DesertSnow · 05/09/2022 16:15

I'm so sorry @SarahShorty, I really hope you're doing ok and are taking it gently. Be kind to yourself.

@LucyLoopyLu I'm sorry about the BFN, it's natural to feel how you feel and good to let it out. We're all here for you if you need to talk.

@Welshgal85 every 2 days throughout fertile window is what most people seem to do, so those dates look good to me. Good luck!

Welcome @missmoosh. Will this be your first?

@Bananatoast123 Those dates look good, sounds like you've got things covered! Hope the tww goes quickly for you.

My BBT took a real nose dive this morning (by 0.3 degrees), the way it's only otherwise done pre-ovulation, and I've had some twinges similar to ovulation pain... but I'm only CD9, and in previous cycles I've ovulated between CD20-22. I'm really hoping it's just a weird one off temperature drop, but after my unexpectedly short last cycle, I'm reading into everything and overthinking (so hard not to). Hoping that my body isn't doing anything too odd or irregular. Guess will have to see what BBT does tomorrow - hopefully it goes back up but not enough to indicate ovulation. Keep telling myeslf to relax, but feeling a bit concerned about what's going on with my cycles.

Welshgal85 · 05/09/2022 18:59

@SarahShorty @DesertSnow thanks both! 🤞🏻

Tropicana1 · 05/09/2022 20:17

@SarahShorty so sorry about the chemical, hope you're ok

@LucyLoopyLu ah so sorry for the bfn - treat yourself to something nice that you couldn't do or buy if pregnant

missmoosh · 05/09/2022 20:29

Hii! Yes first for me, totally clueless 😂 very unlikely to be positive this month as just been away on holiday so all the drinks were had! Going to get more serious about it next cycle as I think AF is on its way now, all the usual signs are arriving as normal

DesertSnow · 05/09/2022 21:40

@missmoosh Well I'm sure you'll pick up things quite quickly - this is a very useful group and I've learned so much from everyone. Good luck to you! Would also recommend tracking BBT as well as using OPKs as it confirms ovulation. Although I know some people find it a bit stressful, but I guess you'll figure it out as you go what's right for you 😊

Nypie · 05/09/2022 22:41

Ahh @SarahShorty I'm so sorry this has happened to you again! What a beautiful attitude you have and it is of course the truth, but the present must be so hard. Im thinking of you. Do you think you'll speak to your drs?

@LucyLoopyLu I know that waiting 6 to 12 cycles is aparently normal but I'm struggling with cycle 2 cant imagine how you must be feeling. Its really unfair.

I'm going to be so so happy when you both get the sticky beans you deserve.

SarahShorty · 05/09/2022 23:36

@Tropicana1 thank you xx I'm okay. Just have to keep trying.

@Nypie thank you xx I've been crying on and off all day and DH is a bit broken. He has an appointment for a semen analysis in early October, which should be after our next try and about halfway through the TWW. I'll be joining the follow-up consultation to ask if there is anything I can do to lower the risk of miscarriage. I could be in a worse state clinically, I've read stories of women who've been through hell having had multiple losses at different stages, have lost tubes to ectopics and have no living children. I pray that nothing like that happens to us. I just want my two babies and my family will be complete.

EdinburghGirl1 · 06/09/2022 06:45

@SarahShorty I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to you. As you said it will happen to you and I'm hoping this next cycle is the one. Lots of baby dust to you.

SarahShorty · 06/09/2022 10:14

@EdinburghGirl1 thank you xx It sucks, it's depressing and I'm still cramping a lot, but that's life. Just have to get on with it and keep trying. Must keep the faith. I hope your pregnancy is going well. Same for everyone else who've got their BFPs.

HeathenPlayingHouse · 06/09/2022 11:05

@SarahShorty I'm sorry lovely ❤️

@LucyLoopyLu Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Currently CD24 and still barely a second line on the OPK. I'm actually wondering if I missed it altogether because TMI but I've had sore nipples the last few days- that always used to be a sign for me that it had passed.

Disappointing but it takes the pressure off, I suppose.

SarahShorty · 06/09/2022 12:19

@HeathenPlayingHouse thank you xx It's okay.

Something I remembered that's made me feel a little less rubbish are those odds I learned a while back; around 20%-30% chance of conceiving in any given month, 15% chance of that conception making it to term, ie around 85% chance of miscarriage, particularly in the first trimester.

A lot of periods had while TTC are likely to have been miscarriages, the earlier it occurs in the cycle, the more normal the period looks.
