Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

@DesertSnow I've been trying to drink ginger tea but it's vile 🤣 definitely helped a bit but it's a toss up between vomiting at the taste of it Vs keeping it down long enough for it to work haha

@Dreamingof3 did you find the anti sickness tablets helped with the nausea or just stopped the actual vomiting?

Dreamingof3 · 03/09/2022 13:24

@Tropicana1 the actual vomiting mostly...although helped with the worst of the nausea. Don't get me wrong, I've still felt like absolute crap 🤣 but better than spending all day puking and not keeping anything down. Lost 10lbs so far 😂

WingingIt09 · 03/09/2022 13:48

@SarahShorty I can definitely see that! Fingers crossed for you!

I did a digital this morning and got a 3+. 5 weeks today so that's reassuring!

Yayy @WingingIt09

SarahShorty · 03/09/2022 16:07

@EdinburghGirl1 @Dreamingof3 @DesertSnow @dearhummingbirds thank you all!! xx I still have no bleeding although some mild cramps which I think at the moment are gas, I've been tooting a bit today lol.

The first test did I this morning not with FMU was an FRER! I was shocked the cheapie came up clearer. And it really was a shadow, but was definitely there. So I did an easy@home cheapie and that came up a bit more but still very faint. I have 2 FRERs left, and a Clearblue digital from a previous failed cycle. Today during my weekly shop, I bought 4 more Clearblue digitals, two of those are just plain digital readouts and the other two are weeks count.

Crazy expensive, but I know why. I did some Googling; those HCG tests that have digital readouts have more computing power than the shuttle that took the first humans to the moon. They have LED sensors that read the test strip, a microchip, 64mb of RAM and some 100+ character ROM.

SarahShorty · 03/09/2022 16:08

Oh no! I missed @WingingIt09 ! So sorry! And thank you xx And yay!!

EdinburghGirl1 · 03/09/2022 20:19

@Tropicana1 good idea as you definitely can't keep going like that. I was really lucky with first and was never actually sick. Hoping it's the save this time round.

@Dreamingof3 yikes poor you. Hope it eases up soon for you

Dreamingof3 · 03/09/2022 20:56

@EdinburghGirl1 thanks! I've run out of tablets now 😑 so have managed the last few days without...it hasn't been amazing haha but better than before so I'm really hoping it's starting to calm down now, I'm 11+1weeks

HeathenPlayingHouse · 03/09/2022 23:11

Evening all!

CD21 and my OPKs started turned a little darker last night, so I held off on the Provera. Since then I've had more EWCM and plenty of crappy pain in the ovary area.

I'm hoping I might get a positive tomorrow, but who knows? I'm just so impatient!

WingingIt09 · 04/09/2022 08:06

@Dreamingof3 can't believe you're 11 weeks already! That's gone quickly (from my perspective anyway 😂)

@WingingIt09 haha feels like it's been forever 😂

Welshgal85 · 04/09/2022 09:35

Hi ladies 👋

Hope everyone is well. Congratulations to everyone who has had BFP lately! 😊

I have a question, on what days around high and peak fertility does everyone DTD? I’m day 15 today and OPK’s show my high fertility usually starts showing on day 16 then peak on day 18. So would it be best to DTD on 16, 18 and then 20? Or more often than that?

PinkButtercups · 04/09/2022 11:58

@WingingIt09 that's positive and good luck!

@Dreamingof3 you're 11 weeks! That's crazy!

This pregnancy has gone really quick for me and I'm 23+1 now. Got another scan on the 13th when I'm 24+3.

The twins like do their mini aerobics session around 11pm-1am. They're little night owls.

Nypie · 04/09/2022 14:24

@WingingIt09 so sorry you're feeling this way you've had a rough ride so it completely makes sence I'm so glad that your test keeps showing you other wise! 3+ yaay

@SarahShorty I bloody knew it! Can definitely see a line hope it gets darker for you...how many dpo are you again?

SarahShorty · 04/09/2022 14:42

@Nypie haha I think it was the BBT. Thank you xx My BBT nose-dived this morning and now I'm scared. I tested with my second to last FRER and it was a BFN. I'm 17DPO today.

SarahShorty · 04/09/2022 14:51

@Welshgal85 for DTD, in my personal experience, doing it on the first high day right through until the level falls has worked. My follicular phase can also be up to 4 days longer and thus I ovulate at different points. So definitely start from CD16 in your case.

Nypie · 04/09/2022 16:10

@SarahShorty I honestly would try to avoid bbt after a positive result I've seen way too many bfp charts and quite a few of them have dips after a positive results. So sorry to hear that the test wasnt positive, maybe try a clear blue in a couple of days. Everything crossed!

LucyLoopyLu · 04/09/2022 16:53

I haven't been posting as much recently but still here reading all the messages. Hope everyone is OK

Starting to get a bit nervous about testing tomorrow. Maybe I will just wait and see if AF comes on Weds (not sure). I just don't want it to ruin my day tomorrow. I almost tested today but I had already had my first wee so thought I'd best not bother.
So sick of seeing BFN now and not even that many cycles in

LucyLoopyLu · 04/09/2022 16:54

@SarahShorty do you think that FRER was a bit dodgy? Did you use FMU? I could definitely see a line on the picture you posted before

SarahShorty · 04/09/2022 17:06

@Nypie thank you xx I think I'll stop BBT now as you say because I can't take the anxiety. I'll do a Clearblue on Thursday and see what happens.

@LucyLoopyLu I think it may have been dodgy because on this one I noticed the control line wasn't very thick as it normally would be, it was done with FMU, although I did have three small drinks in the evening (not alcohol, I don't drink like that 😄) including a small glass of water immediately before going to bed, so I wonder if it was diluted. The one you saw was an easy@home cheapie that's part of my OPK.

Nypie · 04/09/2022 18:07

@LucyLoopyLu ah I'm exactly the same, I've started planning a little care package and some nice things I'll do if its negative and thats helped a bit.

@SarahShorty I'm glad, all these things can definitely make you worry unescessarily. Wow that is determination, atleast then you'll know for sure.

SarahShorty · 04/09/2022 21:37

I've had some brown discharge. No cramps. I'm beginning to think the BBT drop meant something 😣

lj2022 · 04/09/2022 21:43

@EdinburghGirl1 aw the scan was so amazing I would highly recommend an early private scan if you can it's helped me relax so much and think the next few weeks to the 12 weeks scan won't be as much of a drag!

SarahShorty · 04/09/2022 21:52

So I just Googled it. It's very common to get brown discharge in the first few weeks. Considering I've had no cramps and it's old blood, it may not be anything to worry about. Just have to wait and see.

HippeePrincess · 04/09/2022 21:54

@DesertSnow yes this is my third and I already have one of each, DP's first (and likely only) and he's pleased.

OMG @WingingIt09 so pleased for you, congratulations what amazing lines! I had loads of quite bad cramping early on and it really did worry me but everything was fine.

@EdinburghGirl1 also congratulations to you.

Glad the few of you who've had spotting and subsequent scans had good news!

I've been terrible with keeping up, we had a few days away together without the kids which was lovely. Since then we've been packing and organising ready for a move (although no date just yet), and doing the back to school prep. Despite loads on, and hectic work, I feel my pregnancy is going so slowly!
