Honestly I don’t know. im DTD every second day until I get a positive ovulation then Gonna DTD every day until after ovulation as per the sperm meets the egg plan - so who knows 😂😅 I think when it’s your time it’s your time. I’m hoping this is the month for us all x

@Wouldloveanother how did you check your fertility ? X

I think next cycle (if this one isn’t successful) we will DTD every day in a row rather than every other day in fertile period. It worked for my chemical in May although the pregnancy itself wasn’t obviously successful.

hi all. first time ever joining one of these threads. we're TTC DC3 (which makes us very very lucky already). But I'm old and also still breastfeeding (a lot), and DC1 was an IVF babe so I feel like this probably isn't going to work out. This is cycle 6. And for various reasons has to be our last attempt at least for the next year (and if we try again at that point I'll be really old). But I'm joining the thread in case it has magical powers! very best of luck to you all! xx

on cd10 and got a flashing smiley today which I haven’t had before! I wonder if I ovulate earlier than I think each month.

also I’ve read that morning sex is better! Fresher sperm? No way we can do that though as our kid always comes in by that point!

My consultant said every other day DTD is best as it gives sperm the chance to recuperate 😂 not heard anything about morning sex though...!

@Sausage1990 and @Indianna2006 sorry to hear of your losses. I had an early miscarriage and would have been due early May just gone so understand your pain 💐 I'm on cycle 18 or 19.... It's been a long and frustrating journey!

@Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels how are your symptoms today? Have you tested??

@Blossomhoney it can take a couple of months for your cycles to return to normal after the pill. Have you done any ovulation tests? Or a pregnancy tests? You could've got lucky!

That's so interesting about morning sex. I'm sure when we conceived (both DS and the MMC) that is was morning sex. But DH works shifts so we basically never have time for it. I'm going to try and do it this month somehow (even if it is 5am when he gets in from work, bless him!).

@RugbyGirl1 thank you for your reply, I took a pregnancy test this morning got a negative.
maybe I should start doing ovulation tests?
I feel so confused over it all at the moment, I’m guessing my body does too, after coming off the pill I just kind of expected to get a period within the following couple of weeks of coming off it.

I think they can be helpful especially as ovulation can be different every month. The smiley clear blue ones are good but expensive. (Kind of gives me a feeling of control 😂)

@RugbyGirl1 I did test, midday wee 11 dpo and it was bfn. Which isnt unsurprising. I still feel rubbish though, sick, just a bit off. My toddler has a virus so I'm wondering if I caught that!

I did ovulation tests last time for a few months before TTC just to learn about my cycles, handy to log on one of the apps too!

I’m CD5 today, AF over. Usually starts OPK CD7/8, debating CB digital Ov tests. I did them when TTC DS2 but just so expensive!!!! I wonder if they are on offer on prime 🤔

Yes the CB digital Ov tests are £25.99 for 50 on Prime. I’ve ordered those with two boxes of FRER.

Just come off the phone to GP. Going to have thyroid, prolactin and testosterone bloods done on Monday and she’s referring me for an ultrasound to have a look at everything. Once it gets to 12 full months she will refer to fertility clinic and they may offer further tests or suggestions, not any assistance as I have two children already plus raised BMi but possibly some support.

@Mummyme87 that’s good news! I’m glad you’re having an ultra sound, I think I need to push for that next but to be honest waiting for the full year for anything further. Keep us updated.

A whole range of ages! That's cool! I'm 36 and my DH is 41, we're trying for our first.

@Blossomhoney it can take a while for your body to naturally adjust hormones etc when you come off contraception. How long were you on the pill for? You could get some cheapy ovulation tests to keep an eye on things, then when your period does return and is a bit more regular the clearblue ovulation sticks may help? Otherwise they're expensive to keep peeing on if you don't know when to expect to ovulate!

@Mummyme87 that's a great price for the CB ovulation tests! Thanks for the tip! That's good that your GP will run some more tests for you 👍 i've just requested to be prescribed progesterone from my GP, still waiting for a response....

I'm 35 and OH 44, we have an 8yr old, 4.5yr old and TTC #3

Hope it's okay to join. This is month 1 TTC #2, we already have a nearly 3yo DD. Went in straight away with temping and OPKs and I think we are on 2dpo so I'm sat in the calm few days between madly shagging and madly symptom spotting April is a great birthday month (I'm biased!) so wishing lots of good fertility luck to us all for lovely April babies :)
