Hey just checking in to see how we all are? I'm 8dpo now and I've got the tingliest nips. I had them with my first, so hoping it's a good sign and not me symptom spotting. I've also realised I'd be due really late march so I jumped the gun joining the April thread but you're all nice so I'm staying πŸ˜‚

thinkingoutloud2 · 11/07/2022 20:54

I'm 12dpo today. πŸ˜…

Very grateful to be so busy atm.

Anyone have any test recommendations?

RugbyGirl1 · 11/07/2022 21:44

@Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels I'm only CD2 so aaaages to go yet this month. Think I'll try and give SMEP a go.... Has anyone here tried it? Good luck - symtpoms are sounding promising! Every month I think I spot new symptoms πŸ˜‚

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 11/07/2022 22:20

@RugbyGirl1 it's the longest 2 weeks isn't it! I feel like as it's our first cycle I'm just spotting anything remotely odd πŸ™ˆ I've not tried smep, sounds like a lot of work πŸ˜‚

@thinkingoutloud2 frer early response are my go to. Not the cheapest but Β£6.40 for 2 on Amazon, and you can test 6 days early with them, I'm going to wait until my period is due though if I can!

ExPatHereForAChat · 11/07/2022 23:36

We do SMEP because I feel like it's a good way of covering all bases.

I usually ovulate between days 12-14.

Only CD6 now so aaaaaages to wait :/

RugbyGirl1 · 12/07/2022 06:22

@thinkingoutloud2 lots of people on MN use the cheap strip tests that can be bought online but even when I was pregnant for a short while last year they never showed anything for me. Like @Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels said, FRERs are your best bet but they're not cheap. Apparently blue dye tests are to be avoided... I don't tend to test now, AF always arrives bang on time. If I ever get to the stage where she's late then I'll crack one open πŸ˜‚

RugbyGirl1 · 12/07/2022 06:25

@ExPatHereForAChat do you find SMEP quite hard work and scheduled or is it not too bad? How long have you been trying it if you don't mind me asking? We're both at the start of our cycles - good luck this month!

I would LOVE an April baby. A lot of my family have birthdays in April / May so it's sort of a tradition πŸ˜‚

Orangesaretheonly · 12/07/2022 06:33

Hello! I've not joined one of these since TTC my youngest who is 2.5! We are going to start trying for a third, have 2 girls. Due on my period any time now. Usually ovulate CD15 but last month was CD19 for some reason! Both our girls we conceived first month of trying with BD every other day around fertile window. I have a feeling it won't be as easy this time but we'll see!

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 12/07/2022 08:40

I feel so sick today. If I'm not pregnant my body is cruel 😬

Blossomhoney · 12/07/2022 09:44

Hi Ladies newbie here! Really hoping someone can help me please, I don’t know when to test! I came off my pill on 4th June and still haven’t had a period, started ttc from 21st June. I keep feeling sick and getting period pains but don’t know what’s going on.

Blossomhoney · 12/07/2022 09:45

Me too! It’s so hard isn’t it

emhope · 12/07/2022 09:54

Hi everyone can I join in please, I’m 12 dpo but had nothing but BFN’s and AF due in 2 days so pretty certain I’m out and therefore onto the next cycle to TTC an April baby 😊 it will be my 3rd cycle TTC after an MMC earlier this year. Really hope this next one will be the lucky one πŸ€

On another note FRER tests are Β£5.79 for a pack of 2 on Amazon today as part of prime day if anyone wants to stock up πŸ˜„

ExPatHereForAChat · 12/07/2022 10:09

Welcome @emhope ! Oh gosh, don't tempt me with the FRER, I wasted 4 last month.

@RugbyGirl1 I find SMEP okay as we're not that active the rest of the month, haha!

Good luck to you too, how lovely would an April baby be. This is month 7 for me after a mmc in Jan. DS only took 4 months so I'm getting very impatient now.

LauraA31 · 12/07/2022 10:14

@emhope I have text the boyfriend and told him to get me some ordered! I have one unopened pack but that’s not enough πŸ˜‚

Fingers crossed for you! I’m 2DPO and counting down the days! X

Sausage1990 · 12/07/2022 10:38

Hi ladies πŸ‘‹πŸ» I'm coming over to join you here now

AF has finished and I'm currently CD6. I've got some seven seas TTC vitamins on the way and ready to go again.

I'm feeling a bit mixed about a possible April baby as my 1st MMC (2nd loss) was an April due date. I'd love to get pregnant whenever I can, I just feel strange about.

My SIL is currently in labour and I'm both excited and sad. Excited to meet my little nephew and have newborn cuddles, but also sad because I wish my babies were here. I heard my MIL say to my FIL yesterday evening "we're going to have another grandchild soon" and I felt so sad because I thought we'd be bringing.home.the next grandchild. It's a funny mix of emotions. Bittersweet.

(I currently live with my in-laws as we're between homes and my SIL lives around the corner)

Indianna2006 · 12/07/2022 11:37

@Sausage1990 im exactly the same. My 1st mmc years ago was April due date. But maybe it’s meant to be?!

@Cegbee also in 2ww. 4dpo today…

TTC number 2.
Cycle 3 since mc in April/May. Altho first cycle was a chemical again. So really cycle 2…

but took 11 cycles originally to fall. So I have no bloody clue what chance I have ever 😩😩 it’s so hard!

overall 15 months ttc and beginning to lose the will to live over here. Fingers crossed and toes crossed this could be the month 🀞🏼🀞🏼

NSx · 12/07/2022 12:22

Hiya,
for those who mentioned SMEP … I’ve decided to try it this month - yesterday was CD8 so we startedπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and I feel like it’s a lot already.
when I fell pregnant with my baby in feb, I literally DTD 3 days in a row, the day before my first smiley on the Clear blue OPK and the day of and flashy and static. It seemed to do the trick, so I’m unsure if that may be enough?
what’s your thoughts x

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 12/07/2022 13:18

@NSx I've had 2 pregnancies before, one chemical and one was my son. Both months we had sex once! Do what feels right for you :)

CinderellaFant · 12/07/2022 14:21

So according to my Flo app I'm in my fertile period at the minute, I'm on cycle day 13 and estimated to ovulate at the end of the week. Every month when it says this we dtd every other day until after I ovulate (using opk's) this clearly isn't working as I'm not pregnant yet. Should we be dtd every day?

NSx · 12/07/2022 14:47

Yea I guess you are right, thanks ✨🀍

NSx · 12/07/2022 14:47

Sorry it didn’t tag you @Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels πŸ˜‚

How long have you been trying for ? I would DTD more before and during ovulation than after ?
but again I don’t know πŸ˜‚. X

CinderellaFant · 12/07/2022 15:37

@NSx this will be cycle 5 ttc. We dtd every other day between now and until I ovulate, you think it should be more? After ovulation we don't really until next month!

ExPatHereForAChat · 12/07/2022 16:06

Apparently DTD daily rather than EOD raises your chances a little. However, EOD is best if there are sperm issues. So I think either is fine...

So this week I've been saying a little mantra that goes "I'm preparing my womb to welcome a healthy baby". I think this TTC journey is actually sending me a little crazy. Or maybe it's the heat!

Wouldloveanother · 12/07/2022 16:08

Well I just tested my fertilily out, yeowwwch! Putting it in was only a little uncomfortable but getting it out is another story! Still, I managed it so it’s ready and waiting in my bedside drawers for now…

CD5, so a week-ish until ovulation, also trying pre-seed as I feel I’ll need it with the fertilily 😱

im absolutely determined not to test until missed period, if anyone wants to join me and encourage each other to hold out then please do!
