@Skylark1990 I'm on the progesterone from ovulation, not 100% sure exactly when I ovulated, I think either Saturday or Sunday so took my first pessary up the back door last night 😅

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 09:12

@bunnykins123 no never seen anyone for issues like this, because each time I’ve conceived it’s only taken 1-4 months! But since I had a MC in January my cycles have been crazy. And I know I’ll just get fobbed off that it’s ‘normal’.
I did have an ultrasound once when I had some irregular bleeding many years ago and they said they couldn’t see any cysts on my ovaries.

emhope · 27/07/2022 09:12

Nice to hear there are a few of us that have got peak at same time 😊

@pangolin84 my OH knew I did ovulation tests but we haven’t ever really spoken about when I get peak or when we need to DTD etc as like you said didn’t want to kill the romance lol but actually when I said about the peak today and need to DTD he was completely fine and just said ‘yes I know’ 😆 and now I do actually feel better that he knows the next 2 days most important.

@bunnykins123 yes definitely think you question everything when TTC. I was just testing once in the morning, as it says to test more frequently once get the flashing face but obviously never got that 🤦🏻‍♀️ If I don’t get BFP this month I think I will try testing from CD6 next cycle just in case I’m not starting early enough.

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 09:17

I’ve just looked at my chart from this year and it seems like every other cycle I have late ovulation. So it goes day 30 something, then 20 something, then back up to 30 something, then earlier again. Last month was the earliest at day 18. So this month is destined to be a 30 something from the looks of it.

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 09:51

Right I’m booked in at the docs in 4 weeks 👍 I have long suspected I have thyroid issues, that may be the culprit rather than pcos

FfayeN · 27/07/2022 10:20

@LuckyMoonstone it's positive you've booked an appt with the GP. The MC before my last caused issues with my thyroid and now my cycles are more regular (they were 17-21 days at one point) so it's good to get everything checked just incase! If you didn't want to wait that long Thriva are a good online testing option. I went equipped with those results to the GP so they couldn't rob me off.
I'd also look at Myo-inositol, it's meant to regulate hormones, but you're meant to avoid if you have low AMH/diminished ovarian reserve.
@emhope try testing in the middle of the day or evening, FMU is apparently not good for OPK. (I say as I test about 3 times a day with the easy@home ones in my fertile window!)
I also wouldn't worry about exercise affecting, I'm very active and have an active job, I wouldn't be surprised if this is more aimed at athletes with very low body fat as that can affect cycles.
Good luck all in your TWW, I hope it goes fast for you! Xx

FfayeN · 27/07/2022 10:20

@Skylark1990 I'll be on progesterone from a positive test 😊🤞🏼 xx

mummatara · 27/07/2022 10:26

@LuckyMoonstone be good to get some answers hopefully 🤞🏼 at least then you won't feel so crappy and unsure about being all over the place.

@Skylark1990 no symptoms doesn't mean it's a BFN I didn't know I was pregnant with my last until I was late for my period and did a test on the off chance I got plenty of symptoms at about 6 weeks though!

@emhope glad he responded well that's what we like to hear 😆

So happy for all the solid smileys happening 💕 and we get to do the TWW together! I had a little dip in temp this morning which is normal for me on O day so hope it rises tomorrow 🤞🏼 temps leading up to it have been fairly solid so I'm feeling hopeful!

@FfayeN I did look at getting a test online for like £30, and like you say it means they can’t ignore the evidence if it does look like something is wrong, so yes I might order one of those later

Indianna2006 · 27/07/2022 12:06

Hi ladies

I seem to be out of the AF slump now. Man they was a crap few days. I went a bit neurotic I think. Feel a bit better about things. Funny what hormones can do.

@Skylark1990 welcome to the group. Sorry you find yourself here. Think I recognise your name from maybe some other chats. It’s a crap group to be a part of but good for support none the less ☺️ And nice bunch

@Granforjam I know exactly how you feel. I had to start ttc much later than I hoped due to health issues. Always wanted about a 3 year age gap. We’ve now been ttc 15 months with two losses and my DD will be age 5 plus at least before a babies born. And if it takes a while to conceive even closer to 6 if it takes us 2 years in total. It’s absolutely rubbish. But we can’t control it or choose it. But it makes me sad each month but I think having this set idea in your head almost doesn’t help.

@LuckyMoonstone does sound like it’s gonna be a long month 😔 that must be so hard. It’s hard enough as it is waiting around let along not having exact set cycles and knowing what’s happening. It would drive me mad so don’t blame you for trying to see GP.

yay for lots of solid smileys. Good luck got those entering TWW. I have a good feeling about this month for one of us. 🤞🏼

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 12:09

@Indianna2006 thank you, and glad you’re feeling better. The first few days of AF always make me crazy too

MrsCristiano · 27/07/2022 12:20

@FfayeN @bunnykins123 the 'cup' has never been mentioned again🙈 DTD last night I literally was waiting for him to get to bed so at 1.30 this morning we DTD. I have learnt from bitter experience not to tell him. I'm off today so literally the only reason I waited up😅

@mummatara I think today might be close to peak judging by the amount of EWCM and a sneaky OPK this morning (I just needed to know) I'm not chill enough to wait and see after covid 😕

@LuckyMoonstone those private tests are meant to be excellent, keep us updated I'm tempted to do one myself xx

@Skylark1990 @theblueflowers the only indicator I had of pregnancy in May and the year before was zero symptoms in the TWW until I did the test🤷‍♀️

Welcome @Granforjam @cat9 ❤️

MrsCristiano · 27/07/2022 12:24

@Indianna2006 welcome back lovely 💕

FfayeN · 27/07/2022 12:26

@MrsCristiano @bunnykins123 I darent even mention a cup 🤣🤣. I think he's used to 'shall we?' And knowing the code! I have purchased a fertilily for this month though, see if that brings any month 1 joy!

Thriva was well worth the £80. I paid for thyroid profile. Keeps us posted @LuckyMoonstone

Xx

mummatara · 27/07/2022 12:29

@Indianna2006 glad you're feeling a bit better 💕

@MrsCristiano oooh 🤞🏼 your secrets are safe with us 🙊 I'm not chill enough to wait and see ever 😂

MrsCristiano · 27/07/2022 12:39

@mummatara 😂😂 also cannot be waiting up for DH to get to bed. So would rather know, I need my sleep before work 😅 I'm sure he knows too..me awake and DTD in the early hours is not a normal occurrence

mummatara · 27/07/2022 12:53

@MrsCristiano 🤣 yeah you can't be waiting up every night us ladies need sleep 🙊 I was thinking about this earlier that DH probably knows what time it is we don't normally DTD two days in a row I'm contemplating trying tonight or maybe leaving it for an early morning quickie if he doesn't have to be up at stupid o clock. I want to try at least once more before the window is gone and I feel like tomorrow night really might be too late though it probably isn't 😅 not sure how he'll feel about 3 days in a row he might just be like go away 😂

Skylark1990 · 27/07/2022 13:05

@LuckyMoonstone sorry to hear your cycle lengths are so inconsistent, that must be really hard. I got my thyroid and hormone levels all checked a few months ago via the GP, they did them quite quickly so hopefully you can get some done too, or like others say go private.

@Indianna2006 thank you for the welcome and glad you are feeling a bit better.

Thank you all for the reassurance about lack of symptoms, I know it's early and every pregnancy is different but I definitely had stronger symptoms the last few times. I am going to try not to think about it for a while as maybe implantation is going to happen later this time! 🤞🤷‍♀️

So funny all the tactics everyone does for DTD and not letting on its fertile time 😂... I've always been quite transparent and basically just said we need to DTD every second day for a week or so at least haha but ofc sometimes it doesn't work out. In fact the last two times I got pregnant we oy DTD the day before and day of ovulation I think. I sometimes think less is more in terms of sperm quality!! 🤭

Feeling very tired today, have my first call with the recurrent miscarriage clinic tomorrow so hoping that goes well and we get the tests underway asap.

theblueflowers · 27/07/2022 13:48

@Indianna2006 glad to see you back ❤️

@LuckyMoonstone really great that you have booked to see a GP. The data of your temps will be enough for them to see that things aren't exactly right, and hopefully they can do something. GPs can be so hit and miss, so being armed with info helps. I ended up having to go private to get help. My GP was so condescending, he spent 5 minutes explaining how a 28 day cycle works, complete with a graph 🤨

@Skylark1990 I will also be on progesterone from a positive test. I've heard a lot about the mess...
The second half of the TWW really messes with you, but I have been pregnant with no symptoms, and not pregnant with all of the symptoms so I just don't trust anything during this time.

Saying that... 8/9 dpo today and I've been having a sort of tugging feeling in my stomach. Doesn't feel like cramps, just a tiny bit of pressure that I keep noticing it. I don't know whether this is just all in my head though. My temps also keep climbing! DH wants to go and find a pregnancy test on holiday, but I'm weirdly enjoying the freedom of not having one to hand, and keeping the 'what if' feeling alive.

MrsCristiano · 27/07/2022 14:07

@Skylark1990 I literally cannot tell him. He obviously knows but cannot deal with 'the pressure' of the peak. I mean it's literally his only job in conception but quite an important one 😅

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 14:08

Thanks all, I am going to order one, hopefully I’ll get the results in time for my gp appointment. The receptionist asked me what it was about so i told her and then said she’d book me in with a female doctor which was nice of her to be considerate, although I honestly don’t get bothered seeing any gender of doctor about any issue! But in hindsight I’m quite glad as maybe this female doctor will be more understanding than a male would? Bit of a stereotype I know but I guess it’s because she’ll have some personal knowledge of what it’s like to menstruate/ovulate rather than just scientific knowledge.

MrsCristiano · 27/07/2022 14:15

@LuckyMoonstone there's a gp in my practice who has had several miscarriages and has 2 little girls now. Honestly she is brilliant! And always booked up. Glad you booked an appointment xx

Astar21 · 27/07/2022 14:20

Just found a white feather on my doorstep 🕊 Hoping this is a good sign of things to come!

@mummatara I'm definitely thinking an extra DTD tomorrow too, to cover all bases! Your temps look good, you'll have to keep us updated.

@Indianna2006 good to see you back. The crash of hormones during AF is the worst. Fresh new cycle for you now 🙏🏼

@LuckyMoonstone good idea to have some further checks done. I prefer to see a female GP as I think they're a bit more understanding regarding lady things and can relate more!

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 14:23

@Astar21 yeah it’s a relatable thing, she’ll understand where the concern comes from

LuckyMoonstone · 27/07/2022 14:24

@theblueflowers well he sounds like an idiot 🙄
