Hi @ballet-shoes I'm sorry you find yourself here. AF arrived 32 days after my D&C for miscarriage, however that was a while after the HB stopped. I was told it's common to wait anything from 3-6 weeks for AF though.
I think I ovulated about 3 weeks after the procedure. I can only imagine how you feel as those 32 days felt like an eternity. Hopefully AF shows up for you soon so you can restart with an idea where you are 😘. xxx

mummatara · 04/07/2022 23:09

Hi @ballet-shoes so sorry your in the club it's crappy but the people here are lovely ❤️

I'm almost 4 weeks post D&C and I'm still waiting for AF and a negative test 🙄 my opks went to low fairly quickly but have tested high the last couple of days but no peak yet. I'm keeping all crossed on weds for a negative test in the hopes everything will then kick start again

MrsGrealish · 04/07/2022 23:37

@ballet-shoes I was only 6 weeks and it happened naturally. Had loads of tests and scans during the miscarriage at different stages but when my level dropped to 84 she scanned my ovary and said I was about to ovulate. This was 3.5 weeks after the initial bleed. I know mine is a much less traumatic miscarriage than yours and what many ladies on this thread have endured but I thought I'd give my experience anyway x we didn't try then I was a mess and still a bit of a mess tbh Xx that hcg hormone can linger for ages

MrsGrealish · 04/07/2022 23:41

I actually peaked today. CD14 Gave myself a shake and did the OPk which was really dark. Still not ready hopefully another month will sort my emotions out Xx

TheBirdintheCave · 05/07/2022 06:55

Blank FRER this morning at 12dpo so I am officially out. Just waiting to start bleeding now :( Only six months left now before we have to stop and just accept that we'll never have a second child :( I don't know where to go from here. Should I send my husband for sperm tests again? I wish there was some way of fixing the problem :( I wish we had normal fertility. It's so depressing. The baby we lost felt like a miracle after only three months trying.

mummatara · 05/07/2022 07:11

@MrsGrealish that's good news at least when you're ready to continue your body is doing what is should be ❤️

@TheBirdintheCave sorry for the negative frer 😢

I've no idea where I am now. CB still has flashing smiley 4th day in a row. Opk cheap strip is in the high range but not a very high percentage like it's about to tip into peak. I tried another hcg strip which has a vvfl but still a line though this is a different brand than the ones that came up negative the other day and I've been very very thirsty which was one of my early pregnancy symptoms last time which did disappear

MrsGrealish · 05/07/2022 07:48

@mummatara did you do the medichek blood test yet? Yea it's good my body seems to be back to normal at least x

mummatara · 05/07/2022 07:51

@MrsGrealish yes no results yet I don't think I will get them until weds/Thurs as only posted back yesterday

MrsGrealish · 05/07/2022 07:56

@TheBirdintheCave sorry for the bfn too 😞I saw your clear blue yesterday, dialled up the contrast on my phone and could defo see a faint thick looking hint of a line. Sorry it didn't develop early testing is the worst but so addictive

bunnykins123 · 05/07/2022 07:56

@TheBirdintheCave I'm so sorry that you had a bfn especially after seeing a line the day before. These tests have gone so screwy recently! Have you had fertility bloods done? Ie fsh, lh etc? If not, go to your GP and see if you can get them done. I've just had mine done and I'm doing a scan this month and getting DH spermies checked. The NHS only do the basic test which doesn't test for fragmentation. This is when the spermies are damaged but that won't show on a standard test. It's about £500 quid. I'm going for that one as we've had 3 miscarriages and apparently frag can cause that.

@mummatara when I had lingering HCG, I did too much research into how to speed my body up in reducing them. Exercise and green tea help. Mine did go down quite quickly after this. Not sure if that helps but thought I'd share!

bunnykins123 · 05/07/2022 08:01

@LuckyMoonstone how are you doing today? I hope you're okay 💕

MrsGrealish · 05/07/2022 08:17

@mummatara you're a braver woman than me. Is it not like 3ml of blood you need to get🙈 I only ask because I'm tempted myself

@LuckyMoonstone how are you feeling today?

TheBirdintheCave · 05/07/2022 08:33

@bunnykins123 We had everything done before we had our son as we were on the pre-IVF route when it was discovered that my husband had low sperm motility. It took 15 months to conceive our son, naturally by some miracle, the day before our IVF round was due to start. Everything in regard to me seemed normal.

Before we got pregnant with the one we miscarried my husband had booked in a chat with the GP to see if he could get his sperm assessed again so we might see if we can do that at least. We cancelled it when we found out we were pregnant as we thought we didn't need it.

ballet-shoes · 05/07/2022 08:39

@FfayeN, @MrsGrealish, @mummatara thank you for your replies. Seems like it's a bit of a waiting game - and everyone's bodies are just so different.

I'm sorry too that you find yourself in this club, but I'm so grateful that everyone can support each other

bunnykins123 · 05/07/2022 09:18

@TheBirdintheCave does DH take any supplements? It may be worth while checking again - you've nothing to loose. I guess if you don't want to have to wait a long time, you could always try privately? I have a feeling spermies might be a factor for us (alongside issues with me and my prolactin levels too but that's not 'proven' yet). Would you consider IVF again? Maybe that's your lucky process!

bunnykins123 · 05/07/2022 09:20

@ballet-shoes I'm sorry you've found yourself in this group - we are a friendly bunch! It's a great space to chat and just vent - it's a frustrating process at the best of times. It took me 6 weeks in total following a mmc - 2 weeks of bleeding/spotting and then 4 weeks as normal after that. My HCG levels took yonks to come down but that's another story all together which I won't bore you with 😂

mooneagle · 05/07/2022 09:33

@calimc83 that’s for asking. Am coping but just feel terrible going back to work and starting from 0 again. I also feel trapped in my job as I couldn’t afford to move in case I did get pregnant and lose out on the maternity leave. However I’ve been trying 2 years and still nowt just two miscarriages.

It’s wasn’t a proper cycle this month anyway. Hopefully I can get pregnant again soon.

mooneagle · 05/07/2022 09:37

@TheBirdintheCave i feel your pain. It’s just a bloody mystery sometimes. Can you go back on the IVF route?

TheBirdintheCave · 05/07/2022 09:43

@bunnykins123 Yup, he takes loads and I'm surprised he doesn't rattle when he walks 😂I don't know what to do re the IVF, maybe wait the last six months we have left (it's to do with my age, I don't want to be older than 37 when I give birth) and then if it still hasn't happened go for the extortionate cost and pray it works first attempt as we could only afford one shot. I want my son to have a sibling so badly.

Anyway, I'll come back in a few weeks once I've ovulated again and check in with you all.

Good luck everyone for this month!

mummatara · 05/07/2022 10:04

@MrsGrealish lol it is a small vial def not just a few drops. I'm not sure on amount as it didn't say on the tube just said to fill to the line. I'm not squeamish so didn't bother me too much.

@bunnykins123 ooh thanks I never thought of looking to see if you can reduce it quickly. I shall get onto that my exercise has definitely been lacking since I went back to my desk job in jan 🙄

LuckyMoonstone · 05/07/2022 10:34

@bunnykins123 @MrsGrealish a bit sad and rubbish, but thank you both for asking x
Has anyone else found their periods have been heavier since they had a MC? Mine are awful for the first few days. Not painful, just extremely heavy :(

MrsGrealish · 05/07/2022 10:38

@LuckyMoonstone yes!! And longer 🙄 hopefully a one off 😕

LuckyMoonstone · 05/07/2022 11:28

@MrsGrealish all of mine for the last 6 months have been like it unfortunately :( its horrible

Margo34 · 05/07/2022 13:11

@LuckyMoonstone yes, after March MC!

@ballet-shoes welcome to the club we all wish we weren't a part of!

I'm still testing positive after my more recent MC, actually 4 weeks ago now. Proper lines, not a squinter. Still peeing loads and nips are so sore (but I do have an acrobatic BF toddler so I blame the toddler for that). I called my GP and they booked me in for a scan tomorrow at EPU to check there's nothing left.

Is it going to mess with my emotions all over again? I feel like I'm slowly getting back to a better headspace and this is going to send me out of whack again.

Indianna2006 · 05/07/2022 17:35

@LuckyMoonstone sorry for the faint tests and then AF arriving. It’s hits you so hard doesn’t it.

@TheBirdintheCave sorry for your new cycle too. How many cycles had you tried since the loss not many? I would say imo. Even though when you conceived your DS he had low motility etc these things change. 15 months isn’t totally abnormal tbh. It’s only slightly behind what they consider normal. And falling within 3 months this time. Totally think you are in for as much chance as anyone else. Just keep going. I’m certain it will happen for you. I know these timeframes can be hard. But giving birth at 37 or 38. Will that really matter if a few more months means a baby or no baby. You won’t care will you.

says me right!! Who also does these timelines. But I know in my head it’s stupid. We can’t plan it. We can’t choose it. We have to let it choose us. As hard as it is.

is anyone else due to test soon in there tww?

i am CD10 today. And due to ovulate in about 3 days. So tick tock lol.

xx
