Hello lovely Mumsnetters,

Mum to one toddler. Aged 42 and just got AF in first cycle TTC. Just read some of the (depressing) statistics on my age and fertility and feeling a bit glum. Thought maybe having a lovely bunch of online buddies in a similar position would be just the tonic for me and hopefully others too. Does anyone fancy joining the club?

Joining in. 42. one miscarriage one chemical. 9 months of trying (ironic amount of time). No kids yet. Friends over 40 have conceived. One has conceived, grown and given birth in the whole time we've been trying. That one has really got to me.

Hello to all the other 40+ people and everyone else who has joined.

GP phoned me about something unrelated today and I mentioned AF hasn’t returned yet - she wasn’t too bothered at this point but it is driving me insane just come back already

Sorry, I am an idiot, mixed this up with the June baby TTC thread and got all excited that so many other people over 40 had joined…!

Hi I've just had my second mc 3 years after my first

Was a shock to find out I was expecting again after such a gap

Very emotional at the minute

I'm 43 and worried about ttc again should I give up x

Can I join in please!

41 with a DH in his late twenties! It works please don’t judge me🫣I have 2 boys already (20 & 18) to their dad but me and DH are desperate for a family together. Not used contraception since copper coil removal in March 2020 and nothing.

My tests show ‘normal’ and DH has a sperm analysis appt in Dec.

Currently only taking folic acid and vitamin B6 as other fertility vitamins have totally ruined my cycles, I just don’t respond positively to them.

Fingers crossed we are blessed with a healthy baby soon x

I wondered if anyone has a positive outcome to share after having a HyCoSy? I've read that it can sometimes clear tubes or make the body work to repair itself leading to an increase in fertility for three months.

I'm 42 with 2 older children (12/16). Been trying with current partner for 2 years.

I had one and I honestly felt like it was a bit of a waste of money. All the medical staff were "aahing" at how lovely my uterus was.

That said I have a friend who had one and found it very painful so it seemed to unblock something for her and she got pregnant a few months later.

I'd put it in the leave no stone unturned bucket but don't expect anything dramatic to change.

I also had one, was quite painful. I did get pregnant the next month but resulted in an early miscarriage. Same thing happened to a friend of mine.
