Hi everyone,

I thought I would make a thread for those who are trying to conceive their first child.

I love reading about everyone's journey, but sometimes I just need a space where I can talk to others who are dreaming of their first bundle of joy 💫

I am 31 and on cycle #8. My periods were classed as irregular but since having the coil removed, they seem to have settled and I now have 30-33 day cycles. I threw my OPKs in the bin this month, they were stressing me out and after DTD on my peaks but getting AF's just upset me even more. I am hoping to take a more relaxed approach from now on.

@Drf when are you thinking of testing? I'm 9DPO, so thinking if I've not had spotting (I spot for 2/3 days before my period) by Saturday morning I'll do a test then.

I was thinking of testing on Saturday too, and if it's negative ill test again on Monday.

Isn't it mad how you notice every single little twinge and ache you get during these 2 weeks?! I'm a woman obsessed.

@Drf yes!! I Google absolutely everything followed by "... early pregnancy symptom"

I like your idea of testing Saturday and Monday, I'm going to do that too.

The baby clothes I ordered for my friend have just this minute arrived and it's got me all excited and anxious at once.

@itsnearlymytime exciting 🤩 9dpo is still early, but not impossible! I'll be 12dpo by Saturday. I realistically don't have much hope, but at the same time I'm bursting with hope.

Haha @newbiegreenfingers I've had a terrible cold and I've read things about how sneezing and congestion can be a sign so I was all excited... then my husband went and got a worse one.. so going by my logic he must be pregnant too🤷‍♀️

Awww stop.. the baby clothes 😩❤ I can't go in a shop without having a walk through the baby section. So cute!

@Drf it is! i just can't help myself, I told myself this month I would wait and I just don't think I can 😂 I'm not overly hopeful either we only DTD the day before ovulation, day of ovulation and the day after !! X

@Drf haha I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have no one else to show the order to, so I'm sharing with this thread. How cute is this little cardi! With little pockets on the flowers! What do babies need pockets for? Can't wait to give it to my friend, it's right up her street :)

@itsnearlymytime 2 of my friends in the past 2 years had one night stands. One in a hot tub (apparently they do bad things to sperm), both while steaming drunk, ONE time, with people they weren't regularly sleeping with... and they got pregnant. One with twins. So if that can happen then surely your perfectly timed TTC has every chance!
Maybe we all need to get drunk and go on a hot tub holiday?!

@newbiegreenfingers stop 😭❤ thats so cute! Babies need pockets so their mothers can show everyone how cute their little pockets are. That's genuinely the only reason. I think it's a pretty good reason.

@Drf it's always the way! I was 18 and I got pregnant from a ONS, took the morning after pill and the pregnancy was still viable sadly I lost it at 9 weeks - I had all intentions of keeping it once Id found out I was pregnant and that the morning after pill had failed, I thought it must be fate!

Now I'm actually trying and it's taking time its infuriating!

Hi ladies! What a lovely thread, I hope it’s okay for me to join too!?

TTC for #1, we started to try right after Christmas, fell pregnant on cycle #2 but we unfortunately had a MC in early March. It’s been the hardest thing we’ve ever had to go through and it’s something we both are still very sad about! We cannot wait to become parents!
Now on cycle #4 after the MC so technically this is our #6 cycle trying. CD 5 today.

I’m from Sweden, couldn’t really find any good forum for ttc in Swedish, so I searched internationally and found mumsnet. Loving the atmosphere here!

I’m quite struggling with all the emotions, it feels calming to know I’m not alone. Hoping for lots of BFPs here soon ❤️

I'm in nearly the exact situation as you! We had a mc early February! It's so difficult isn't it! Sending you lots of love xx I was told by my doctor don't worry you're super fertile after a mc! 🙄😂 and here we are. Sending baby dust to everyone, here's to 2023 babies ❤️

Yes, so so difficult! Even more difficult for us since two separate friends have announced their pregnancies with due dates very close to what would have been our due date 😔 it was an early mc, but wow, it was already a very loved baby.

Just hoping for lots of February/March babies in here! 2023 has a nice ring to it!

Hi I've joined this thread in the hope to start keeping up with more like me as I've been TTC for 6 months now! I'm going to have more of a read into the thread tomorrow as it's midnight now and I'm driving myself crazy every night trying to sleep looking into stuff!! Xx

7dpo today. Caved and testes. BFN of course. I have one FRER and 1 Pregnosis left so going to try and hold out testing until the weekend. I have to work at 6am on Sunday and Monday and I honestly cbf testing that early so that's a bit of a deterrent 😅

My Wondfos got delivered today, a week early. Resisting the urge because I've already peed like 3 times today 😂

Welcome @Freespirit98! It’s so nice to talk to others who are ttc. I don’t have any friends who are at the same “chapter” as me, they are either mums/pregnant or far from it.

Morning all! 5dpo today, had some "vivid" dreams last night but nothing pregnancy related, just a weird dream which I can recall most of it!

I’m doing fine. Starting to get over the emotions of AF:s arrival and getting excited for this month’s possibilities. Maybe it’s my month! CD6 today and period should be over today or tomorrow so we can start to DTD.

@Loouloo praying it is! Going to test at 9dpo on Sunday! In the office tomorrow and then Friday off so hopefully it will go by quickly now!

The TWW sucks! oooh yes good luck for this month, I always get excited at the end of my AF to try again! The TWW is the most antagonising thing ever

@itsnearlymytime exiting!! 😍 but I totally agree, the TWW is horrible 😞 I was totally defeated when AF arrived this time, I had really gotten my hopes up during TWW since we definitely hit ovulation last month. But oh well, hopefully we’re lucky this time!

I broke my own rules and I didn't wait until Saturday. I tested this morning after a night of the WILDEST pregnancy dreams, I just had to. This happened.
Too scared to get excited because I had a dodgy test last month which showed a second line even though I wasn't pregnant, and I'm only 9dpo.
Do you see it?! It looks quite pink in person BUT I'm very aware that I'm on antibiotics which make your pee luminous, so it could well be dye mixing. I'll need to test over the next few days to know for sure.
