Hi everyone,

I thought I would make a thread for those who are trying to conceive their first child.

I love reading about everyone's journey, but sometimes I just need a space where I can talk to others who are dreaming of their first bundle of joy 💫

I am 31 and on cycle #8. My periods were classed as irregular but since having the coil removed, they seem to have settled and I now have 30-33 day cycles. I threw my OPKs in the bin this month, they were stressing me out and after DTD on my peaks but getting AF's just upset me even more. I am hoping to take a more relaxed approach from now on.

Anyone here get cramps around ovulation? I got a peak opk on Monday morning and today I have had hideous cramps (like period cramps) and felt a little nauseous. This is my first month ovulating since coming off the pill but in the past I have never had anything like this.

I'm cramping/lower back pain and have started having some very light brown pink spotting when I wipe - not normally how my period starts but I daren't hope it might be implantation 🤞🤞🤞

@flowerexpress Welcome to the thread 💖 this journey is a lot of overthinking......it can be hard to not worry. We all do it. Talk to your doctor for reassurance. Mine have been brilliant with irregular periods etc.

@db91 and @Loouloo sorry to hear you are both finding the journey emotional at the moment. It sounds like a few of us are struggling and feeling disheartened. I was the exact same when AF arrived last. Thinking of you both! Keep on reaching out to us 💕

@carsty Good luck with seeking advice about possible PCOS. Why do you feel you may have some issues that could be affecting your fertility?

@SFrancis1 i know a few people with pcos and i have some symptoms similar to that so checking this...also been going without contraception nearly a year and never been pregnant

I'm out. Huge temp drop this morning which means AF is definitely on her way. Ah well, on to the next cycle!

I'm out too and we can't try next month because he's away the whole of my fertile window. Feeling really down about it.

I wasn't going to test do this test is done at like 1pm. It's either the worst indent in the entire world or its a faint bfp

I’m learning to track my cervix’s position.So, around ovulation the cervix is high and soft, after the fertile window, the cervix is low and hard. During pregnancy it’s high and soft again. Does anyone know if the cervix stays high all the time during the TWW if you’re pregnant or does it “sink” and then rise again before the end of the TWW?

I think I see the line @Gizzy93 ! Will you test again in a couple of days and let us know? So exciting!

@Gizzy93 i do think there is the faintest line there 😍please keep us updated on the progression!

I'm so worried it's going to end up being an indent. I did do another one about 3.5 hours later and the line in fainter but still there.
I thought there was a hint of a line on a wondfo with the second fr but I can't see it now

I have very AF like cramps, but also have some hip pain radiating into my butt cheek so hopefully I don't wake up to AF and get a proper BFP instead 🤞

@Gizzy93 what about doing a clear blue digital to put your mind at ease?

@newbiegreenfingers I do have two of those in my drawer 😅
A little worried that they're not as sensitive as FRER so will be negative and a waste. I'll do another FRER in the morning and then if it's very visible, I'll dip the digital too

had a bit of a freakout after BFP as had and been having some brown/pink blood/spotting. Spoke to the GP who said it's normal and from implantation so just wanted to share incase anyone experiences the same thing as I had no idea!

Apologies for the tmi, but i thought af was showing her ugly red head as I felt something coming out of me, but when i went to the loo it was still the white milky discharge...i thought this would stop by now as af due in 2 days oh well.

Oddly at this time my pms would be raging with very painful cramps, sore boobs headache etc...maybe this cycle will not be so bad

I have a question......do you all experience EWCM around the date of ovulation?
