@Tinkerbell098 don't know if it helps but if you did a digital pregnancy weeks indicator, with a reading of 119, you'd get 1-2 weeks. 153 or more, so not masses more than that would be 2-3 weeks. Hoping it goes up but yes, keep expectations low and then hopefully you'll be able to get to the point of believing it is real!!!! X

Koalie · 13/10/2022 15:11

@Tinkerbell098 that’s amazing news! I don’t think hcg level can really be used to judge the viability without a second one in 48 hours so try not to read too much into it and stay away from Google ! 😆 PMA only - celebrate the fact that you’re PREGNANT 🎉♥️

NatW2021 · 13/10/2022 16:26

@Tinkerbell098 Amazing news, everything sounds really positive so pleased for you!!

@lemons44 - glad you are enjoying MAFS ill be gutted when it finishes!! Hows things with you? Any updates on dates for the procedure? Xx

Tinkerbell098 · 13/10/2022 21:11

@FlyOnTheWall89 thanks I’ll try a digital from boots tomorrow. Amazon never delivered my order!

@Koalie yes I think you’re right. I’m not sure why they won’t do a second blood test. I looked into getting it done privately but the prices seem similar to an early scan so just tempted to do a scan instead at 6 weeks. But then worried what if it shows nothing!

@NatW2021 thank you ❤️

really appreciate the support everyone! Thank you and lots of love ❤️

Carla2601 · 13/10/2022 21:44

@Tinkerbell098 congratulations! If the clinic are happy that’s a really good sign isnt it! I think the reason they say not to scan at 6 is because if there’s no heartbeat it could still come so might give more stress than it’s worth maybe?

BritInNZ · 14/10/2022 01:21

@Tinkerbell098 yayyyyy congratulations!!! I can't remember my level at 5 weeks unfortunately, but that was through my clinic and then my GP ordered a second one. So wonder if you could try that? They did that and swabs to check for infections etc etc. I know by the second blood test it was 1700ish 😊 I know you'll be cautiously excited, but it's great news so I hope you can enjoy it!

@Tinkerbell098 p.s. I had a scan at 6 weeks and 4 days and saw a heartbeat, so maybe aim for 7 weeks instead? Just to be on safe side 😊 these first few weeks will drag though and it will seem like forever to wait!

Tinkerbell098 · 14/10/2022 08:43

@BritInNZ thanks! Good idea! I have booked an appointment with GP this morning so I will ask if they can run more bloods. The scan the clinic has booked will be 7 weeks plus 4, so this should be ok. The time is just going to drag I know. I think I've been extra impatient because OH has been abroad for a week and a bit now. He's back on Saturday though, so hopefully these 2 weeks will fly by after. I'm still getting positives on the cheapies so I'll take it as a good thing and enjoy this time, rather than being anxious about everything! What will be will be I guess! Hope everything's well with you X

NatW2021 · 14/10/2022 10:20

AF started, baseline scan today. Start Letrozole tomorrow wish me luck!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Tinkerbell098 · 14/10/2022 11:26

@NatW2021 good luck for scan today! You must be pleased to finally get started. Thinking of you X

Tinkerbell098 · 14/10/2022 14:24

@BritInNZ LOL so the GP said no, that they don't do hCG blood tests in "GP land". My GP is so rubbish and never ever has been helpful. So that's out.

BakinABaby · 17/10/2022 19:42

I came on my period today so the first cycle of progesterone therapy was not successful.

Tinkerbell098 · 18/10/2022 10:49

@BakinABaby I'm sorry this cycle didn't work out. Would they do another one at a higher dose perhaps?

Netflixnchilli · 18/10/2022 14:38

Hi everyone, haven’t been here in a long time so just did a massive catch up!

congratulations to those of you who had graduated to a BFP! Amazing news and it’s nice to see it happening for so many of you!

Have been on my thyroxine a couple months now and my TSH is now within normal limits so was hopefully it’d finally happen but AF turned up 3 days ago - late as well so I got my hopes up. Tried to book my HSG but the clinics is full so now need to wait another month. I’m cycle 17 now and just feeling so fed up of it all.

how is everyone else doing? Do you mind me asking what your progesterone levels were? My cycles have gone a bit haywire since we’ve started doing bloods so it keeps ending up being completely the wrong cycle day that I’ve had them done!

Anyway, lots of love to you all xxx

BakinABaby · 18/10/2022 21:15

@Tinkerbell098 I'm not really sure, she prescribed the 200mg for three cycles. I'm not actually inclined to believe lack of progesterone is our issue (if only the gyno had ordered some basic tests, kinda miffed about that) because I don't have any symptoms of it, but I found some paper online about it that seemed to show improved results regardless, so I'll just do the remaining two cycles and see where that gets us.

On a somewhat related note, I would really want to get pregant this year, not only because I want them close in age, but also how the law is set up in my country, it makes the difference of getting preganancy and birthing leave + mat leave based on my good income pre kids or getting minimum wage, and that is for 22 months so it matters.

Koalie · 20/10/2022 20:53

I had my HyCosy yesterday and it was helllll 😭 so painful! Tubes are clear and they couldn’t find anything on my left side to explain the weird discomfort so I’m still in the dark about that. They did say I had a dominant follicle already on the left side (only CD8!) does that mean I’m going to ovulate really early? 🤔 how long after a dominant follicle can be seen on an ultrasound do you ovulate, does anyone know? Xx

NatW2021 · 21/10/2022 08:30

@Koalie Glad it was all clear, luckily mine was more just a faff getting the catheter in place then it was fine. Least you have it over and done with now its such a relief isnt it. Did they say what size it was? Likely you might ovulate cd 11/12 again? I am CD8 and have my follicle scan tomorrow after taking Letrozole all week so I'm interested to know how things are progressing in my ovaries as i have had lots of twinges etc 😂 x

Tinkerbell098 · 21/10/2022 09:43

@Koalie sorry you had a bad experience with the hycosy. But glad everything's clear and no issues. Did they say what size the follicle was?

@NatW2021 have you had any side effects on letrozole? good luck for scan tomorrow X

NatW2021 · 21/10/2022 09:54

@Tinkerbell098 Hey, how are you? All going well? Its been hard to tell i have been away from home most of the week with work so been on the go constantly and not slept great in hotels but i have felt really tired when waking up and also having really weird dreams, some nausea but hard to point it at Letrozole as i have been out of my normal routine. Really hoping i have 2 dominant follicles 🤞 i had 8 on one and 9 on the other at my baseline scan x

NatW2021 · 21/10/2022 09:58

Just googled and apparently dreams are a side effect but mine have been more like nightmares 😂 although i just remembered my dream last night was a about a positive pregnancy test and i remember fran

NatW2021 · 21/10/2022 09:59

Sorry sent without finishing *frantically doing loads of tests as i couldnt believe it haha! @BritInNZ did you have weird dreams on Letrozole? X

Koalie · 21/10/2022 13:08

I didn’t ask what size they were 😭 wish I had! I wish I’d asked to watch the whole thing now, looking back.

@Tinkerbell098 how you feeling? Did you decide whether you were going to book an early private scan?

@NatW2021 oooo maybe the pregnancy dream is a sign! My sister had a dream about me giving birth the same day I had my first ever positive pregnancy test. It was very weird! 😆

x

Tinkerbell098 · 21/10/2022 13:32

@NatW2021 I'm alright, anxiety has reduced a little bit now, so just waiting until the scan! how long are you away for? That's an interesting dream :) maybe it's sign X

@Koalie I decided against a private scan and wait until the clinic scan which is still 11 days away! I was worried what if we don't see anything and what then? So, might as well wait it out.

Koalie · 21/10/2022 15:10

@Tinkerbell098 good idea! 11 days is not long at all 🥰 xx

BritInNZ · 21/10/2022 19:32

@NatW2021 can't say I did but I always have really vivid dreams and I'm an incredible sleeper, so guess it wouldn't be any different to usual 😂 I literally had no side effects from letrozole at all. The one side effect I had (thirsty) turned out it was a pregnancy symptom instead haha
