@Kelb79 that's such positive news! Busy days ahead! I was wondering about testing for egg quality so useful to hear your experience there. But wow that information about blood type..... that could be SO USEFUL to other women who are struggling. It's so disappointing that the knowledge and support really isn't there. @Kelb79 how reassuring for you!! Sounds like there's a bunch of positivity going on over there, love it!! I'm so glad they haven't dismissed the idea of using your own eggs, I feel like they've done that to us here already.

@dollymixture31 I don't think they can test egg quality as the egg will either be fertilised or dissolve into AF. Maybe they can during IVF but I honestly have no idea......

I’m trying not to be a Mopey Mabel at the moment. I’ve had a weird cycle this month, ovulated later than normal which threw me. I’m 6dpo now, but had AF cramps since 4dpo which is unfortunately normal. I have a short LP so expecting spotting to start tomorrow ish, with full AF by Saturday. Happy Jubilee! 🙄Getting an appointment with my GP is proving to be a bit of an Olympic sport as well and it’s all getting me down! We go away on Saturday for a few days which is good as will be a distraction and I’ll be safe to have a drink or 5! 🍹

Great news, @Kelb79 !! All fingers crossed for you - I'm the same, not great AMH levels but I have always had a reasonable antral follicle count. Egg quality is always a bit of a gamble but there are plenty of people who are successful!!

It's my birthday today! So half celebrating turning 41....half trying to forget it's happening!! My OH has been super spoiling so I can't complain :o) we're also off to Portugal on Sunday, so also have that to look forward to! So looking forward to some sun and beach time.

Currently on cycle day 39 - no sign of af but my periods were super late after my last ivf cycles so assuming that is what it is!! No sore boobs so definitely not pregnant and not testing this time because I find it too depressing! Was hoping af would come before we go on hols so I could do a monitoring cycle at the new clinic before I go, but maybe it won't have arrived until I get back so I'll be able to anyway 🤣🤣🤣

@99pctpractice the consultant honestly doesn't seem to care what's going on with me, she just puts everything down to my age, doesn't listen to a word I'm saying and that's about it!

@dollymixture31 so sorry this has happened to you, It's so so horrible. You should get some help about next steps from early pregnancy unit near you.

Well I thought I was finally ovulating s week ago as I had loads of ewcm but now I have loads again today! 🤦🏼‍♀️ if this carries on I'll have to just take the clomid - cd98 now!

@YellowLoafers have you tried anything to help lengthen your luteal phase? I’ve been doing acupuncture for a few months and it’s added 2 days to my cycle. I wish I’d done it sooner - I was totally naive and used the think that short cycle was great because I got more chances to get pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve been crazy busy with work - no bank holiday for me 🤣
keeping my mind a bit off the crazy emotional journey approaching though!
have booked flights for retrieval and bought a pill organiser coz I’m sick of having to open so many bottles every day 🤣🤣🤣 ffs!

trying to just go with the flow and not overthink it!
ovulated yesterday and covered it just in case (a miracle would be epic!!!) BUT… my medication plan is to start taking the pill on the 13th - that’ll be 9dpo - will that screw any chance of implantation?? or could it still happen??
I know I’m grasping at straws but that’s TTC right?! 🤣

i’ll give anything a try @Kelb79 thank you, will look into acupuncture. So far have tried B6 and Vit C. I’ve had a bit of an LP win this cycle, was expecting to start full AF Saturday with spotting 2 days before (usually CD 7/8) but the spotting only started today which is CD11! I was upset this morning to see the spotting, because of course the no show of spotting got my hopes up, despite having cramps like normal! But now am taking heart from the extra LP days…plus I’m in Greece so I’m now free to indulge in ALL the booze and food!!

Will let someone more knowledgable than me comment on your meds, but very excited to hear you’ve booked your flights and covered base around ovulation! Fingers crossed for you and all of the fabulous ladies on the thread ❤️ 🤞

@traceyann44 I’m useless at charting myself, so I’ve been using Femometer and this last month I bought Ovucore device and I let apps work it out! I was also a sod for getting out of bed and thinking “oops didn’t take temp” 🙄 so thought Ovucore would make it more idiotproof for me! All that said, on your chart CD 15/16 look promising with the EWCM and temp rises after. There’s bound to be a chart wizard along soon who knows more though. Good luck to you 🤞🤞

Currently trying to conceive number two. Had 2 miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy and a chemical pregnancy before managing to conceive my little boy. Been trying for number two since last year and have had two more losses. Found out the last one was chromosome issues. Have been reading ‘it starts with the egg’ and throwing myself with gusto into the changes it recommends for getting that good egg! Though feel slightly like a cult member going through everything in my house looking for toxins. If it can save me future heartbreak though and I can get a healthy pregnancy it’ll all be worth it. Do wonder though if I’m pushing my luck too far, risk from age alone is far from great.

@YellowLoafers I’ve temped before but just used a standard thermometer I’ve never heard of Ovucare, is it any good? is it expensive.

im 5DPO, no obvious symptoms either way 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m due to start taking the pill for my IVF cycle on the 13th - I Think I’m gonna have to test with a FRER at 9DPO before I start taking it, and maybe for a few days afterwards…. Just in case of a miracle 🤷🏼‍♀️
but slowly getting my head around the fact that we’re trying something else. Trying not to let anxiety creep in but it’s the money that’s freaking me out - it feels like gambling 😵‍💫😵‍💫

That sounds tough with the pill. Is it the contraceptive pill you have to start? Such a shame you have to start before af, would be much nicer to know you definitely weren’t pregnant. Do you know if it would definitely stop a pregnancy? You hear of people who get pregnant whilst on the pill so sounds like for some people once you’ve had a small window without protection, it doesn’t stop the pregnancy from developing.

Wow @BecauseICan22 that’s amazing, a bfp. Wishing you lots of baby dust for a happy and healthy pregnancy. I’ve had losses myself and for me I’m always quite anxious at the news as it feels like the first of many hurdles. But I hope you get chance to take joy in this moment and that this is the sticky bean you’ve been waiting for.

@pcmod yep, microgynon. It feels so counter intuitive to go on the pill to try to get pregnant 🤣🤣 I’ve been google crazy with this one and it seems that if you start taking the pill at the start of your cycle you’re protected immediately but any later and you aren’t protected for the first week so I’m thinking if it were going to happen it could. I also read that taking the pill in early pregnancy doesn’t harm the baby. Fingers crossed for that miracle then!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

my friends just tested positive today after their IVF transfer ❤️ I’m delighted for them but, as always, it’s tinged with the little green man 😵‍💫

had another drama with our journey this week - was asking my assistant at the clinic how I could go about keeping my meds at the right temperature when I go back to Spain for retrieval only to find out that the pharmacy had told me the wrong instructions!! I had put the (incredibly expensive) meds in the freezer by mistake!!!! 24 hours of total panic later…. I sent them pics/ idea of the meds to assess stability and they’ve come back saying they’re fine! THANK F@CK!!!! 😅 I got in a right mess with it all!!

so much for staying chilled and relaxed 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Nightmare@Kelb79 how stressful. I'm glad everything is ok. It's all so confusing. My af due any day. Can't wait so I can start the whole process and start the 18 day count down till transfer.

@Kelb79 I always really struggle when others get good news. Just want to avoid anything to do with pregnancy and babies, but not easy when it’s a friend. Having a little boy as well, seems everywhere we go is full of pregnant people and babies. It’s really tough when you’re going through all this stuff.
That all sounds crazy stressful with the meds. Must be really high pressured when it’s all so expensive and important. Hope the stress levels have subsided now you’ve got the all clear.
Have you got a date for the retrieval? Imagine it must be very exciting and scary at the same time?

@traceyann44 You’ve got more will power then me. Always tell myself I won’t go crazy with poas but then I just can’t help myself! Good for you holding out. The hcg thing doesn’t sound ideal, must be hard to know what’s going on!

I’m currently waiting to get my cycles back after my miscarriage. Hoping it doesn’t take too long. Not sure if it’s particularly healthy but just desperate to get started with ttc again! Though started with loads of supplements, healthy diet etc so trying to convince myself a break is good so I can’t get myself and eggs in good shape!

Lurking but wanted to get your opinions on blood test results. TTC #2, have been for some time. Am booked for hycosy at private clinic in a couple of weeks time and will get AMH result then too.

In the meantime had day 2 tests via NHS. Had previous issues with high prolactin and PCOS before I conceived DD which I thought were possibly back but bloods don't seem to suggest that. I guess I was hoping for that as then there would be something to fix! Also really struggling with my weight at the moment, no amount of dieting is shifting even a pound. The whole thing is getting me down and making me thing we should stop and just be happy we have DD.

Anyway now I'm rambling - I'm not really familiar with the other tests but they are in the normal ranges, does any of this tell anyone anything?

the hcg thing we all have it in our systems some more than others this is why I don’t want to confuse myself hence waiting to test nearer af day .
