I'm bleeding now so it was defo an evaporation line. Did another test that same day and it was negative. Just a short moment of slight hope. I'll just keep trying.

@ShonaMit I can relate as I was 4 days late this month, when normally my cycle is always 28/29 days. But all FRERs negative and period came on Thursday. Here's to a successful month next month instead. XxX

Girls… I’m freaking out a bit 😵‍💫
this cycle AF was normal for me. Stopped as usual and then after 2 days started again, not heavy but light bleeding for another few days. That never happens and freaked me out a bit but it’s got worse!
I only LH tested once the day before my (usually bang on) predicted OV and it was super low.
then yesterday at predicted 5DPO I’ve started bleeding again. Much heavier than even my normal bleed.
I got up this morning to not much blood (I use a moon cup so can monitor it really well)
about 15 mins later my cup started leaking , which again never happens, and when I emptied it there was a massive clot!
I get little clots with AF but I’ve never seen anything like this - TMI sorry, but it a look it’s looked like chunks of liver 😳😳😳

anyone ever had this??? Any ideas??? Should I see my GP/fertility clinic??

@Iusedtobedontcall I’m so pleased you’re feeling positive and going to try again. The scan sounded so similar to ours so I guess it goes to show how difficult it is to tell. It was such bad luck for you both. I really hope you get a rainbow soon. It’s really reassuring you’ve had two pregnancies so far. Xx

@Kelb79 that does sound weird. I hope it resolved itself - was the doc any use? Sorry, a bit late to come back to you, but I had weird periods after I took the coil out (similar to what you're describing: a normal if short period, which would then stop for 2 days and then start again, but without the mega bleed that you had this time), I went to the doc and they booked me in for an ultrasound. It took about 2 months before I had the apt, they checked for cysts or other abnormalities, found nothing, and that was it. Acupuncture in the end resolved my periods or maybe just time after having the coil out. I also had very weird periods (heavy and long cycles) after finishing ivf, so could it be related to that for you?

how are you all? Everyone’s been so quiet! 😝
I’m ready to start the DE process but they want to wait for the results of scans following my crazy bleeding 😐 being NHS my scan isn’t until 11th April!! 😩
we’re going to Spain at the end of the month to get things started though.
in the meantime no more bleeding but also nothing to report - I’ve completely lost interest in OPKs and tracking OV, we’ve hardly BD’d this cycle so it would be nothing short of a miracle if I conceived (tbf it would be a bloody miracle if we BD’d every day 🤷🏼‍♀️🙄)
I think I’m actually scared to conceive naturally! 😐

@Kelb79 hyia yes everyone seems to of disappeared glad your taking steps forward as for me I’m 16 dpo with stark white negative tests cramping today so I’m sure af will come later tonight or tomorrow we didn’t bd much either so it will be a miracle to good luck on your journey .

Hi everyone, I'm still here just trying to hold on. I'm getting bigger by the second., tired and swollen . I'm at 29 weeks now. Just trying to make it to 32 weeks. But they will give me a date hopefully on Wednesday for my section. They are trying to hold off as long as they can. Sending baby dust to everyone xxx

@October1979 well done on keeping those little people safe and snug this far. Wishing you all the best over the next 3 weeks to keep them in as long as possible too. I can imagine it's not very comfortable for you right now!

My AF was 4 days late last month so got excited and tested loads but all negative and was a false alarm. Strange as normally my cycles are spot on and regular like clockwork. In my fertile window now so will give things another go this month-month 4 of trying.

@October1979 ohmygod I can’t believe where the time has gone!!!! I remember you telling us your news like it was yesterday!!
i can’t believe I’m still in no man’s land after so long either 😵‍💫 it’s coming up to 4 years TTC for us now 😐

@Kelb79 arrrrh I love Cornwall one of my childhood memories was my first holiday my Nan and grandad took me lovely there .

yes boo for the negative test but af has started this morning just spotting but will come for sure 😞 and yes we live in hope we have to x

@Kelb79 it is I knew af was coming with my cp last month I had a clear positive hpt on 9dpo for 1 week and it didn’t get any darker this month I didn’t feel anything no different just the usual af symptoms it’s weird how your body knows oh well there’s always next month been ttc a successful pregnancy for 16 years so another month ain’t gunna hurt is it x

I have had a weird sort of AF today. I have cramps but only very little bleeding. I’m 3 and a half weeks post surgery so probably don’t have much uterine lining to shed. Hopefully it’s a sign that my body is getting back to normal. I had a counselling session today and what came out of it is that I’m spending a lot of time worrying about what other people are thinking and feeling but I’ve no idea what I’m actually feeling.

@Iusedtobedontcall its okay I just feel like giving up it’s been 15 yrs of attc and 3 yrs of ntnp I am 51 but still have regular periods apart from December last yr where I missed that month but was under a lot of stress but back regular now . And ovulating every month using opks and BBT I dunno maybe it’s my eggs there no good I suppose I will never know unless I do IVF which is not an option money and all that so I just have to leave it to fate and hope for a good egg one month .

as for yourself take your time in how and what you feel you did what was best for yourself and your baby I remember when I had my third loss I know it’s a different situation I had a D&C and I didn’t bleed for 6weeks but never bled when I had the procedure either my af was normal at 6 weeks it’s weird how your body still goes through the normal process of the feeling of having a baby . But it’s early days for you and I’m sure you will figure out how and what you feel how’s your other half coping with this can you talk about it with him when I lost my baby my husband shut off we still don’t talk about it even my CP I HAD LAST MONTH he don’t like talking about it but that’s men for ya .

I'm 44 and TTC number 2 but as I edge closer to 45, I think it's over 😢

I'm often felt that people think 40 is too old to have a baby, I had my DD1 a week after my 40th birthday!

Because I'm of covid I've delayed having a second until last year.
I feel like I'm the only one who has done this as every seems to have a second already...like 2 years after their first.

Anyway I just wanted to know how you went on your journey and what you are hoping for. Like you say, you are still having regular AF and using OPKs with success?

I'm also not able to do IVF.

Hi all. I've been lurking here for a while so thought I would say hello. I'm 41 (42 in July) and ttc #2 for almost 2 years. It's been a mix of ntnp and more actively trying with opks but nothing at all in that time. I was 2 days late this month and really thought this was it but no! I swing between thinking I am very happy with my dd so maybe I should stop now and thinking how lovely it would be for her to have a sibling.

However, DH and I have agreed that, whilst a second would be nice, we aren't going to go down the IVF route so what will be will be.....So@theleavesfall I just wanted to say I know how you feel and it is definitely not just you trying for number 2 a while after number 1. But I know what you mean, my SIL had her first a year after me and has now announced number 2 is due in a few months....

I too also think I should just be happy with DD1 as there are some couples TTC their first at my age!
I've been using OPkS with mixed success.
The Clearblue digital are the clearest but the most expensive.
I've stopped taking pre natal vitamins (Blackmores Gold) as they were actually giving me stomach cramps at night!!
Anyone recommend better supplements?

I did read a post on a similar thread of someone just going with it , after being told she had 2% chance of conceiving at 44.5 years, and then got pregnant when not really trying! I mean can it happen?

I just take high strength folic acid and vitamin D now. Not sure if that’s enough. I’m in a weird situation in that I seem to be able to conceive but my eggs aren’t healthy.

@theleavesfall oh bless you okay so I have 3 beautiful daughters from a previous relationship ages 29, 24, and 20 I separated from him 18 years ago I got with my now husband we have been married 4 years September and been together 18 yrs . We started ttc pretty much straight away I fell pregnant straight away at the age of 33 and miscarriaged at 5 wks naturally 3/4 yrs later I fell pregnant again and miscarried that baby at 10 wks perfect heartbeat at 7wks baby passed at 8 wks 3 years later I fall pregnant again at 40 yrs old got to 11 wks perfect heartbeat at 7 wks baby passes at 9 wks I was also told to take baby aspirin which I did this was to help with the blood flow to the placenta and helped prevent miscarriage not in my case .I had to have the last 2 babies surgically removed which was traumatic but as we do we carry on .

now we went to 2 fertility specialists. Has numerous bloods scans and dh sperm checked all completely normal no reason I Carnt carry a baby to full term but they just saw me as I have children and I can conceive and to go away and keep ttc and that’s what we have done I have had multiple CP last month I had a positive hpt at 9dpo but it didn’t progress so here is af cd 2 and ttc for April it’s been a long road with no help I don’t want to go to my doctors and say I’m ttc again cause at my age I feel like they will laugh at me so I just live in hope and hope that one day I will be a new mom again .

I am going to start prenatal vitamins and just carry on with BBT and OPKS and just hope for the best .and if it’s meant to be it will happen if not I will find peace in whatever god and the angels have for me .

as for age to me it’s just a number don’t be bothered what anyone has to say it’s your life I certainly don’t feel 51 and most people say I don’t look my age which makes me feel better .

keep the faith and 44/45 isn’t to old go for it girly I wish you all the best oh and don’t be a stranger would love to know how your journey goes x
