Thank you all. This is our last go - DH wasn’t 100% about having a dc and I think if this ends we will stop there. But hopefully things will progress this time. It does feel different this time.

mine was honestly completely crap!! Been really ill (over ovulation so pretty much messed this cycle up 🤷🏼‍♀️) OH has been a nightmare, staying up all night and in bed all day. I spent Christmas morning on my own just waiting for him 😕 then we had a mega bust up last night when I told him to leave and realised I actually meant it. A lot of horrible things got said and it’s really starting to feel like we’ve gone past the point of no return. I don’t know if we can get back from where we’ve ended up 😞

@Kelb79 I'm sorry, that really sucks. Both being poorly and having a major fall out with your oh. Hope you're able to talk yourselves through it - maybe worth investigating some counselling if you can persuade him? Sometimes this time of year can bring things to a head. A friend of mine who's a psychologist told me that I probably have ptsd from all of the failed fertility treatments, etc we have been through over the course of the last 18 months, and he may have a point - i think it's easy to underestimate the impact of what has been a really difficult year for you. Sending you lots of hugs and I hope you can resolve things, whichever way you think is right for you. Take care xx

@Kelb79 How are you? Sorry to hear about bust up with OH. The stress and grief of TTC is massive and takes a huge toll.

I’m staring down the barrel of starting the first IVF cycle. I had the meds delivered a few days ago and a call with the nurse to talk it all through this afternoon. I felt alright about it earlier, now I’m feeling flat again and thinking it’s all a waste of time and the odds are crap etc😖I’ll snap out of it again, it’s just all so daunting.

I think I’ve just got over my hangover… took advantage of not being on an IVF cycle or actively TTC - we’re very half hearted with it right now knowing how little chance there is. And I almost don’t want to conceive naturally - the fear of MC knowing my egg quality would be huge!!!
OH and I have 6 weeks off work now 🎉 so it’s giving us a bit of time to catch up with things that have been getting on top of us. With less pressure and TTC/IVF being on a back burner on we’re definitely getting along a bit better. He’s still incredibly tense but hopefully a bit of time will help that.
im 10DPO today…. Whether that counts for anything who knows but I guess it’s a hard to break habit to cycle monitor 🤷🏼‍♀️

@YellowLoafers wishing you sooo much luck ❤️ download the app “mindful IVF”. It was a godsend for me. Free initial pre treatment meditations and then a free batch for during stims and transfer. Then you can buy add on batches for around £5 specific to the phase you’re in. Well worth it 👌🏼 if you’ve got any questions or anything you’re not sure about we’re all here for you (and between us can probably answer anything 🤣🤣)

@99pctpractice how are you lovely?? I think you’re 100% correct about PTSD potential! I find myself majorly overreacting I’m some situations to the point I almost don’t know who I am 😵‍💫 this bit of time off from everything is definitely a good thing for me I think ❤️

Happy new year everyone! Hope this year brings you all your BFPs . I know how hard this time of year is particularly on this journey and it's pretty brutal.
@Kelb79 I'm sure some time off together will make a big difference for you and oh. It is so stressful and easy to get lost in it all. Try and take some time for just you both as a couple.

I am now 20 weeks. So only 12 weeks left! It's flying by. We just found out we have twin boys and a girl. Just hoping all of them stay healthy and without complications.
Not trying to be insensitive and hope this post isn't triggering to anyone. more to share support, say I know how you feel, and show that if it's not happening with your own eggs there are other options that can bring so much joy. Thinking of you all and hoping you all get happy outcomes xxx

@October1979 wow - so exciting! I hope your pregnancy continues to progress well. 12 weeks really isn’t long.

I am feeling ok. The days are just dragging a bit. I just want to get to a time when im comfortably in the second trimester. I’m not overly excited yet, just hope I had an egg left that wasn’t a duff one! Still unsure about whether to get a private scan as my experience with the last one has traumatised me a bit.

@Mattieandmummy triplets get delivered at 32 weeks. So early- Otherwise you get too big and you might go into labour yourself (which they don't want).
@Iusedtobedontcall I can understand you being nervous. You should do whatever makes you feel better xx

@Kelb79 Downloaded mindful IVF thanks and finding it so useful. I really hope your break from work helps you. It’s frazzling over Christmas and you’ve had all this TTC on top. Completely echo @99pctpractice on the ptsd issue, this journey is really traumatic.

Flabbergasted that your oh said he may not want children, do you think it may be a self preservation thing? So if he says he doesn't want them it's not so bad that you are having issues? Really pleased that he changed his mind though! 🤞🏻 he doesn't change again! I think ttc and Christmas is such a stressful

Sorry for my absence, I got super busy with work, my steps done 16th, my sons 18th the Christmas, my mum being in hospital with pneumonia, my sister having a baby and I'm now on cd83 🙄 my emotions are all over the place, I keep thinking it must be the menopause, though I've no other symptoms, had my blood test taken to check for low iron again and it's 125 which is the minimum but not below so not sure if that could effect it, got a five appt on 23rd to talk to them. Still no results from my scan in November, I've take 4 hcg tests total all bfn broke down in tears to oh yesterday, he thinks it stress with everything going on trying to find somewhere to move etc but I just don't know. Im going from panicking that it's menopause one minute to think well if it is then the options are taken out if my hands and I just go with de the next, which im perfectly happy with and kind of looking forward to!
I think my current plan is to speak to the doc, carry on with my healthy food and exercise, up my suppliment game again and book an online consultation with a few clinics abroad and see what they say.

@Marvellouslymadmum im so glad to see you back I was getting worried where you had gone … I’m sorry af hasn’t turned up for you and the neg hpts it’s always heartbreaking to see one line I have spent that much money on hpt cause as you know my af didn’t turn up on the 3rd dec I am on cd 70 and later this afternoon I went to the loo and started with brown discharge which is now a little pink which I’m so happy about although my backs killing tonight .

I was worried about menopause and was going to make a doctors appointment in feb if I didn’t have af in Jan to get some old lady hormone bloods done to check my levels and all that I have been so emotional I just Carnt explain how I’m feeling but I’m hoping dec was a one off and I’m back on track with af if that’s what’s happening I hope you get sorted soon and af dose come for you and yes stress is a big factor I think that’s why I didn’t ovulate or have af in dec I was stressing quite a lot in dec so that could be the reason for your missing af x

@TraceyTarotReader it's weird how we've been having similar type issues! The weird thing for me is that I think I did ovulate! All be in a little late on cd23 but it was a really good and strong opk too but who knows! Maybe I didn't ovulate, I don't know! I started back on the opk again today as I kind of gave up a week after the strong positive as it was going back down again and I'll start bbt again tomorrow if I remember (forgot this morning) but I'm hoping to get the doc to repeat my bloods to make sure it's not menopause which I'll be puzzled if it is and just bam no af for 3 months because I'm 43 which in the menopause game is relatively young and my levels were all good last time checked 🤷🏼‍♀️ but if it is then at least I can draw a line under that and go down the de route anyway which I'm totally happy with doing, I just thought I may be able to try a tandem or iui first. I've literally only done 4 tests in 3 months because I hate that line so much!

Hopefully this is the sign that yours are going back to normal now 🤞🏻 x

I have booked a private scan for Thursday 26th when I’ll be 8 weeks 4 days. I’ve booked it at a fertility clinic this time when it’s a proper clinical setting. I’ve told them my history, so hopefully they’ll look after me. My symptoms aren’t as strong this time but I’ve had no spotting at all which I’m hoping is a good sign.

@Marvellouslymadmum OH seems to have levelled out a bit. Definitely a bit of self preservation in there. He’s totally behind the DE process and moving forward with it now so all good (for the moment!!) but he’s emotionally sensitive so quite liable to have many more ups and downs along the way 😐😐

soooo…. We’re doing crazy last minute spontaneity 🤣🤣 we’re going interrailing…. Tomorrow!!!!!! 😳😳😳 We pretty much decided 2 days ago and booked our first ticket last night!! Only 2 weeks but trying to do Paris, Vienna, north Italy, Switzerland and amsterdam (so I’m officially calling it Winterrailing!! 🤣🤣) - it’s going to be an adventure if nothing else!! It’s the first time we’ve both been actually excited about anything in the longest time!!! 😁😁😁
then, when we get back, it’s “mission DE” time 🫣 so I’m planning to eat, drink, have fun and make the very most of this 2 weeks!!! 😁😁😁😁

@Kelb79 I'm honestly trying to just ignore it and not let it drive me insane but every now and then it just gets too much and I end up in tears!!
Glad your oh has settled a bit now and is firmly and hopefully staying on the de path!! Your getaway sounds amazing, myself and my oh have never actually been away together, unless you found 5 days in a caravan in woolecombe with all four teens and my family in two other caravans?! We have started planning our wedding for summer 2024 and I start an exercise and nutrition program on 17th jan so I'm hoping to stick with that and start up the decent supplements again, he wants to get back to the gym and cut out the smoking completely 🤞🏻 it can be done and the stress starts to go once we are sorted and moved!

@Marvellouslymadmum it is weird we have similar things going on I Carnt tell you how happy I feel inside that I started spotting yesterday it’s still light spotting but I’m hoping it turns into a normal af … when I went for my flu jab on Tuesday I asked the nurse about my missing af in dec I said I’m still waiting for af now was mint spotting at that time … she said to me if you don’t have a period for 3 months then make an appointment with the doctor and get some hormone tests done to see what’s going on so I think you should maybe get some bloods done to to what’s going on .. like you know you ovulated you just know don’t you I know I ovulated on dec I had all the signs but my temps say otherwise .

it’s weird cause they say you can have menopause symptoms from the age of 45 some earlier like you don’t feel it’s that I definitely don’t feel menopausal or we could be one of those people with limited symptoms which would be great cause I’m actually dreading the real thing I can now expect it from me been 51 yrs old but I’m hoping I’ve got a couple more years of fertility before I hit it properly.

I was also asking the nurse the last time I had a blood test for menopause I thought it was July last year but it was the end of the year 2021 I’ll post my results my oestrogen was a little high but it’s looks okay for a woman my age that was a year and a bit ago they may have changed now . But the nurse or doctor don’t know I’m ttc so that oestrogen number might be a factor .

I hope you get sorted one way or the other it’s so frustrating.

@TraceyTarotReader yes that's what I'll ask for on 23rd, I'll check when my last tests were done, I think it was when I was referred to fertility which somehow, though it doesn't seem it was two years ago!! Yep just checked it was beginning of 2021! So hopefully they'll repeat them now x
