@October1979 how are you feeling lovely? Has the news actually settled in yet?? 🫣🫣

@99pctpractice your thoughts are perfectly natural ❤️❤️ Anyone would be thinking the same. Let yourself work through them, it’s part of the process, but you’ll definitely get through them all ❤️❤️❤️ So is transfer a week today??? Soooo exciting!!!! 😍😍

@YellowLoafers you sound like you guys exactly the same prognosis as me 👌🏼 the cost is killer and the journey is far from
easy but it’s definitely worth a go! It all feels so much better once you get rolling with it. What clinic are you looking at?

so I’m getting a phone call at lunchtime on Monday with the results from the PGT-A tests. I feel constantly sick and soooo tense waiting for this! It’s so horrible knowing that we’re either in and going for transfer next month of completely out and it’s all been for nothing 😵‍💫 god knows what we’d do in that situation 😕

99pctpractice · 22/10/2022 13:38

Hello!

@YellowLoafers someone on another thread did duostim and got more embryos from the process that way. Basically it allows you to do a back to back cycle during your luteal phase, so 2 egg retrievals within about 2 weeks of each other. So very intense but recommended when we're older because waiting 2 months between retrievals brings more delays.

@Kelb79 all fingers crossed!! Now long now for you to wait at least!

@October1979 will they scan/monitor you more frequently because there are 3 cooking? Or only when you get a bit further along?

YellowLoafers · 23/10/2022 21:00

@October1979 Thank you! I’ll happily grab all the positive vibes coming my way! How are you feeling?

@Kelb79 The clinic is really local. I’m lucky in that there’s a CARE Fertility branch about 15 minutes away from where I live. I’ve got three friends who’ve used this clinic and have all become Mums, so I feel I’ll be in good hands whatever the outcome. Wishing you so much luck for the test results tomorrow ❤️

@99pctpractice Thank you, I’ll have a look for the thread you mentioned. The clinic said they’ll include the duostim info amongst all the other stuff they will send, so I have a lot of research to do. The possibility of more eggs to try with is very appealing.

TraceyTarotReader · 24/10/2022 06:23

8 dpo guys and I want to test so bad but I know it will be negative at this point so I’m keeping busy trying to take my mind off it .

Luckystar7jf · 24/10/2022 07:50

Hi ladies I am a newbie hope you don’t mind me joining you. I am 42 & trying ttc my third. This will be my third cycle. Have experienced 2 mc, 1 cp and a medical termination since my 6 year old. Last two cycles I didn’t track ov but have this month. I am not very hopeful but trying to stay positive x

Aprilsunnyday · 24/10/2022 09:50

Hi ladies
I have been in and out on Mumsnet for the past few months, I did follow this thread for a bit and and would like to make a come back to this thread if OK! :)
I am 4p years old trying for our first and its not easy as the fertility doctor I have spoken to thinks I am in perimenopause after a few rounds of irregular cycle identifying, together with blood test results. Its not easy to navigate this period of time, at all! 😑But so if life in general if you would agree, do bring it on😎!
I am very excited for you @October1979, I hope you are doing really well these days after the scan!

@Kelb79, I keep fingers crossed for you on your call today!! All the best of luck on the Pgt-a testing ! x

Aprilsunnyday · 24/10/2022 09:51

*40 years old, typo on phone 😂

YellowLoafers · 24/10/2022 12:53

@TraceyTarotReader keeping everything crossed for you and sending you a hug. The TWW is so difficult ❤️

Hi @Aprilsunnyday and @Luckystar7jf 👋 wishing you both loads of luck and positivity x

Luckystar7jf · 24/10/2022 13:30

@YellowLoafers thank you xx

TraceyTarotReader · 24/10/2022 13:31

@YellowLoafers thank you it’s so hard to resist testing but I’d rather wait for af than seeing negative tests x

Kelb79 · 24/10/2022 13:53

We got none 😞 none of the embryos are euploid, all trisomy. Utterly heartbroken 💔

YellowLoafers · 24/10/2022 15:02

Oh no @Kelb79 I’m so sorry to hear this, heartbroken for you. Sending you loads of love x

October1979 · 24/10/2022 15:29

Marvellouslymadmum · 28/10/2022 00:47

@October1979 omg triplets?!! That's incredible I'm so so happy for you!

@YellowLoafers neither of my ovaries have been seen for many years 😂 the last three scans I've had they haven't been able to see them at all, they've put it down to excess bowel gas, I think it's more likely they're stuck up out the way with endometriosis 😐 that's a great Amh though mine is 1.2!!

@Littlemiss41andfabulous wow has it really been 8 months since you had your little one! It's crazy how time flies on here

Welcome to the new people!

@Kelb79 im so sorry it didn't work for you

I'm really sorry I'm not getting on here much I'm struggling with this big time now, I'll be 44 in March and it's been years ttc and now I've finished the clomid which did absolutely nothing, spoke to the fertility doc and she's just completely dismissed me and says my amh is too low, I'll never get pregnant naturally or with ivf unless I have a donor egg. She has however agreed to see me in gynaecology for another scan to look at the possibility of endometriosis but I've a strong feeling she will just dismiss me from there too, she makes it quite obvious she doesn't think older people can get pregnant at all! I feel like this is really not going to happen for me without the ivf now and my oh just keeps saying don't worry it'll happen but I can't keep waiting anymore! I want to start looking at clinics abroad ready for after Christmas both for my own eggs and donor eggs depending on what they recommend so please tell me your experiences with clinics ladies as I'm just going to book consultations and tell him it's done!!

TraceyTarotReader · 28/10/2022 05:58

@Marvellouslymadmum im sorry your feeling like this TTC is a tiring journey is there not anything you can take for your AMH I’ve no clue about these things . And your husband sounds so sweet mine is like that he always says it will happen I’m like when I’m 51 now been waiting 18 yrs for a successful pregnancy but I know deep down it’s not meant for us . Cause it would’ve happens years ago .that fertility doctor dosnt sound very nice I’d find another I hate it when you get treated a certain way and have the feeling they don’t want to help you . We were like that we had 2 fertility specialists the second one just shook my husbands had told us there’s no reason for a successful pregnancy and to go and keep trying I was 40 at that time I did get pregnant one more time after seeing him but sadly ended up MMC AT 11 wks baby was all
good at 7 wks .

I hate that us women have to go through such trauma cause that is how it feels to me it’s torture for some women to get what they want but I’m praying you will feel a little uplifted and try and get a plan in order so you get your THB sending love and prayers your way x

October1979 · 28/10/2022 06:34

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you. 9 weeks yesterday. I have a hospital appointment on 3rd which will tell me if they are all progressing. I still don't feel out of the woods yet.

I went to Gynem in prague. I had my consultation in April. Went over in May and had my first transfer in July. My second transfer in September which was successful. I went straight to donor eggs. I couldn't deal with the odds, disappointment and waiting between each cycle if it didn't work with my own eggs. I'd had enough at that point and had it it my head if I was growing them it would be my baby. I can honestly say it doesn't bother me that they are not my eggs. Although before I went for it I was fixated on my own eggs. My clinic was good but what I would say is Gynem is a small clinic. If I was doing it again I would maybe go for a bigger clinic with bigger donor egg bank. I was lucky and got my donor within a couple of weeks. But have heard of others having to wait longer to get matched. I Would also chose a country that will have lots of donors with your physical characteristics . Keep in mind that for each cycle that doesn't work you need to wait roughly 6/8 weeks until your next shot. As you need to let the drugs come out your system and your cycle to return. Good luck xxx
