@Kelb79 that sounds frustrating. Really hoping you get some good news tomorrow.

@99pctpractice thank you - I’ll keep an eye on it. Started bleeding a bit again today when I thought it had stopped which is annoying. I seem to be holding on to a bit of extra weight following the miscarriage too.

Our “one” made it to day 6 blastocyst!!! I can’t even believe it! They’ve biopsied it and tucked it up in the freezer to edit for the PGT-A results 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Literally praying!!!
Its only a 5BC but I’ll take that, it’s all I’ve got and it’s still possible ❤️❤️

I know the grading means nothing if you’re PGT-A testing too so just gotta stay hopeful 😁
now to somehow get through the next 20ish days!!!

Great news @Kelb79 !! So hoping that you get the result you want!! You made it through the process - hope you're able to relax a bit now (even if you're not on holiday in Spain anymore 🤣).

Hi all, hoping its OK to join this thread, TTC no 2 after MC, periods still been Quite regular, and not actually due for another 2 days but broke and tested. Have a bfp but have used (several) different tests and line seems different on them? Digital says pg, tests did this morning darker than others have just done? Is it because am still early testing?

Iusedtobedontcall · 21/08/2022 10:42

Confused today. I tested negative after the miscarriage and now today, three weeks post miscarriage- I have a positive line again. I can’t get excited or anything though yet. It’s a waiting game.

Just realised it’s 4 weeks actually. I’m thinking it could be a new pregnancy?

@Iusedtobedontcall fingers crossed for your rainbow baby 🌈 some people are more fertile just after a miscarriage so seems like you might be one of them :o)

@Kelb79 hope you're surviving the wait for your embryo testing results!!

@October1979 how are you getting on? Are you going to start your new cycle soon?

I'm hopefully having a day 3 transfer tomorrow...not optimistic about the current state of my embryos (we had the high of all 6 eggs fertilising yesterday and then the low of finding out that they are all showing signs of fragmentation today) so I'd rather have a couple put back tomorrow than have the uber depressing outcome of no viable embryos by day 5 for a second time 😭 this is definitely the end of the road for own egg ivf for us....

This was my test. It’s quite faint so I’ll keep an eye on the line and see if it progresses.

Hope your period shows up soon @October1979 and you can start the new cycle.

Good luck to everyone this month.

I am still none the wiser about my positive post miscarriage test but the line was a bit stronger this morning so I’ll wait and see.

@99pctpractice praying everything goes well for you this time 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Fragmentation is absolutely normal so try not to overthink it ❤️ Let us know what happens xxxxx

@Iusedtobedontcall can you get a blood test at the GPS?? You must be losing your mind not being sure!! Don’t sweat it about your weight right now - let your body relax ❤️ I never did completely lose the weight I gained after my MC last tear and it’s just been getting worse with the IVF 😵‍💫 meh!! But I know my body has a job to do right now so I’m trying not to let it get to me 🫣🫣

@October1979 what’s your next step when your cycle starts?

so….. we’ve decided to do another round of stims to try to bank more embryos for testing 😵‍💫 having a month break (doing an endometrial biopsy to “test the nest” this month to save time after) then start stims in September again. Was hoping to be transferring by then, gating all these set backs!! But it is what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi all, I'm a lurker on this board but more active on the Scottish IVF one. I'm almost 44 (how?!) and currently on stims. Not great odds and feeling despondent at times but you never know..@Kelb79 I think you're the same age, can I ask what clinic you're using? One in Spain I think? Hope the wait for your pgta results is worth it x

Good luck @Iusedtobedontcall hoping this one sticks for you. @Kelb79 sounds like your clinic are covering all basis. Once my cycle starts I'll start taking oestrogen tablets everyday and a patch every 3 days, also a low dose steroid. Day 10 scan for lining thickness , start progesterone pessaries 5 days before transfer then hopefully transfer day 18. Hoping it comes either tomorrow or waits another week as have lots of work commitments. Good luck everyone xxx

@October1979 I hope all goes well and you don’t have to wait too long. It must be hard trying to balance everything with work commitments too.

@Kelb79 good luck with the next stage of your journey - hope all goes well for you.

I am feeling frustrated but I don’t want to book a blood test yet as I don’t want confirmation that it’s just left over hormones! I am driving myself mad! I have heard some people do get pregnant soon after a miscarriage but who knows.

@LouScot welcome lovely 🙏🏼 I feel you completely! I was 43 last week and I’m starting to feel like my time is up and I’m flogging a dead horse with all of it but I’m battling on for the moment! OH is always telling me to ignore the stats… he’s convinced that because I’m healthy and have been doing all the right things (supplements, acupuncture, healthy eating…) for a looong time that I’ll be in the above average group. He doesn’t understand that ageing has its own agenda 😐 yes, my clinic is in Alicante. It’s a great clinic but things haven’t gone great so far! I genuinely don’t think my retrievals so far reached their proper potential so we’re giving it this one last try!!
how are stims going for you? Where are you up to??

@October1979 i really hope things get moving for you again soon. Sounds like a good transfer plan so keeping everything tightly crossed for you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

@99pctpractice whats happening lovely? Are you ok?? ❤️❤️

Hi @Kelb79 we had 3 embryos transferred yesterday (day 3!). My oh is already planning for triplets 🤣 - sounds like he falls in the same camp as your oh of not understanding that age is against us.....the transfer went well so at least no blips there! Such a weird set up - basically a small consultation room with a window to the lab at the end of it. There I am, in stirrups, bits to the breezes and then the consultant opened the window to the lab to get the embryos. There must have been at least 2 embryologists who really got an eyeful...I know they're used to it, but still! There is not a lot of dignity in the ivf process...

Will your clinic change things around for this round of stims?

Hello again @LouScot where are you at with stims? We have to be hopeful otherwise we wouldn't be here :o) fingers crossed our bodies do what we want them to do.

@October1979 good luck! It is so hard to schedule all this fertility stuff in around work when you can't predict when your body is going to be ready to go. I thought my transfer would be over in about 10 mins yesterday (it was at my last clinic), but I ended up being there for about 2 hrs, having just abandoned work without telling anyone where I was going...!

@Iusedtobedontcall looking very positive for you!! I know it's hard not to stress about it but hope you can find some good distractions and all fingers crossed the dye keeps darkening.

Hope all goes smoothly with the next cycle @October1979.

I am still testing positive. Lines aren’t progressing much but I’m getting 1-2 on digitals and it’s been over 4 weeks since the miscarriage. I’ve left a message with the EPU as this is doing my head in!

Hi @October1979 ! Very exciting that you have a date for transfer. The main thing I did was take DHEA for 3 months which in theory can help egg quality, so not really relevant for a transfer. My acupuncturist suggested lots of pomegranate juice to help the lining as well! Her other tip was goji berries....I also had a hysteroscopy at the start of stims which apparently can have a similar effect to an endometrial scratch (ie can help implantation). I won't know for a week whether it's helped or not....Hopefully your transfer this time is going to give you your baby! Wishing you so much luck 🍀

Just did another test and the line is getting fainter. Looks like I’m not.
