So my spotting picked up last night so I’m going to call it cd 2 today although I still feel these weird symptoms going on my boobs are still killing me like when af is near they lessen off these are not I will test again when my bleeding lessens off it’s not heavy yet but it feels like a normal af .. my daughter didn’t know she was pregnant until her periods stopped at 4 months she went for a private scan and was told she was 16 wks with a baby boy she was shocked cause she was having a normal period up till then he’s nearly 2 yrs old now . So any thing is possible oh and I saw a double rainbow 2 nights ago .

Sorry to hear that @traceyann44 does sound like af has caught up with you. I know well how disappointing that can be.

@pcmod thank you lovely I think it’s af definitely the flow is coming on now but I did do a test and got another line but more of a shadow but I suppose if I was indeed pregnant it would show by now but that’s how it goes hope your okay today

@pcmod i start stims on the 3rd (if all is well at baseline scan on 1st) and go to Spain on the 11th!! Eek!!! Lots of hoops to jump through along the way though!!🫣🫣 DHEA has defo messed with me a bit but it’s supposed to be pretty epic! I highly recommend fertility acupuncture if you can afford it (and find a good therapist!) - it’s defo helped me and it’s supposed to really help with IVF too. The IVF has happened so quickly - I started acupuncture, CoQ10 and Selenium back in February - I’m so glad I did, it’s all had a chance to get into my system and hopefully help!!

@Kelb79 all going well. I've only been on Estrofem 3x per day since day 1. My skin is greasy and a mess but apart from that I feel normal. It's day 11 tomorrow and I go for endometrial lining scan and send results to clinic. On Friday the eggs are fertilised and I start progesterone too. We fly to prague Monday. Then Wednesday transfer day if I have embryos xx

@Kelb79 I absolutely was that's who I haven't been on here for a bit. It definitely feels like gambling putting all this money into something that could potentially yield no results but if it does it's going to be so worth it! I'd be the same with your friend, every pregnancy announcement I'm so jealous but still happy for them, even pregnant strangers I walk down the street thinking why can't it be me! Oh my I'm so glad your medication was ok after freezergate!! Sorry you got a bfn but hopefully your ivf will work and a relaxing week in Spain sounds wonderful

@WonderWoop did you talk to the doc about your results?
I am 43 and was referred a year ago by nhs, I'm too old for ivf in my area but am currently in clomid tablets

@Room4onemore I would like to loose 3D tone too so I'm happy to see your progress and would love to know how you do it? I'm struggling massively here

@October1979 I'm honestly so excited for you! Being the same sort of age and looking at going down the same route. I just hope this works for you! I'm starting to panic now that as i literally haven't been able to get pregnant in 4 years maybe ivf wouldn't work for me either 🤷🏼‍♀️😔

@traceyann44 your Lp should be roughly the same every month so if you ovulate late and your Lp is normally 14 days it should mean af arrives 14 days after ovulation. If you ovulated 5 days late it would indicate af being 5 days later too, sorry af arrived for you. I hate how confusing it can all be!

@Musomama1 oh congratulations! This is something I've been thinking of trying as I feel we may have a sperm meets egg issue! Not heard of mixing with pressed though 🤔

Af finally arrived for me after a 109 day cycle on the 1st round of 100mg clomid 🙄 I'm now 10dpo so hoping to ovulate in the next week and not have another stupid long cycle

@Marvellouslymadmum I thought a lot is usually 14/17 days which mine is this all confuses me I’m not that good at these sort of things I’m still learning lol … but af arrived and I’m on cd 6 and got a positive opk this afternoon I have never ever ovulated or about to this early my body confuses me all the time I don’t normally ovulate till around cd12/17 I don’t even know why I tested with an opk this early but something told me to must be my psychic abilities kicking in lol I am temping so we will know soon enough I mean I have stopped bleeding now I just have the pinky stuff lingering around so may be it’s a sign and I will some sec in tonight and hope for the best . Here’s my opk .

@October1979 i can't believe it's all happening so soon!!! Hope fertilisation went well yesterday and you're feeling excited about the transfer (and the progesterone isn't too gross - I found the suppositories something else....). Hoping for much luck for the development of those little embryos 🤞

@Kelb79 not long now til you start stims!! I was wondering why I was getting a bit spotty, but perhaps it is the DHEA!! Do you have to stop taking it before stims? It is like an extra job trying to fit ivf around normal life - hope you're able to sort out the staffing so you can relax while you're in Spain!!

@Marvellouslymadmum 109 days - that is insane! Glad af finally arrived though. What's the plan for the next cycle? Do they increase the clomid? Totally get the feeling of rolling the dice on ivf. I keep thinking if it hasn't worked yet then why would I expect it to work on the next cycle but then if we don't try, will I always wonder if it would have worked?

@traceyann44 sorry, I don't use opks, does that mean you're ovulating now? Cd6 does seem early!!!

I'm mid-cycle at the moment, so probably around ovulation time. Carpet bombing just in case of a miracle, but not that optimistic!! Hoping for a shorter cycle than last time so I can get cracking with a monitoring cycle pre-next ivf cycle...

@99pctpractice well I’m assuming I am in the next day or so and yea it’s very early something that’s never happens to me before … I have done another opk and it’s not as positive so I don’t know what’s going on with my body but we dtd last night and will do it tomorrow night and carry on with the opks in case the earlier one was a fluke .

it’s weird to cause my boobs are still tender from having my period it seems they never went away but I have been doing weights well dumb bell work outs and working out so I’m thinking it’s from that but also feels like they do when I’m ovulating I 🤷‍♀️Our bodies are weird things .hope you get your miracle soon x

@99pctpractice its soooo much to think about! I’ve actually bought a pill organiser to keep on top of everything 🤣🤣 I feel like an 80 year old. Think I’m taking the DHEA right up to retrieval. It’s not too bad but defo oily skin and bloating! Feeling quite tired too 😵‍💫

one week away from starting stims 🫣🫣 massive eek!! This time in 3 weeks I’ll know the results of the retrieval!! That’s INSANE!!!!!

Thank you, it was the pre seed lubricant for fertility that is in the blue box, off Amazon and other places, just squeezed a bit in the pot.

Thank you @Marvellouslymadmum @99pctpractice. We hit a snag. My lining wasn't as thick as they would like so they have pushed everything back a couple of days and upped the medication. So fertilisation not till Monday now and transfer Saturday. Worried it's all going wrong and this is a sign. I'm feeling really nervous that it won't work. It's quite overwhelming. Even though 50% is good odds and the best I've ever had im worried and fixated on the 50% chance it won't work. Also that the eggs don't fertilise. It's a really odd headspace im in x

@traceyann44 I think the average Lp is 14-17 days but however long yours is will always be the same and should only vary by 1 day so if it's normal 14 days it could be 13 or 15. But obviously that's dependent on you working out the exact day you ovulate which is not easy as you can ovulate up to 48 hours after your Lh rise and though your bbt indicates when it was it's not exact. That does look like a positive opk but I get at least three rises in Lh each month and can only confirm ovulation by the temp rise so we are forever dtd just incase 😂

@99pctpractice this is my second cycle of 100mg as it was increased last time so I've just got to hope not to have another stupid cycle! I've got one more lot after this one then they'll probably tell me I'm on my own. That's exactly the problem isn't it, I can't not try just incase!

@Kelb79 I'm going to finish the next cycle of clomid and try to get the consultant to put me forward for a laparoscopy because of the endo then onto ivf and then donor egg ivf if that doesn't work.

@October1979 at least they're doing their best to give you the best chance you can have, 50% is amazing odds in the ivf game so hopefully it'll all work for you 🤞🏻

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah it’s all to confusing to me I just Carnt get to grips why I’ve ovulated so early I wouldn’t have know if something told me to test I’d have proberly missed it and started testing on cd 10 onwards which I still intend to do my lp is 14/17 days long. My temp went up this morning and I have cramps on both sides by my ovaries so maybe I am ovulating early we will know soon enough .

@October1979 argh - the highs and the lows. Hopefully fertilisation went well today and your lining is looking thicker? Totally get your difficulty in being optimistic. It is a gamble, and it's not a bad thing to accept that it might not work as well as being hopeful that it will....it is so hard that there isn't more certainty in the process, especially given how much everything costs. Hoping very hard that this round is the lucky one for you!!!! Hope it wasn't too logistically stressful to change everything around or did you fly out to Prague anyway?

I have had 5 days of flashing smileys - is that normal? I thought it was meant to be 2 days and then static. First time I've used this type of ovulation test and my hubby is now poorly (maybe the result of the 5 days straight?!?) so no action for me tonight. Not that it would likely result in anything but still got to try!!! 🤣

Thanks @99pctpractice. Lining thicker and doctor gave me a scan today and is happy. Out of our 11 embryos, 9 fertilised and doing well day 2 so all looking promising. Just need my body to do its part on Saturday. Sitting on the water having a homemade lemonade in the sun in Prague as we speak. Not a bad way to spend a nerve wracking week xxx

@Marvellouslymadmum if it's Clearblue advanced connected then that can be normal. I had 6 days the first time I used the holder. Keep using the same holder every month and it will get to know your cycle and predict less flashing smilies. I ranged between none and straight to peak to 6 and everything in between. But I do think they are good and pinpointed ovulation spot on. Good luck xxx
