@FourOclock hoping this works?

Hi 👋 just testing

LemonZestDribbles · 20/04/2022 13:52

Working now woo!

BlueberryMacaron · 20/04/2022 13:55

Yay working for me now too! I can’t believe how close my June coming off contraception date is coming. It felt a world a world away when we agreed that date in December.

WingingIt09 · 20/04/2022 13:57

Yay glad it's working! @BlueberryMacaron yes it's coming round so quickly. May felt forever away when I started the first thread... now it's next cycle!

Hi all, I have not been part of one of these threads before and don't know the lingo well.

@BlueberryMacaron when you say 'coming off' what contraception are you on?

I currently take the combined pill and have for 11 years with no breaks. We want to begin trying towards the end of the year but not sure when is best to come off and begin tracking my cycle.

Wouldn't be the worst if I got pregnant earlier, but November is the first date I can to qualify to enhanced maternity!

I’m on the combined pill, which I’ve been on for years. I‘ve decided that I’m not going to come off my pill and use condoms while my cycles stabilise, we’ll just start trying and see what happens. I really don’t want to be pregnant before June, but I feel like I want to move quickly after that. I’ve also said (though I don’t want to held to it 😂) that for the first few months we’ll just see what happens without tracking while my cycle settles. I won’t have a date for my last period if I do conceive quickly, but from speaking to friends they only pay attention to the dating scan anyway, not the dates you give them.

WingingIt09 · 20/04/2022 14:19

@appleandonion welcome! I was on the progesterone only pill and came off it in January to allow my cycles to regulate before starting to TTC in May. It took 2.5 months to get a period so I'm glad I did. We have used condoms as birth control since I came off the pill.

HippeePrincess · 20/04/2022 14:32

I'm taking my contraceptive ring out in 9 days but we wont be ttc until at least June, I am expecting not to get my cycle back immediately but we'll probably use condoms til we have a few more things sorted.

Cherrymarket · 20/04/2022 14:35

Hi all. Hope you don’t mind me jumping on your thread!
We are going to start trying for number 2 from June - well I think initially we will start by not preventing and just enjoying it. My toddler is reliably sleeping at night now so we get a bit of us time back which is great!

DH surprised me a couple of weeks ago and said he wanted to have another next year so off we go on this rollercoaster again 😬

anibendod · 20/04/2022 18:37

4DPO and not so much as a sniff of a symptom to spot. Distracted myself by spending a small fortune on plants at the garden centre. I'm hoping that having a project on the go will take my mind off of the 2WW

Organictangerine · 20/04/2022 18:38

Can I join please? Ttc number 2, CD28, period due any day now & will start ttc when it is over 🙂

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 20/04/2022 18:41

Hi all, just coming on to say that we decided not to to go ahead with the reversal, going to give it another year to work through some mental health issues etc. good luck to all!

Hjudge56 · 20/04/2022 18:50

Hey guys would love to join!

i’m 9DPO and have had all symptoms! Fatigue, cramping, bloating etc. plus I believe I had implantation bleeding at 7DPO.

however BFN so far!!!!
going to test again in the morning!

LemonZestDribbles · 20/04/2022 19:00

@anibendod plant project sounds fun!

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful hope everything goes well for you

@Cherrymarket welcomec to the ttc rollercoaster 🤣

I stopped my pill at the start of the period before this one. Seems to be pretty consistent so far so will see.

WingingIt09 · 20/04/2022 19:43

Welcome @Cherrymarket @Hjudge56 @Organictangerine. Good luck to you all on the TTC rollercoaster

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful lovely to hear from you, hope everything goes well for you

@anibendod 4dpo is very early. Hopefully a plant project will keep you busy for the TWW

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful wishing you all the best sometimes other things just take priority and mental health is definitely one of them! X

LucyLoopyLu · 20/04/2022 19:50

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful
Hope you're doing OK, and everything works out for you and your OH

HippeePrincess · 20/04/2022 19:55

Nypie · 20/04/2022 20:09

Ahhh I thought I lost you all 😭

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful so glad you're looking after the mental health it's so important. Hope to hear from you soon!

Dreamingof3 · 20/04/2022 20:37

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful I hope you're ok! Definitely makes sense to put health (mental or otherwise) First. Wishing you all the best ❤️

Welcome to our newbies 🥰
I came off the pill at the start of the year and have been tracking my cycles since, hoping to try next cycle 🤞

Nypie · 20/04/2022 20:47

@appleandonion 👋👋👋 I came off the pill which I've been on for 10 plus years last september and we plan to Ttc this September. Im so happy I did, I've bern using natural cycles as a contraception have learnt so much about my cycles and I still feel lile my cycles havent completley gone back to "normal" they are regular but there very light this cycles has been medium so far 🤞🤞🤞. They say it takes about 3 months for your cycles to regulate after the pill personally think they lie 😂😂 but some conceive straight away!

lj2022 · 20/04/2022 20:52

@Nypie I agree it takes longer than 3 months. I came off in December and although they've regulated
To around 26-28 day cycles I know I'm not fully regulated hormone wise. I'm taking Angus castus to help regulate my hormones and hopefully get a BFP sooner. I wish I came off contraception before trying like you have done to give my body a better chance as it's now getting to the stage of disappointment after 5 cycles of BFP so far

Brightonbelle87 · 20/04/2022 22:43

Great to see the new thread and welcome newbies! So many of us on the journey at all different stages, good luck to everyone trying and testing!

Little update... I've been very impatient and tested again this afternoon even though AF isn't due until Monday and... there's a very faint positive line!! So happy but very cautious. I'll fully believe it next week when AF doesn't start, and don't want to get carried away when I had a miscarriage last time at 6 weeks. Fingers crossed!
