@dearhummingbirds I definitely found it weird when we stopped preventing for both #1 and #2. Almost butterfly like nerves about having potentially made a baby. It was strange. I'm sure it'll be the same again with #3

@Dreamingof3 I'd imagine it'd have a similar effect to the pill as it modifies hormones? Never used it myself though as it's contraindicated for my medical history.

CD10 and AF is here, so another 9 day luteal phase for me 😔 The vitamin b6 obviously had no effect, don't know whether to keep taking it and add vitamin C or maybe I should try this agnus castus stuff? Or all of the above 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's getting me down now as I don't see how I can get pregnant if I'm bleeding before implantation has a chance to take place 😩

I@Nyxxie im with you on another thread..did u track ovulation?

MrsGrealish · 24/04/2022 22:32

@Nypie I can guarantee this will be DHs reaction if we succeed too😂

Nypie · 25/04/2022 00:30

@dearhummingbirds this is what I was thinking, I wanted us to talk openly about it see how he was feeling how I'm feeling, it's a huge deal for me too. But my way was definitly too much for dp 😂😂.

@SarahShorty sorry you're having a hard time of it losses are so so hard but please don't let your age worry you too much, there are young people who struggle and older people who don't it is so personal. Fingers so tightly crossed for you, in the mean time take care of yourself.

Like a few you I might also be on my period on my hol so annoying but I've been using the cup for years now and though it is not for everyone I barely notice I'm on my period when I'm using it.

@Dreamingof3 I agree with Wingingit I always thought that was similar to the pill, not sure how much damage it could do in just a month but I personally wouldn't risk it. You could always try the all natural way of stressing yourself out before ovulation...always works for me 😂😂😂. All jokes aside there may be a few natural ways of delaying a period or helping it to be lighter I used to do the paracetamol one in my younger days

WingingIt09 · 25/04/2022 09:50

@Nypie I have recently bought a mooncup. I just can't get it positioned correctly. It rides up and then it leaks 🙈 I really wanted to on with it so I could not bother with tampons when going swimming.

Dreamingof3 · 25/04/2022 10:13

I've always wanted to try period pants or a cup tbh but worried that it just won't be enough. I might actually get some period pants to have as a back up for really heavy days

Does anyone have recommendations?

FourOclock · 25/04/2022 10:37

I really recommend The Period Lady for reusable period stuff, they have a lovely lady called Roisin who is amazing in her cup knowledge, there are so many and some fit better than others in different people, and she's really good at figuring out the right one.

Period pants I absolutely love Flux and Wuka

HeathenPlayingHouse · 25/04/2022 11:12

Hello all!

@Nypie Sorry about OH dimming your excitement to TTC, men really don't seem to think before they open their mouths, do they?

I only had 4-5 days free of bleeding after taking the Norethisterone, it started again yesterday.

I'm not sure whether it's because I only took it for 2 days, but I just looked at my calendar, and that would have been the right day to start AF based on my OPKs. So I'm classing this as a new cycle, and moving on!

LemonZestDribbles · 25/04/2022 11:15

@WingingIt09 last thing you want is worrying all the time you're pregnant is worrying about them being born on that date so condoms is a great idea

@SarahShorty that sounds really fun! Love the hair fondling too 🤣

@dearhummingbirds we're going for our first dtd unprotected tonight. I can already sense the fear of pressure off dh even though I've tried not to make a deal of it 🙈

I have really heavy periods esp off the pill and I tend to use period pants as a back up. I really like them. I did use a moon cup before but Ive previously got it stuck (twice) and I cannot deal so back to tampons and pads

Dreamingof3 · 25/04/2022 11:19

@LemonZestDribbles that's my fear! Think I'll try out period pants for now

WingingIt09 · 25/04/2022 11:54

@Dreamingof3 I love period pants. I was a bit dubious but got a few to try and they've been great. Very comfy, never had a leak and I pretty much forget I'm on my period once cramps are gone. I have the ones from cheeky wipes.

@Dreamingof3 I might be getting my wish about later ovulation... OPKs still faint this morning, will test again later but I reckon won't peak until tomorrow at the earliest. Hopefully might shift AF just enough to arrive either on last day of holiday or once I'm home!

@WingingIt09 yayy will keep my fingers crossed 🤞

Cherrymarket · 25/04/2022 12:13

I use a saalt menstrual cup and modibodi pants as a back up. I have heard cheeky wipes have just bought out some period knickers so am going to try them too!

ive never got it stuck but am militant about breaking the seal before pulling 😆

FourOclock · 25/04/2022 12:23

I can also recommend a disc to those less keen on cups due to the suction. They don't need to be so precisely fitted and you can have sex with them in too!

SarahShorty · 25/04/2022 12:29

@Nypie Thank you 🙂

@LemonZestDribbles Right?! It's the strange little things lol

Cherrymarket · 25/04/2022 12:50

CD1 for me today… it has begun 😬😬

BlueberryMacaron · 25/04/2022 12:54

Which fertility/cycle tracking apps are we using and are you paying for them? It's an overwhelming minefield out there!

lj2022 · 25/04/2022 13:05

@BlueberryMacaron I use natural cycles and honestly love it I take my BBT and it's so good to know I'm actually ovulating. Most apps only go by estimating ovulation so I like that it pinpoints it by using BBT. I've had 2 friends have great success with it so hoping that same success comes for me too

SarahShorty · 25/04/2022 13:06

@BlueberryMacaron I'm using the Premom app with the accompanying easy@home OPK. I'm avoiding using any early detection HCG tests. It's just too easy for me to get my hopes up and have them dashed when it comes back negative.

Dreamingof3 · 25/04/2022 13:12

@BlueberryMacaron I'm using premom with Easy @ home tests too

Cherrymarket · 25/04/2022 13:15

@BlueberryMacaron I have used period tracker since forever, but I also use Femometer as it has an auto opk analyser (that I take with a pinch of salt).
i have not been on contraception for years now and we conceived using the natural family planning method. I read a book called taking Charge of your fertility which was good, and there’s also a podcast called fertility Friday which is good for fertility and tracking tips, although can be repetitive!

Amber17 · 25/04/2022 15:47

@BlueberryMacaron I paid for Natural Cycles and am using one step OPKs with the free version of premom. Have used Clue for periods for years so still tracking on that too. Currently all three have wildly different predictions for my next AF 😂

LemonZestDribbles · 25/04/2022 15:57

@FourOclock oooh I'm going to look into these

@BlueberryMacaron I use Flo. I did use Femometer before but the app totally changed its interface and I couldn't cope so went with a new app 🤣

WingingIt09 · 25/04/2022 16:36

@BlueberryMacaron i use the free version of fertility friend and also premom for my OPKs
