CD1 here, starting a new thread for those who are hoping to get a BFP in May for a January/February baby 🥰

This is my cycle 3 trying for #2. I've got an 18mo old son.

Thanks @Catred4 x which cycle and cd are you on now?

Yes I definitely thought it would maybe take us 3 months at most! It's crazy how it can be so different. To be fair tho, it's pretty tiring having a toddler and I'm still breastfeeding, plus had a few health issues recently so I guess my body is going through a lot ATM. I'm also working almost full time so basically I'm just exhausted 😅

Just spoke to the GP and she's going to get me in for some tests just to try to rule out any issues so I'm grateful she's taking my miscarriages seriously. Makes me feel better knowing that I'll be seen!

Skylark1990 · 19/04/2022 14:18

Hi @Jessie456 and welcome. Yes so hard to remain positive! Sorry you've not had your bfp yet. I'm cd 3 so just two ahead of you :)

Very sorry to hear about your miscarriages, hopefully this is your month!
Catred4 · 19/04/2022 14:44

@Skylark1990 that's so good that the GP is taking it seriously. I also have a (nearly). An wow breastfeeding still, well done you! I breasted for the first 5 weeks then pumped for 5 months then my supply completely went! Really hope if we have another baby I manage to have a better bfing experience! We've been trying properly for 2 months, before that I wasn't really tracking ovulation just doing whatever whenever, currently on CD12 but normally ovulate around CD18 so fingers crossed!

@Catred4 Aww pumping for 5 months is incredible too, it's so much admin! Go you! That's some serious commitment. ❤️ Why did you stop direct Breastfeeding if you don't mind me asking? I'm sure you'll have a better experience second time, I think just knowing more about what we are going into can really help. Would recommend the books by La Leche League, as well as their free online course. Both helped me a lot!

Yes I'm really glad I'm being seen. My gut tells me the losses are to do with me being a bit run down but best to rule other things out if I can... 🤞are you using the LH sticks and temping at all? How old is your DS? X

Finding TTC so frustrating. Every month something seems to get in the way of us ttc during my fertile period. Last month I had covid whilst I was fertile/ovulating this month we’re on opposite shift patterns so barely seeing one another, despite living in the same house I literally am not seeing him (except at work 🚑) until Saturday afternoon !!

We’ve been ttc since dec but only manage 3-4x a month due to our shift, things keep getting in the way (covid) and his very low sex drive :(:(

I’m 42 so time is of the essence :(

Harriet669 · 19/04/2022 16:19

@Bluelightbaby feeling the frustration here too! Mines away this week when I think ovulation will be so there's not much hope this month!

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 19/04/2022 16:34

Hi ladies, this is our first cycle trying again after a miscarriage. Hoping for a sibling for my little boy soon!

@allthingssparkly did you get your peak?

@salia12345678910 welcome! Hope this new medication works for you 🤞

@Skylark1990 sorry about the chemicals :( what age is dd?

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing I can still see a hint. Are they one step cheapies? When is af due?

@Jessie456 welcome! It does get so hard :( here's to this cycle 🤞

@Bluelightbaby it does get very frustrating - especially with life and low sex drive getting in the way. It does only take that one lucky one 🤞

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing when I got my bfp with number 1 my one step test was so faint you could barely squint it but I had a really clear result on frer. I know they're expensive but it might be worth having a try to see 🤞

LemonZestDribbles · 19/04/2022 19:57

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing found the pic to show you the difference. The middle is the cheap one step ones I had that you get with the ovulation tests. So it could be worth trying a different test just to see ❤

Hoping for BFP in May
allthingssparkly · 19/04/2022 20:00

Hey @LemonZestDribbles I got a 'High' OPK reading earlier on, I'm not sure whether I need to test again tonight to see if I get a 'Peak' reading or wait till tomorrow morning?

@LemonZestDribbles I have done another OPK this evening which has gone back to a low reading but it's altered the above test to 'Peak' from 'High' so maybe I have a rapid surge and ovulate the same day, I have heard of that happening rather than ovulating 12-36 hours after the positive opk if that makes sense 🙈 Doesn't give me much time does it if that's the case 🤣 Have DTD though during my FW so we shall see. Will also be able to tell once I've done my temp in the morning hopefully! x

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing I'd wait until at least the morning fmu to get the longest hold if you can. You're only early so it might be too soon 🤞

@allthingssparkly be interesting to see what the temp says in the morning. At least you've did through the window so if you have already ovulate you're in with a good chance 🤞

allthingssparkly · 19/04/2022 21:41

I will update once I've done it tomorrow @LemonZestDribbles ☺️

Hopefully 🤞🤞

misstime · 19/04/2022 22:50

Hi all, looking to join for May. I'm 10dpo today but bfn this morning so pretty sure I'm out this month and just waiting for AF now.
We're TTC baby #2 but I have a history of recurrent miscarriage so it may take a while!

@LemonZestDribbles BBT has risen this morning after the peak OPK yesterday afternoon 😬😬 I'm hoping this is a good sign? Does it need to stay elevated?

Hoping for BFP in May
TeddyBeans · 20/04/2022 07:02

Morning all 😘 finally getting some movement on the OPKs! It's all a bit weird though, if I haven't ovulated yet then my 25 day cycles mean my luteal phase is really short...

@misstime my friend was in your situation. She had one CP on the first cycle they tried and had a successful pregnancy the second cycle so it may happen sooner than you think 🤞✨
