Hoping for BFP in May

CD1 here, starting a new thread for those who are hoping to get a BFP in May for a January/February baby 🥰

This is my cycle 3 trying for #2. I've got an 18mo old son.

@Harriet669 I have previously. What kind do you have? I used one step cheap ones along with an app (flo I think). Once I was in the predicted fertile period I'd pee once a day with them until the line grew stronger then I'd test twice a day until the surge (usually the line would be the same strength or stronger than control) and then I presumed I'd ovulate in the next few hours/day.

It was obviously sad but ready to move forwards, just wish my body be more ready. Can’t even use apps yet as cycle all over the place.

I will probably just lurk on the thread until I get ovulation/period evidence as who knows how long I could be in limbo for and won’t really be able to contribute much until then!

Hi Everyone. Jumping on here from the previous month's thread, as AF has got me at around 8dpo-10dpo. I'm likely going to need emotional support as I tackle trying to get my GP to begin to investigate what's going on for me.
Based on the tracking of my last few cycles, I will ovulate around the 3rd May so will be testing around the 10th - 12th May.

I'm tracking this cycle with OPK's and BBT as of tomorrow (CD9) is anyone else tracking? So I'm not alone 🙈 Didn't bother last cycle but feel it will help me to know when I'm ovulating seen as my cycle lengths are varying slightly from what I've noticed.

@GeraniumCedarwood how long have you been ttc? Is it the short luteal phase you're looking to get investigated?

@allthingssparkly I'm going to be. I'm still due af but not sure when it's due as my period was 19 days late last cycle so I think my body is a little out of sorts. Very little chance this cycle so looking forward to getting on with the next

How long have you been trying? Do you think the issue is around a short luteal phase?

@LemonZestDribbles I hope your period turns up soon so you can start tracking. Good luck to you! My last cycle was 27 days and the one before that was 35. So they're regular/within normal but just vary in length for some reason!

I've also started taking B Complex Vitamins too which contain Folate 😊😊

Hi everyone, can I join?
I'm TTC baby number 1. I had a miscarriage in September, then another in December, and I'm now CD1 of cycle 5 after that. Ovulation should be around the 27th of April.

@allthingssparkly I'm CD9 and started OPKs today, not used BBT so far although I do have one. Also use an app called Lilly Tracker just to keep all dates in one place.
Hope for a peak Monday/Tuesday going off previous months do I'll be due to test first few days in May.

Good luck @Gummybear10 we can be in this together! I have never tracked with BBT but will start first thing along with OPK's which I did in Feb's cycle. I'm going to input all my data into the Pre Mom app on my phone 😊😊😊

@LemonZestDribbles I bought some off Amazon, called Femometer I think and downloaded them app, not feeling very hopeful as periods range from 8 day cycle to 30 day cycle so far this year, they're never been regular but not this regular, think it's due to cyst on my right ovary, thought i would try OPK's to see if I actually ovulate! I had loads of EWCM last cycle when predicted ovulation was so hopeful that means I do ovulate on my longer cycles

@allthingssparkly I'm CD9 too. OPK was negative this morning so will do another one tomorrow. My cycles seem to have dropped from 28 days to 25 in the last couple of months so wanted to make sure I'm actually ovulating when I think I am. Good luck to you! ✨

Same for me with my OPK this morning @TeddyBeans I have just started them today along with BBT hoping I remember to do that every day as soon as I wake every morning, I do have an alarm set 🤭🤭

Pre Mom app says my fertile window is due to start in two days and my ovulation date being the 21st April but this is based on my LMP and that cycle length. So it will be interesting to see this month whether I do actually ovulate then or if it is different.

@Harriet669 that is really irregular! I've not used the femo sticks but I do love their app. That should hopefully help you pinpoint on the longer cycles. Are docs going to do anything with the cyst?

I thought my period would come today as before I was pregnant I only had 7 days between ovulating and af. I came off the pill last month and it was 2 weeks between ovulation and period and my app is predicting the same so I'm hopeful that my short luteal phase has cured itself 🤞

@LemonZestDribbles just did my first OPK today as it says start CD5 and then do one every day! Got a scan in a few weeks to see if shines or not, last cycle it really played up when I think I ovulated, loads of nausea and headaches so hoping this doesn't happen this cycle!

CD 22 here, interested to see how long this cycle will be as they’ve been fluctuating a bit lately between 25 and 29 days. Need to get this period out the way so we can start trying!

Morning all! CD11 and my OPK seems marginally darker than yesterday. Still obviously negative though. Anyone know how quickly they turn positive?

Morning @TeddyBeans are you inputting images of your OPK's into Pre Mom app? I think it can happen gradually were they go from low, high to peak readings or they can go straight from low to peak readings it's good to test twice a day from CD11 so that you don't miss the surge. Good luck, sharing this journey as I'm CD11 today too!
