@Dreamingof3 3 will be so much fun! I cannot imagine having 3 but then I didn't think I'd want two. Hormones have a lot to answer for 🤣

@Dreamingof3 so many on the actively trying list now! 3 weeks for me till my next cycle then we're trying! So exciting! But like you some days I look at my kids fighting or tantruming and think why on earth am I going for a third 😂🙈

I'm so impatient, I've got 7 days until AF is due but did a pregnancy test this morning which came back negative - no matter how much I squinted. I know its too early and I'll wait a few more days, but I just want to know! Boobs have been really tender for the last week so I'm clinging onto that as a sign...?!

@Brightonbelle87 I know! Hopefully we will get lots moving to the pregnant list soon. 7 days till AF is probably a bit early for a BFP so you're still in with a chance! Fingers crossed for you, do you know how many DPO you are? Xx

What an exciting list!

AF due this week and I’m going away for work. Im 99% certain we missed the window (intentionally) but feel like I should pack a test just in case AF doesn’t turn up - I do not want to have to do the Bridget Jones buying a test in a language I don’t speak thing 😂

Will def be trying next cycle though - I think I’ve timed the next work trip as immediately post ovulation but am getting nervous I’ll be a few days late and then miss it entirely.

DP asked if we should start trying in june...but can't because of bloody zika virus 😭😭😭😭😭. Bestie has said I should just wait as we have a girls trip coming before TTC but I dont care if I'm pregnant I will go and be the most fun t -total pregnant lady. Gonna book an appointment with the Drs so they can drum into me what I already know.

Has anyone done a pre TTC check up? Google says its a thing...?

I’ve got a TTC check-up thing booked for May, as I live abroad and need to get up to speed with how pregnancy and birth is handled here. Apparently they recommend it here for first time mums, but I imagine it’s probably just checking your weight, telling you take folic acid and not drink. I’ll keep you posted!

I decided to hold off one more month before I actively try, as I have a couple of holidays planned in April and early May, so I didn’t want to risk being pregnant for them - and I also wanted to try to avoid a January baby.

I’m actually ovulating today - or at least according to my ovulation strips I am. Really keen to get started but I know it makes sense to hold off until this time next month :(

I'm brand new to these forums, so I'm sorry if I'm gatecrashing anything! I have lurked on the site for a little while. I've been TTC since February so not long at all, unfortunately no BFP yet. Started a new cycle literally today and I feel quite gutted, though it's only the second attempt and I've heard it's uncommon to get a BFP after such a short time. Anyway, I hope you're all having a lovely day and thank you for these forums!

first month properly TTC baby #1, now 2DPO. We DTD every other day from cycle day 8 - 17. Poor DH doesn't know what's hit him but he's loving life!

I'm now 2DPO and trying not to wish the next fortnight away or get my hopes up too high. Lots to keep me occupied with getting the house decluttered as our would be nursery is currently a junk room and our house needs a fair bit of renovation work.

With the cost of everything going up, I've just sat down and figured out a rough budget for maternity leave. It's been helpful to see where we could make savings to ensure taking a year off is affordable (I'm the main breadwinner, but mat pay in teaching is not the most generous). We're also try to pay for as many house renovations as we can afford in the meantime. I feel better for having a better idea of how much I need to be putting in each savings pot.

Hope this is a good month for lots of sticky beans!

I have been feeling a bit flat this weekend, turns out I came back from holiday with covid so a bit of a waste of Easter weekend 🙃 I have been trying to rest!
I also got my period so feeling ill and bad period pain. Happy days 🤣 but could definitely be worse timing to catch covid, I managed to dodge it for two years so can't really complain.

I really CBA with the stress of ttc - might have done too much research before this point as I am feeling quite anxious about everything. Not ideal I know!

@brightonbelle87 definitely still in with a chance...sore boobs was always my first pregnancy symptom 🤞

@nypie we had a pregnancy 'scare' last month when my period was 10 days late. I was really upset that I wasn't pregnant. Dh said if I was going to be miserable every month now we should just try now and I said DEAL. I think he might have been half joking but it's too late now 🤣

@LucyLoopyLu covid and period together is just cruel. At least it gets it over with. I hate the stress too. The stork would be so much easier

@WingingIt09 ooh exciting to officially be trying next month! Definitely not worth holding off just based on their comments as like other have said it’s highly unlikely you’d give birth on that exact date.

@LemonZestDribbles welcome! I’m like your DH. Keep looking at my DD and thinking ‘really? Am I mad wanting a second?!’ 😂 we originally wanted to wait until she was 3 (so trying early 2023) but tbh I’m just too broody haha. I convinced DH by saying it’ll probably take months anyway so better to start trying sooner rather than later! I also ‘met’ a load of ladies through mumsnet who were all due the same month with my first. We have a fb group and message all the time even now. It’s been an absolute lifesaver, particularly when there have been things we’ve been concerned about or just to have some solidarity when it’s all a bit tough.

@SarahShorty welcome! It’s mad how crushing it is when your period arrives even when not trying for long.

I’m currently CD23. Not sure how many DPO as wasn’t tracking. We didn’t DTD that much so not feeling too hopeful but also feeling pretty relaxed at the moment. I’m sure that’ll change in a weeks time 😂

@tryingtryinggone I'm also in a couple of Facebook groups from MN. It's so good to be able to message about daft things like overflowing nappies or whinge to other parents about demon children knowing they're in the same boat. No idea what I'd do without them - esp without many 'irl' mum friends. The broods are ao hard - literally babies everywhere atm. Fingers crossed this is your month

Hey ladies
Not been on for the last month because I actually found myself getting a bit too obsessed with the pre-TTC bit so took a step back 😂 just going to have a good read through and catch up what I've missed. We're supposed to be starting TTC number 2 at the end of the month but have just had a really bad week of sleep with our 2yo and now my husband is saying he's wondering if we should delay. I feel like there's always a million reasons to delay (!) and having got myself mentally prepared for it being now I'd like to not go back and forth with it but we'll see what happens with his mindset over the next week or so

@tropicana1 I do this! Every time I get frustrated with my kids I think oh god how will I handle another 😅
Sleep wise, I would say its easier to introduce a newborn now than when you're used to a good night's sleep! I'd also say to your dh that even if you fall pregnant quickly you're still looking at 10months+ before a baby is born so plenty of time for things to change with you 2 yo x

Finally made some progress with the GP surgery!

I was getting myself all worked up waiting for their callback, but thankfully it was a different doctor I spoke to.

He started to say that I would have to wait to be seen by the gynaecologist, but then I explained the bleeding after sex/bleeding and large clotting between periods and how I basically am afraid to leave the house sometimes.

He's prescribed Norethisterone, which I've never tried before. I'm a little nervous to take it because I read it's a progestin/androgen, but at this point I don't have any other options.

Has anyone else taken Norethisterone before? What was it like for you?

@HeathenPlayingHouse I'm glad you've finally got some progress! Hopefully Norethisterone works for you, I've never used it so no advice there I'm afraid x
