@anibendod @TheOnlyException1 @tryingtryinggone it's so hard isn't it I really didn't realise how triggering tracking would be for my anxiety. I'm still using the natural cycles app but not temping. It confirmed my ovulation for 2 months so it's now predicting based on that so hopefully can just go by the app estimation

@prettypolly92 we found out with out first but not with our second. Definitely find out next time. It doesn't make a huge difference for me in terms of what we buy but I like halving the names we need to decide on 😆 and I just felt I bit more like I already knew my first...if that makes sense?

The whole idea of labour scares me 😅 first was emergency c section and second was planned. All being well I'll be holding out for a natural birth next time and excited about it but also terrified!

@PrettyPolly92 I will definitely be finding out if/when it happens for me. I couldn't stand not knowing and I'd want to be able to obsess about names (which I already am but would be easier knowing the sex! 🤣)

Think I'm nearing Ov day so will be trying over the next few days 🤞🤞🤞

@FourOclock I was like that for my DD who was quick as well - I just kept saying “she’s here” and “I did it” like a parrot 😂

@FourOclock also thank you for the offer of cloth nappy advice! I’m hoping next one will be a little less active and a little chubbier of leg 😂

I’ve popped onto Mumsnet on occasion, but first time really delving in.
I’m 30 and have been with my partner for 10 years, and we’re starting to have the shall we ttc chat and have decided that August seems like the time for us, as I recently started a new job. We’re also finishing up the renovation of a house, so things seem to be lining up. Although we did want to get some more travelling in - covids not helped us out there!
Trying to get my head around all of the acronyms and feeling a little apprehensive about it all! Thought it would be good to chat to some others in the same boat as me.

It definitely does - thank you! AF and BFP were really throwing me!

Pretty certain I am out this month... no sore boobs, i know my CM like clockwork and its had tiny bits of brown discharge in, so I'll be waiting for AF to show in the next 3-4 days. Hard not to feel sad, had a cry to DH that I was never going to get pg. But feeling more positive today because we weren't really trying. I might test... but that would probably be a waste.

How's everyone else in the TWW? anyone else testing this week?

@NarnieJoy it's so hard not to feel sad. AF is due on Saturday for me and I feel she's definitely going to arrive then. It's disheartening even if not fully trying. I've realised I think I've got a short literal phase which is making me think even more that I'm out this month. Let's keep our fingers crossed for next month

According to Flo my ovulation was 2 days ago, so just starting the wait.. trying hard not to think about it really! I have no idea what symptoms to watch out for and when.. which may be a good or a bad thing for anxiety, I'm not sure! I guess I just wait and see if AF arrives?

@NarnieJoy sorry you haven't had much luck this month - fingers crossed for you next month!

I'm coming up to the 3 month countdown before we start trying! DH is even slowly starting to come around to the idea even though I know he loves our current lifestyle and has started researching the best prams etc. which I'm taking as a very positive sign!

@OCM19 I caught COVID a few days before I was due to ovulate and I don't think I ended up ovulating. I normally feel it but didn't this time.
Also having a really bad period now too.
Could be COVID but I'm also knocking on a bit... 😂

Hi all! Can I join? Im 29, came off the pill last year as I wasn't using it correctly anyway and had been on it for 10 years so wasnt sure how long it would take for my body to "return to normal". Currently using the natural cycles app to prevent pregnancy but we've had risky months including this one so I find myself in TWW, idealy we want to start trying in September but I get more and more broody with every cycle 👶🏽

Congrats to the two with BFPs must be such a great and anxious feeling.

I definitely want to find out what we're having when we finally get the bfp. It's likely to be my only baby so want to be really prepared lol!

I've just starting using the clear blue digits OPK instead of the cheapy strips as I didn't really seem to ovulate last month using them so after my first proper period I bought this one. Has anyone else that has used them missed the flashy face and gone straight to a static one?

I had a plain circle for 4 days then yesterday I got a static which is peak? The Flo app said I would ovulate yesterday.

I didn't know if this was a bit strange? xx

I've never used the Clearblue ones as they seems very confusing and are very expensive! I've agreed with DP to not tell him when I think I'm ovulating and we'll be DTD every 3 days so will catch the the FW 😃 I'm sure there are some lovely ladies in this forum who can help you more than me!

@lj2022 I used cheapie OPKs to track ovulation last month to practice but I found it very thought consuming 😔 I was constantly telling myself to hold my pee in as long as possible to get the best result, I'm surprised I didn't give myself a UTI! I was planning on sneakily tracking it when we do start TTC next month but I don't think I'll bother now it stresses me out too much!

Interesting to hear all your stories on finding out the genders definitely food for though 🤔 ☺️

Anybody testing over the weekend?

I'm 7DPO today, finding the TWW very difficult! Not helped by having 3 separate dreams last night, all of me being 7DPO each time yet having very clear pregnancy symptoms haha! So to wake up with zilch was a bit meh.. not unexpected and probably wouldn't care if it weren't for those dreams!!

@hevann I use the CB ones, and had very similar my first month - I had 2 blank days then straight onto static! Then this month 9 days of flashing then finally a static.. very odd!

Thanks for all the support, and yep BFN today - so at least I can move on.

@lj2022 I found this paper, as I was worried about short lutal phase. Obviously, you know your body and when to speak to a healthcare professional. I mentioned it to the ANP I saw a few weeks ago and she said to try not to worry too much. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5337433/
