Thanks for the add! I’ve been a bit quiet, just getting on with this cycle 😂. Have been using CB advanced opk and so far it hasn’t shown me as ovulating yet. Bit worried about that that, but I think I might just ovulate much later than I thought/my period app told me I did. Which would explain why I’m not catching, we’ve been timing all wrong! Fingers crossed for this month.

WingingIt09 · 21/02/2022 08:48

@Worryant hopefully it goes positive soon, as you said you probably just ovulate later than the average and using the OPKs will give you a better chance of DTD at the right time! FC for you xx

Hi all, I've not been on much recently as I've had the dreaded covid! Just in my fertile window now but we're not going to stress this month about making sure we hit the right days as the last few weeks have been stressful with being ill and not being able able to work (self employed)! So back on it next month hopefully! How's everyone else who's currently ttc getting on?

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 21/02/2022 09:09

Thanks winging. We are on our way to our holiday, the flooding round here is bad this morning.

FourOclock · 21/02/2022 09:21

Hello Smile

Worryant · 21/02/2022 09:31

@WingingIt09 thanks so much. FC for everyone trying this month. X

@Cavylady hello testing buddy. Hoping the next couple of months are a bit more positive for us. Sorry to hear you’ve been ill, and hope work is ok for you. My OH was self employed until very recently and it was so stressful especially across covid. Sending lots of love. X

Dreamingof3 · 21/02/2022 10:04

Heres to thread 2 and some bfps 🤞

LucyLoopyLu · 21/02/2022 10:19

Hi everyone! Thanks for starting the new thread!

Hoping we get some BFPs in this one 🤞

@cavylady sorry you've not been well, hope you're on the mend now

I've obviously been doing too much googling because all my Facebook and Instagram ads have turned into baby stuff overnight 🤣

Amber17 · 21/02/2022 11:27

Hi :) Hoping for some BFPs this thread!

@LucyLoopyLu Mine's just done the same! And every youtube ad is for ClearBlue!

hevann · 21/02/2022 11:30

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the new thread, I wonder how many threads we'll go through! Lol! x

NarnieJoy · 21/02/2022 13:13

Hi everyone ! Thanks for all the chipping in about car seats and cloth nappies, much to think about. I never knew about nappy and sling libraries that’s an amazing tip.

I think MIL will want to buy our pram - so I think I’ll end up having to let her choose a bit! But sometimes the amount of choices you have to make for a baby seems overwhelming.

Tropicana1 · 21/02/2022 13:48

Thanks ladies for the welcome and adding me to the List!
Glad I'm in good company with the forward planning / obsession haha!
Bit more intro, I'm 31 and this will be number 2 for us - it's been 3 years since last TTC and I literally feel like I've forgotten everything about ovulation timings 🤣

Shopping wise I got a Moses basket on fb market place which was good for bunging her in downstairs for 5 minutes but she wanted to be held 110% of the time so I'm glad I didn't actually spend on it 😂 similarly was was more into slings and carriers than the pram, the close caboo and baby bjorn air one saw us well in the early days!

LucyLoopyLu · 21/02/2022 14:35

@tropicana1 - I can see why a sling or carrier would be so much more practical, and also just so cute when they are all cosy and close. Plus if you're bringing a pram in and out of the house doesn't it just drag dirt inside? Our downstairs is very cramped and no hallway, really awkward and not very pram friendly anyway

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 21/02/2022 15:22

I will probably be 90% sling for the first year tbh.

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 21/02/2022 15:24

However last time I was very envious of all the mums with their smart pram systems so I will probably cave and get one that gets used once a week or something Grin

Duckandsarah · 21/02/2022 15:48

Thank you for the new thread!
Hope this is a lucky one for those trying already.

I think I will have to get a material wrap sling because we borrowed one from a friend last time and DH wore dd a lot. I’m hoping sling libraries will be open again!

That being said I much much preferred the pram and I’m glad I invested in a good one I loved.

FourOclock · 21/02/2022 17:34

I haven't had as much use out of slings as I hoped, I used one when DS1 was tiny but was pregnant again by the time he was 3 months old and found it too tiring to wear even before my bump came. And then obviously had two and really was not up for strapping two kids to me Grin I love a pram for longer outings purely just for storage rather than feeling like a pack horse but I would like to do slings again with another baby when the older two are at preschool for local dog walks/farm stuff etc. And I have done alfresco naps for the boys in prams which they both loved so I do think there's value in both Smile

Nyxxie · 21/02/2022 20:07

Hi again everyone. Fingers crossed for lots of BFPs on our new thread :)

I'm on CD14 and my opk result was darker today so hoping for a peak soooon 🤞

WingingIt09 · 21/02/2022 20:16

@FourOclock I love a pram for storage reasons! That's part of the reason I carried on using my pram for 2 years before switching to the buggy - I love he huge basket space. Umbrella fold buggy just doesn't cut it for basket space 😂

Cheekypeach · 21/02/2022 20:16

Hi all! Wow another thread already! We’re a committed bunch aren’t we…

CD22 here, due my period on Sunday, just want to get it over with so we can start ttc!

Work is very stressful at the moment, a year of maternity leave has never looked more appealing! I’m due to ovulate on a Saturday so I’m wondering whether a babysitter/meal out/bottle of white wine might get us off to a flying start..!

NarnieJoy · 21/02/2022 20:18

@Cheekypeach definitely treat yourself, just got to do what you got to do!

WingingIt09 · 21/02/2022 20:19

@Cheekypeach I'd take any excuse for a date night! Go for it!

I am still sooo impatient for my period, 7 weeks on from stopping pill, I've been doing OPKs again but no sign of any lines on them. I'm so going to end up with it taking 6 months to come back and missing my ideal TTC window of May 🙈

OP posts:
NarnieJoy · 21/02/2022 20:20

@WingingIt09 @FourOclock I’ve been eyeing up the bugaboo donkey because of its storage capabilities! Whenever I see a friend with a kid for a walk I love being able to bing my stuff on the biggie when I offer to push!

NarnieJoy · 21/02/2022 20:21

@WingingIt09 don’t loose hope, you could always chat to the GP about giving you that pill which induces a bleed to see if it kickstarts the hormones

WingingIt09 · 21/02/2022 20:22

@Nyxxie downside of the bugaboo donkey would have to be the width though! Some spaces in shops are a tight squeeze with a standard width single pram.
