@FourOclock 😂 how many DPO are you? With my eldest I got a faint positive on a sensitive test the Tuesday at 10DPO when AF was due on the Saturday/Sunday. With my youngest I was also 10DPO but no idea on how many days before AF was due that was as I conceived the first cycle after a miscarriage.

I'm about 9DPO. With my first, every month I tested early it was negative. The first month I refused to test until my period was late was the month I fell pregnant. So I feel like testing early jinx's me which I realise is ridiculous

DS keeps telling everyone I've got a baby in my tummy so MIL is highly suspicious!! No idea why he keeps saying it, we've never mentioned anything baby related in front of him. Although our cows on the farm are having calves so maybe it's from that!

Hi everyone, first time on mumsnet and reading lots of positive comments and I need a bit of a boost! Myself and DH are trying for baby no.1. I had a miscarriage last Oct after trying for about 8 months and we've been trying again but I've just started my period for yet another blooming month! Just getting frustrated really. How long did others generally take to conceive after a miscarriage or even the first time? Thanks!

Hi @Brightonbelle87 I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage , this thread is very supportive and we all support each other through the stresses of TTC!

Following my post last night, I am now on CD19 and still getting flashing faces on the CB OPK. Is it possible I've missed ovulation? I remember my CM changing last week but I think that may have been too early for ovulation, I can't recall the exact date. I'm just not sure why I would still be getting flashing smilys if I've ovulated, or perhaps I will just be late this month and have a really short luteal phase?

I hope everyone is ok, it's nearly March for those waiting to start

Hey @OCM19 - I got flashing smileys for eight days and thought I’d missed it, but I was also doing cheap OPKs in the afternoon. When I saw a peak on those then I tested again on the cb and got a static at about 3pm. I think it flashes indefinitely until it detects the lh surge, as the flashing means it’s detected oestrogen but it won’t change until it sees the second hormone.
How long are your cycles normally? I ovulated much later than I would have expected so am waiting to see if I’ve got pregnant, or if not, if it makes my period later as I’m normally quite a standard 28 day-er.
I was about ready to throw the smiley face in the bin by the time I got the static!

thanks @Worryant, I've only had one cycle since stopping my pill and my AF arriving but I had a 28 day cycle with ovulation around CD17. I guess it could be later this month, it just sucks as we've been BD well but this week is going to be hard due to evening commitments etc, so if I haven't ovulated I guess it's a low chance of pregnancy!

I only have on CB stick left. I'm really tempted not to get more but I can't quite mid-cycle, I'm too invested to see something other than the god dam flashing smiley!

Totally hear you @OCM19 - I was SO begrudging shelling out another £20 on a new box 😂. Why won’t they sell just the sticks?! Fingers crossed you’ve caught it before you’re too busy and it’s your month. X

I’m 3 days post implant removal and I’m starving hungry and have a headache. If this is life off hormones get me back on them 😂

@OCM19 how frustrating! I'd be the same though and not able to stop testing mid-way through so would end up shelling out for a another pack.

@Brightonbelle87 welcome to the thread. I'm so sorry for your loss. I was very lucky and conceived first cycle trying after my miscarrying my second pregnancy. Are you using OPKs or tracking BBT? Maybe your slightly off with timing of DTD? Sending lots of baby dust your way and fingers crossed for this cycle for you.

@amber17 I was the same when I came off the pill! I've got a copper coil now so I unfortunately don't have anything to blame when I get hangry and grumpy! Hope you feel better soon

I’ve not seen this mentioned anywhere except TikTok and I don’t want to scaremonger but apparently Olaplex’s current formulation for No3 is now banned in the EU because of an ingredient linked to infertility 😬 I used that stuff relentlessly in the run up to my wedding but won’t be using it again.

@Amber17 I'm the same - hoping for a May BPF and planning to use opk's the next 2 months to work out where I'm ovulating etc in preparation. AF started at the weekend for me so only 2 more to go before were officially trying!

@TheOnlyException1 welcome! My first is a Christmas baby and it's honestly fine so I personally wouldn't worry too much trying to avoid it

Hey. My AF arrived two days early so that's me out! Gutted.

@WingingIt09 still hoping to start trying in March I'm still waiting on my first period since coming off the pill in January though. The Flo app says around the 9th March I'm due AF but that was based on my withdrawal so who knows when it'll be 🤷🏻‍♀️

It makes me chuckle the Flo app suggests a pregnancy test three days after AF is due. As if I have that kind of self control

Thanks for the welcome! Oh wow you're all so organised I had to look up what all those abbreviations mean! I'm just using the ovia fertility app to track my period due date and it explains how to read your 'liquid'. Do the ovulation tests give you a specific time to DTD?!

Hi @Brightonbelle87 I am also using the Ovia app.

So I’ve decided not to buy more OPK’s for this cycle. I’m on CD20 so will just wait to see what happens. Either I missed ovulation on the sticks or I haven’t ovulated yet! Who knows, but it’s not helping getting stressed about seeing a smiley face 😂

@Brightonbelle87 ovulation tests should give you a good idea of when you ovulate in your cycle. I've only just started using them but it's confirmed for me what I suspected, that I ovulate slightly later than "average" x
