Trying for baby number 3

Me and my husband have just started trying for our 3rd baby this month. Probably being a little bit over enthusiastic but just wanted to create a thread for anyone else in the same boat and hoping for a BFP in the next 4-6 weeks 😃

Would be lovely to hear from people hoping for the same outcome very soon!

@FourOclock homebirth for the win! Mine have not been straight forward, inductions, CS, VBAC, 3rd degree tear, blood transfusions…. Just dont do birth very well 😂 god only knows why I want to do it again

Waddlegoose · 16/02/2022 08:18

Errm I’m three days from my period and I think I may have a faint line! I’m going to get more tests as I don’t quite believe it

HellsBellsK · 16/02/2022 08:31

Oh amazing @Waddlegoose I can see a line without zooming in and I can never see them!

No news here. AF due anytime from tomorrow until next Monday so we will see. I do feel like it is on its way cramps and bloated.

I am so tempted to test but I am going to try and wait it out until Sunday at least.

God twins I don't know - but they are more common the older you get. Happened to my cousin she had 2 then got pregnant with twins and had 4 under 4.

Waddlegoose · 16/02/2022 08:43

I think I would cry if we had twins! Definitely would screw us over from a nursery bill point of view. Take my hat off to any multiple parents, I can’t even imagine two waking in the night etc.

I am an awful serial early tester, I wish I could wait till my period was late. The women that have never early tested probably don’t eat all the chocolate in the house and have will power 🤣

HelloNope · 16/02/2022 08:49

@Waddlegoose I can see the line, so exciting! Keep us updated :)

FourOclock · 16/02/2022 11:48

Ooooo exciting @Waddlegoose!

@MummyMe87 my first birth was a bit of a tricky one, loooooong, forceps, sepsis and then complications with DS as a result of the sepsis. Second birth baffled us all, done and dusted in the middle of the night while DS slept, midwives gone before he woke up. Madness really. Hoping for a repeat of the second and not the first!!

dietcokeandchill · 16/02/2022 12:08

@Waddlegoose definitely see that! Fingers crossed this is it for you.
@FourOclock second birth sounds much better - hopefully a third would follow that!
I have had 2 c sections so this would be a 3rd if it ever happens - I imagine I may get frowns from midwives for a third section

MummyMe87 · 16/02/2022 12:09

@FourOclock yes my DS also had complications because of sepsis in labour, he had E. coli meningitis so was in for a couple of weeks. They like to give us a scare! Definitely aim for the second birth again!!

@Waddlegoose I can see a line aswell!!! Super exciting.
CD9 here!

ThatsNotMyMuffin · 16/02/2022 12:32

@Waddlegoose definitely see a line! All fingers crossed for you!

I had an induction with both, DS vaginal delivery but DD emergency C-section so not sure what I would do really. I'd love to try for a vbac, and a homebirth, but I'm not sure my body can quite manage those big babies we make! Something I like to theoretically ponder even though it might never happen 🤣

satelliteheart · 16/02/2022 12:41

Congrats @Waddlegoose definitely looks like a line!

We have two boys, found out with both, would LOVE a girl but I think we'll keep this one a surprise.

@dietcokeandchill I've had two sections, after my second I asked the Dr if I'd be ok to have a third and she said nothing inside indicated it would be unsafe. My sister has had 5 sections (although has been told another could kill her)

Twins is genuinely my worst nightmare. We have close friends currently pregnant with twins, I can't imagine how they're going to cope

MummyMe87 · 16/02/2022 14:40

@ThatsNotMyMuffin yes I grow big babies aswel 🥴 first was 10lb 5oz at 41weeks and second 10lb at 40weeks. Would ideally like a little smaller for a next one 😂😂😂 so would my arse!

Holly3 · 16/02/2022 15:34

@dani9031 How are you getting on lovely?

I've had such weird symptoms the last few days but especially leg cramps they feel like growing pains all the way up to my hip only on my right side, have seen some threads of other ladies that experienced similar. AF is due on Saturday according to Flo app but my periods aren't always like clockwork but I've done a test today, is it just me or is there a faint line?? Feel like I'm possibly clutching at straws xx

@Holly3 I do think I can see something!

It's more obvious in real life and pink tinge but so faint! Not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me 🤣😩 xx

MummyMe87 · 16/02/2022 16:28

@Holly3 I can see something aswell but I’ve been stung by FRER 3months running, got really convincing indents on every one

Waddlegoose · 16/02/2022 16:34

@Holly3 I can see something too!

My periods also due Saturday so I’m a bit sceptical about the line I got this morning. Haven’t had chance to grab any more tests.

I’ve now reached the panic what if it’s right what the hell have we done moment. So also putting off testing again hahah!

Holly3 · 16/02/2022 16:35

@MummyMe87 Ah it's the worst isn't it! I had an awful one with clearblue but I know they are known for them. I'm keeping everything crossed the line is darker tomorrow, this was taken this afternoon after a 4hour hold so 🤞🏼

Holly3 · 16/02/2022 16:36

@Waddlegoose Haha I completely feel you 🤣 my youngest has been an absolute tinker this afternoon! I think it's a sign like yes mummy have that for even thinking of a third 🤪

I'm okay but AF turned up full pelt on Monday so it's not our month this month. Ah I can see something actually! Fingers crossed AF stays away for you xx

Holly3 · 17/02/2022 10:22

@dani9031 Ah I'm sorry to hear that! It's really a complete minefield isn't it, if only it was simple and the symptoms weren't so similar for AF and early pregnancy!! Xx

Holly3 · 19/02/2022 10:31

@Waddlegoose Any sign of AF? Have you tested? X

Maybebaby7 · 19/02/2022 18:47

Hi ladies, decided to ttc number 3 this week. Only dtd once in fertile period so doubt this will be our month, I am 42. Have 2 ds ages 16 & 5. Previously mc & cp so took break for a year. X

Holly3 · 20/02/2022 10:03

AF arrived this morning I think, still not the same flow as normal and no cramps which is weird but I'm struggling with this journey already it's an absolute emotional rollercoaster!! X

HellsBellsK · 20/02/2022 10:21

Welcome @Maybebaby7

@Holly3 sorry that AF arrived. Have you tested again? It is so hard, I'm trying to take it easy approach but that isn't really working for me.

AF was due yesterday but hasn't arrived yet. My cycle is all over the place so not getting my hopes up to much.
Think I will try and hold off until Tuesday as that would be CD 31 and it has never arrived that late.

How is everyone else getting on?

FourOclock · 20/02/2022 10:24

Sorry to hear that Holly Sad

Fingers crossed for you Hell's!

I'm now into the TWW as of today
