Trying for baby number 3

Me and my husband have just started trying for our 3rd baby this month. Probably being a little bit over enthusiastic but just wanted to create a thread for anyone else in the same boat and hoping for a BFP in the next 4-6 weeks 😃

Would be lovely to hear from people hoping for the same outcome very soon!

Think we will try next month as it would be a mid November birthday for us.
I have sections, so I can nearly pinpoint the day it will be.
The only thing is it would be my daughter's birthday 5 days later.
Might skip December as it would be near Christmas day. But DH tells me that's silly not to try. I'll see though.

Hopefully this day next week my period won't arrive 🤞

satelliteheart · 15/02/2022 10:15

I think Feb will be our last month trying and then we'll take a break. ds2 is a December birthday and I think two birthdays plus Christmas will just get so expensive, so will try to avoid it if we can

dietcokeandchill · 15/02/2022 10:33

I think will try feb and March and then skip
April/may as have SO many January babies in family. Tested positive for covid yesterday though so worried that might have screwed up this month x

Hi everyone,

I am currently TTC my 3rd also.
My period is due Friday, i did a test Sunday & Monday around 10dpo which was BFN.
I am having AF cramps so i believe i am probably out! although no sore breasts which i normally get before my AF!
I would love to get a BFP in the next few months as would love a winter/end of year baby.
I have 2 May babies
Smile

I really want this month to work, I'd love a November baby! This is so silly but last year I tried a 'when will you get pregnant' filter on Instagram for fun and it said May this year. I got pregnant in May both times with the last two and now convinced it will be happen again 😂 ridiculous really. Would like it to happen in February this time!!

Hi there!

Me & my OH have 2 girls age 10 & 8. Tried for our 3rd baby for around 8 months - I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant 🙂 really praying for a baby boy this time! ❤️

I meant 10 & 6 not 8! 😂

Hey @Becca92xo congrats!! I am the opposite... two boys and hoping for a girl!! Will you find out? X

Thank you! Yes I'll be having a gender scan at 16 weeks! Can't wait! I hope we get our boy & girl! ❤️

Did everyone find out with their previous two? I did with my last two but I also had a preference with the last two and this time I don't, so wondering whether to go for a surprise this time.... I am so impatient though I don't know if I'd actually last the whole pregnancy and the guessing would probably drive me mad

We said potentially not finding out the gender. We did with both and have a boy & girl. We have clothes for both so wouldn’t make any difference. Not sure I couldn’t find out though, I get too excited.

AF is due at the weekend and pretty sure it’s not our month. I normally feel sick by now.

ThatsNotMyMuffin · 15/02/2022 19:31

I'm always finding out, I like having a name chosen! We have one of each now.

FourOclock · 15/02/2022 19:40

I found with my last two I just felt so crap that I really needed that lift of finding out at the 20 week scan to give me a bit more excitement to get organised! Almost just don't want to find out so I don't have to listen to any more smugness about how much better it is to have a surprise

MummyMe87 · 15/02/2022 20:13

I Have two boys, didn’t find out with first but did with second. I would definitely find out a third time. Super keen for a girl but obvs healthy baby more important.

HellsBellsK · 15/02/2022 20:26

We didn't find out and if we get pregnant we will wait also. I love the guessing.
I think we are in the minority though.

FourOclock · 15/02/2022 20:33

We have two boys and I really wanted boys both times when planning to get pregnant previously. It feels weird this time genuinely not having a preference, a boy would be easier logistically and I do love having boys, I'd love four boys! But would also be nice to have a girl for a bit of variety

HelloNope · 15/02/2022 20:46

@FourOclock I found out with DS and DD. We have all the stuff needed for either sex so I think we will keep it as a surprise this time, I mean that's the plan 😂 who knows when I get to the 20 week scan!

Bex1010 · 15/02/2022 21:11

Anyone else scared about what would happen if twins popped out Confused

FourOclock · 15/02/2022 21:28

@Bex1010 DH and I were just talking about that this evening!!

ThatsNotMyMuffin · 15/02/2022 22:45

Yeah logistically it's so different going from 2 to 3 than 2 to 4. New car and everything 🤣 I struggle to get pregnant as it is so there's probably zero chance of my eggs going into overdrive!

MummyMe87 · 15/02/2022 22:54

@Bex1010 it is a genuine fear of mine to have any kind of multiple. From a pregnancy/birth perspective due to the increased risks, but also have two newborns and going from 2 to 4. No no and absolutely no!

FourOclock · 16/02/2022 07:09

We have a big car and I'd love four anyway, so it wouldn't be the absolute end of the world, but I would be sad to forfeit a home birth. I've heard third births can be tricky anyway so trying not to assume I'll have an easy birth again, but at least with a singleton there's hope!

MummyMe87 · 16/02/2022 07:26

@FourOclock yes third baby’s can be tricky but more often than not they are quick and ‘easy’ (I use the term ‘easy’ very loosely)

That's good to know. Although my second came after an hour of labour so slightly worried the next one might fall out with a sneeze 😂
