Trying for baby number 3

Me and my husband have just started trying for our 3rd baby this month. Probably being a little bit over enthusiastic but just wanted to create a thread for anyone else in the same boat and hoping for a BFP in the next 4-6 weeks 😃

Would be lovely to hear from people hoping for the same outcome very soon!

@MummyMe87 How are you getting on?? Glad it’s not just my eyes that could see something!! X

Mummyme87 · 17/05/2022 06:51

@Holly3 11dpo today, temp still raised although not 100% reliable as don’t sleep well. Boobs still feeling tender. Tested and can see very faint lines, but not getting my hopes up. The FRER is probably an indent and the cheapie is probs not real 😂

not sure you can see them on pictures

Welcome @thebloodycatwontstopmeowing
hows your 2ww going now?

I’m 7 weeks tomo and feeling really sick. Grateful really as know it’s a good sign but it is starting to get on my nerves now!

How’s everyone else doing?

Hoping43 · 23/05/2022 20:23

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing 👋🏻 I’m on cycle 14 TTC my third age 35. Had all the tests, they can’t find anything wrong 😕

Pheepa · 24/05/2022 07:32

That must be so tough for you both for it to be taking so long with no reason. The month it was successful for us I’d not used OPKs as felt they were adding to the pressure a bit but do know roughly when I ovulate from pain and EWCM. We did a version of SMEP and DTD every other day over a week or so rather than concentrating on every day for when my opk peak was as we had done previously. I’d been on ubiquinol for 3 months as well as folic acid, vit D and omega 3 and hubby had been on a mens multi vit for a month or so. I cut down caffeine and alcohol months ago but hubby only really dropped alcohol in the month it worked.
Not sure if any of those worked or we were just lucky that month. Sure you’ve already tried everything anyway too.
Good luck to everyone still trying and those in the early days after a BFP. It’s all such a nerve wracking and stressful time x

Hoping43 · 24/05/2022 14:58

@Pheepa thanks so much for your message and congrats on your BFP. Did it take you long to conceive? Yes tried everything. My vitamin d is within normal range but lower than some clinics like for optimal fertility so trying to increase that but can’t see it making a difference!! X

Pheepa · 24/05/2022 15:54

@MummyMe87 we were really lucky, fell on 4th month. Wasn’t expecting for it to be quick. Still v nervous as feel like we’ve been too lucky. 1st baby was a suprise, 2nd took 3 months and now even 10 years later it’s only taken 4 months with no losses yet along the way. Feel like I can’t be that lucky. Have a private scan booked on Friday but not sure that will reassure me too much either as there’s still a long way to go before 12 weeks. Then even after that I’ll worry about genetic abnormalities due to my age (38) and preeclampsia. It’s all just so stressful, it’s a wonder anyone ever manages to have babies at all!

Just got my bpf this morning! Completely in shock! Can't wait for DH to get back from work 😁

Pheepa · 29/06/2022 09:55

Hooray! Congratulations @ThatsNotMyMuffin
How many cycles was that? Anything different this month?
I have my first NHS scan tomo. Had a pretty ropey feeling first trimester. Was starting to tail off but feel really sick again today.
Now starting to worry about NT measurements and blood test results!

ThatsNotMyMuffin · 29/06/2022 10:05

Thanks @Pheepa! 8 months since our chemical pregnancy last year. Really hope this one sticks!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow! It's so natural not worry, all fingers crossed for you it goes well ❤️

I really hope so @Pheepa ive always wanted a March baby and would be due right in the middle of March so 😬

ThatsNotMyMuffin · 02/07/2022 11:17

@Pheepa hope you're ok after the scan ❤

Pheepa · 02/07/2022 11:30

Thanks @ThatsNotMyMuffin
I am, I think! NT measurement was 2.3mm and they measured me at 13+3 so within normal range, though towards the higher end. I’m not panicking yet, waiting on blood results which I think will be Tues if there’s anything high risk detected.
My blood pressure was up though when they saw me in clinic after so I ended up on the assessment unit for 8 hours while they monitored it. Sent home on low dose labetalol and it has settled well. Also had a slightly raised liver enzyme level in the emergency bloods they sent off for for preeclampsia check. They didn’t seem concerned though and are going to recheck it at next midwife appt
