Continuation of our last thread…

All of us TTC and in different cycles and stages of our journey.

Helping eachother through the TWW, through the confusing days of OPK/BBT testing and charts, through all of the symptom spotting, the dreaded arrival of AF and the BFP announcements! 😊✨

January was a very lucky month for some who got their BFP and some of us are ready to make February our month!

Hoping for a BFP in Feb😍

So .. First question.. when you've dtd if it's night do you go and empty or sleep with it in?? Lying here wondering whether I can deal with this sticky feeling all night..? 😂

I'm doing inseminations so not quite the same @Cookiedough123 but I leave it in. I have a cervical cup (Ferti Lily) that I wear overnight then empty it in the morning pre shower. I like giving the sperm as much of a chance as possible to get where they need to go. But tbh it probably doesn't make that much difference after about 30 mins as all the good ones will have gotten thru the cervix by then and will hopefully be on their way

Yes I used to get UTIs when I didnt wee after DTD and that would be the last thing you need! I have used good old Google and it says what you have put about the good swimmers stay put! How are you finding insemination?

I wait about 15/20 mins laying down and then carry on as normal, it makes me feel gross when I sleep straight after but gotta do what you've gotta do🤣🤣

So I had bad cramps last night with feeling a bit sick and then got woken up at about 3 and I was so hungry, like savagely hungry then felt sicky. This morning I'm still hungry but not as animal like 😂. What's this bloody ovulation doing to me🤣🤣

13 DPO today..... absolutely no symptoms of any sort but also none of my usual pre AF symptoms. I'm scared to test though haha!

@Cookiedough123 I usually lay for a while but then I do shower but I must admit I was thinking shall I wait until morning to give it extra time haha. I’ve also read that you should have showers or baths that are too hot after or during the tww. Good luck for Feb!

I tend to still pee within 5 mins. I get pretty nasty UTIs if it don’t. Lucky me! Maybe I should look into the cup thing, although last time I tried a menstrual cup, it didn’t go well. Are these ones any easier?!

I have used a menstrual cup for 15 years for AF every month (don't know how I'd survive AF without one tbh) but I did find the Ferti Lily harder as it sits so much higher up on the cervix whereas menstrual cups sit lower (and cervix is lower during AF I think). I would say it's a lot trickier than a menstrual cup but maybe because I've been using a cup for so long? I did quite a few practice runs with the Ferti Lily to get the hang of it, the first couple of times were a mess but I like it now.

@Newbiemg yes got it yesterday woohooo! Been having nausea and cramps all day yesterday and today 🤮

Thank you, its been a super long cycle!! I had an MC in dec and my cycles before then were 29 days so if they stayed the same I'd be able to use a FRER just now as im on CD25🙈
Is it mad that I'm tempted to use a FRER even though I didn't get a peak till CD21🤣

Oh I have no hope then @lakejupiter. The one and only time I tried a menstrual cup, I ended up in a sweaty panic, lay like a flipped turtle on the bathroom floor struggling to get it back out. And that was after the fannying about trying to get it out of it’s folded shape 😂

Sounds like you get pretty rough ov symptoms @Pops100, but at least it’s happened now! Welcome to the TWW! I hope it is a speedy and fruitful one for you ☺️

Stay away from the FRER @Sparklesurprise29! You got this 💪🏼

While I think I’m almost certainly out, I have been having some odd pinching feels in my lower pelvis. Maybe I always get it around this time (9dpo) and never noticed before. TWW is fun…🙄

@Sparklesurprise29 try and hold off a little longer, implantation doesn't necessarily start until around 6-10 days.

I take it back about symptoms... but they are also AF symptoms too! I'm exhausted now, headache and feel sicky 😢
