Hello!

Continuation of our last threadโ€ฆ

All of us TTC and in different cycles and stages of our journey.

Helping eachother through the TWW, through the confusing days of OPK/BBT testing and charts, through all of the symptom spotting, the dreaded arrival of AF and the BFP announcements! ๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ

January was a very lucky month for some who got their BFP and some of us are ready to make February our month!

With giggles and lots of support along the way.

Welcome!

To be fair @Pickles91 you might well be fine without one and your poor cervix/foof doesn't need the added stress! I mostly got one bc I am doing inseminations and we have limited tries per month, plus the sperm is outside in the pot then the syringe for a few mins and I feel like it needs an extra hand. As long as it's all getting up there it will be okay :) I don't think cups/caps/disks are for everyone and I def think using a cup for so long has helped - I use one because I swim most days and have a super heavy first two days, as a teen I had to use super tampons plus pads and still had leakages so the cup was a lifesaver (never leaks) but have friends who have never got on with one

You're not out until AF!! Will you do a FRER or wait for period?

SMD16 · 26/01/2022 17:32

@Pickles91 TWW is full of so many surprises and emotions isn't it! I've noticed things I've never noticed before.

lakejupiter · 26/01/2022 17:33

Welcome @Sparklesurprise29 sorry I missed your initial post โœจ hold out a few more days before weeing on a stick!!

Pickles91 · 26/01/2022 17:40

@lakejupiter i donโ€™t know yet! I might try a cheapie tomorrow, which will be 10dpo and then just wait for AF. Next month I can finally scrap this progesterone trial, so looking forward to TTC without the extra pills. Healthcare here makes me miss the NHS so much!

Omg it really is @SMD16! Those symptoms sound promising! Hopefully itโ€™s a snuggling bean rather than the little madam that is AF

SMD16 · 26/01/2022 18:12

Done the test, BFN so reckon it's AF on her way symptoms x

Newbiemg · 26/01/2022 18:14

Sorry to hear that @SMD16 were here for you Flowers

Im only 5DPO I think but I still have really bad cramps like low down I do feel like AF is coming already really early but have to wait and see. I wasnโ€™t totally sure on my cycle days so perhaps I calculated wrong but luteal phase should be atleast 10 days so if it does come soon I hope its a one off.

Thanks @Newbiemg like I said on last thread I wasn't expecting it this month with OH being unwell anyway. Here's to Feb ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

I hope AF isn't coming already for you!!

lakejupiter · 26/01/2022 18:21

Oooof sorry to hear @SMD16 and hope you can do something nice for yourself tonight โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

What's the progesterone trial @Pickles91 ? I can imagine you miss the NHS, though I'm finding endless waiting lists very disheartening (have PCOS and thyroid issues and insulin resistance, took 5 months to get a blood test and now on a long waiting list for endocrinology!) much better than the alternative but horrible when you have a ticking bio clock!

Pickles91 · 26/01/2022 18:43

Oh Iโ€™m sorry @SMD16. Hopefully you can treat yourself to a bit of a pamper evening.

Ooh 5dpo could be the beginnings of implantation @Newbiemg!?

@lakejupiter ah well I get pre-AF spotting. Sometimes for a couple of days and sometimes for a week. Iโ€™ve had it before and it was a cervical ectropian that was treated in the UK years ago, so pretty sure itโ€™s the same thing. But one of my consultants here is insistent on it being hormonal and told me to trial progesterone (even though my day 21 levels were absolutely fine). She hasnโ€™t even seen me for a physical exam! But I have been re-referred to a more proactive gynaecologist and have a physical next month. This has been going on since July 2020 ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I despair, honestly. The long wait lists sound like a nightmare!! Is that because of covid?? I donโ€™t remember that when I went through the NHS hoops before, but that may be because Iโ€™m looking at it all with rose-tinted glasses now ๐Ÿ˜‚

Pops100 · 26/01/2022 19:14

@Pickles91 thank you!! How are you going in your TWW?? My lh has dropped today I take it that's normal??

Pickles91 · 26/01/2022 19:54

Yes, perfectly normal @Pops100! My TWW is going ok! Apart from the symptom spotting, Iโ€™m feeling quite chill about whatever the result is. We are actually trying earlier than we planned so it takes a bit of the pressure off for a couple of months. Literally everyone has assumed weโ€™ll try immediately after the wedding vs before ๐Ÿ˜‚

Pops100 · 26/01/2022 20:35

Yeah it must be so hard with the symptom spotting!! Guess I'll find out soon ๐Ÿ˜‚ ooo yeah that's true! If you do fingers crossed get pregnant will you share it with everyone at the wedding?X

Sparklesurprise29 · 26/01/2022 21:08

I'll try and be strong everyone๐Ÿคž My plan is to wait until I'm at least 10 DPO, last time I got a BFP on CD25 (roughly 10 DPO) but my cycles were shorter!

Does anyone know if the predicted ovulation day is when the opk is peak or when it drops down again? I've just noticed my Glow and Clue apps have two different ov days...I've attached what I logged on glow๐Ÿค”

*The TWW States* ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚โ€ฆ. Here for positive vibes as we try to create new lives ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคžโ€ฆ (Ttc #1 and cycle 1 continued)
lakejupiter · 26/01/2022 21:36

@Sparklesurprise29 ovulation is 24-48 hours after your peak

Pops100 · 26/01/2022 23:47

This may be a silly question but say if I got pregnant and get a due date is there anyway or finding out /working out what day you actually conceived on if you've dtd all fertile days? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Pickles91 · 27/01/2022 00:10

Oh my gosh, could you imagine @Pops100?! Maybe then! Or with a honeymoon snap if a little bump exists by then ๐Ÿ˜ hahaha yes! It will be you on the symptom spotting next! I think the weirdest โ€˜symptomโ€™ that comes up on the bus should get a mention in the next title ๐Ÿ˜‚

On your other question, I donโ€™t think you could ever really know. Sperm can live up to 5 days so it really could have been any of your fertile days if you were getting ruffling up the bedsheets loads!

Yep, @Sparklesurprise29, as @lakejupiter mentioned, ovulation is typically a day or two after your peak, so perhaps yesterday or today!

Pops100 · 27/01/2022 00:21

@Pickles91 yes!! The honeymoon snap would be bloody adorable, I think for your wedding day it would be so lovely too.. I can't decide ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญbut would any of your friends / family ask questions to why you're not drinking on your day? Or could you be sneaky and give your drinks to your oh๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” .

Pops100 · 27/01/2022 00:22

@Pickles91 but to be fair when my cousin got married she was so busy chatting away bless her she didn't have time to have a drink at all, so I reckon you could get away with it!

Pickles91 · 27/01/2022 00:29

Everyone would ask questions @Pops100 ๐Ÿ˜‚ I am known to be partial to a glass of wine. Or three. Or fourโ€ฆ But we have options! Iโ€™ve definitely seen brides on both sides of the spectrum. Too busy to drink but then others being given loads from guests and ending up hammered ๐Ÿคฃ

Pops100 · 27/01/2022 00:56

@Pickles91 ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. Gottta love a few glass/bottle of red ๐Ÿคญ yeah that's true, I hope I'll be the better behaved one ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ how many dpo are you now?X

Pickles91 · 27/01/2022 01:06

Ooh are you getting married too @Pops100? Sorry if I missed it/forgot!! Iโ€™m 9dpo, so slowly crawling towards the TWW finishing line.

Any other upcoming weddings/civil ceremonies etc in the group??

SMD16 · 27/01/2022 07:56

Morning, that's me back to CD1. I'm joining the Feb crew ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

SMD16 · 27/01/2022 08:00

I got my days wrong yesterday too I was 12 DPO. That was my first full cycle after coming off contraception and it's ended up being a 25 day cycle.

@Pickles91 I'd just say that I wanted to remember the day fully and wasn't fussed about having a drink on the wedding day, it might work. But as soon as someone asks why your not drinking, no matter what reason you give they will always suspect pregnancy! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Newbiemg · 27/01/2022 10:20

@Pickles91 it could be implantation cramps I hope so! ๐Ÿคž but I just donโ€™t feel like itโ€™s my month. I know it sounds silly but I just donโ€™t feel pregnant lol you know sometimes you just get a strong feeling but trying to stay positive ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

@SMD16 I had a few shorter cycles when coming off the pill 24/25/26 days and then went to 30 days. Everything crossed for you for Feb ๐Ÿคžโœจ
