Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

I'm sure she'll still be around and you can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where a lot of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have a fabulous history of BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over and we need to keep it up...no slacking!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

June 2020 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs
Nov 7 BFPs

Thanks so much for the heads up @larrythelizard - gonna ask him to look into it - I wonder if you can book them way in advance because that might help relax me just to know it's on the cards

Sunbird24 · 19/02/2022 20:11

AF has turned up, 36 days after my ERPC so about average for me post-MC. I guess this week I’ll speak to my clinic about transferring my last embryos to somewhere nearer my new job. Not expecting test results for another 4 weeks yet!

BellatrixK · 19/02/2022 20:12

@polkadotpixie sorry about AF. Hope that you’re treating yourself with wine and chocolate? That’s good about the LP though. And excellent about the forms for the clinic.

@lakejupiter so sorry about the BFN. Hopefully it’s just a little early? I’ll be thinking of you this week.

@InkyPaper try to look after yourself as well as possible this week. As others have said, we’re all here if you need anything.

@Minster2012 so jealous of the snow. I’m near Manchester and we got none. We were up in Cumbria for the day and got some sleet, but I love proper snow!

@becarefuloutthere what an amazing due date!

polkadotpixie · 19/02/2022 20:32

@lakejupiter I've had a few pelvic ultrasounds, for both fertility and general gynae reasons and they've all been transvaginal. I was on CD3 for the last one and they were perfectly fine about it and made me feel really comfortable even though I was embarrassed

OP posts:
pennysays · 19/02/2022 22:52

@lakejupiter I had pelvic ultrasound over my pubis and lower belly area for fertility tests - arrived with semi full bladder. She was very vocal about what she could see - telling me which follicle was developing etc. that seemed to be enough. I had a transvaginal one to look at ovarian cysts many moons ago.

Somatronic · 19/02/2022 23:58

@lakejupiter I've had a million transvaginal scans. The first one is always a bit awkward but they're absolutely fine in my experience.

lakejupiter · 20/02/2022 00:28

Thanks @pennysays @Somatronic - hoping it won't feel too bad or anything but was mostly concerned about relying on my GP to interpret/explain results because he's awful and I haven't managed to switch surgeries yet. Hoping I get a vocal one like @pennysays and can find out how it looks in there ahead of next cycle!

lakejupiter · 20/02/2022 00:29

@polkadotpixie this is very reassuring thank you 😊

Dawnbird · 20/02/2022 02:48

Well, looking back over charts as I was transferring from my fitbit app to fertility friend for tempting, we've hit bang on timing-wise every cycle the past 6 months, even the last ridiculously long one (out of luck). So starting to worry something else is wrong. Even if my luteal phases are longer than typical, and hopefully temping this month will help show that we'd still have hit 3/5 day of or day before.

Time to suck it up and find time to talk to my GP I guess.

larrythelizard · 20/02/2022 09:15

That's good cycle is back @Sunbird24 and not even too long. I quite like the idea of the frosties moving house!

Definitely worth talking to them @Dawnbird my experience is that they were actually really nice about it - I expected them to be much more dismissive (especially as I have DS already)

Minster2012 · 20/02/2022 09:21

@pennysays I like the idea of a Vocal scanner!! Much better than when they are silent & you start to worry

@Dawnbird yeah might as well talk to the gp and see what you can check

@Sunbird24 I like @larrythelizard's thinking of the Frosties moving house 😂and yeah 36 days is good. Another 4 weeks for tests crikey that's long

@BellatrixK I'm East Yorkshire & we had loads but all snow gone here now which is very annoying as I was relying on it for entertaining DS today 😂

Juno231 · 20/02/2022 09:55

@Dawnbird how long are your luteal phases?

paintfairy · 20/02/2022 12:44

@lakejupiter I had a pelvic ultrasound at my GP (well, whoever they refer to) and they didn't really say too much when they did it. Its fine though, other than I always need a wee and hate holding it, it stresses me out. The vaginal ones seem awkward but once you've done a few you literally don't even think about it. 🤣 We have a good nurse at our GP and she did actually talk through my results when I saw her for something. Then I saw the Dr who was ok. Although the GP might seem useless they usually get sent a report so are only relaying it? Rather than deciding for themselves what's happening. What they then choose to do with it mind, is another matter.
SA - I don't think I've known anyone come back with low count. The issues are always all the other things unfortunately. We never had a huge wait getting it done but it definitely varies on where you are.

amy2503 · 20/02/2022 18:13

Hi guys, I know I've not been on here for a while. I'm really struggling with not getting pregnant and couldn't face much. but I'm back and here and trying to stay positive. I'm 4 days away from ovulation (hopefully!) so maybe it will be our month xx

JSS15 · 20/02/2022 18:20

Hi, hoping its ok to join mid way through bus route!

TTC number 1, just starting AF at the end of cycle 2 of actively trying with longer cycles. Could do with some company to keep me sane in the process - had a lovely BBT chart this cycle but obviously wasn't meant to be

Franklydear · 20/02/2022 18:56

@JSS15 this is a never ending bus, or it feels that way to me, welcome aboard, tell us your story please
@amy2503 welcome back, I feel the same but these ladies keep me on the straight and narrow, I am at the moment sort of trying mostly not preventing, giving up soon
Cm is shit this month and not telling me much, also having strange cramps, oh well, cd10, so we’ll go by dates I guess

amy2503 · 20/02/2022 19:01

@Franklydear I struggle to track cm in general but I might test ovulation this month maybe.
It's so hard but got to keep going x

Dawnbird · 20/02/2022 19:23

@Juno231I assumed 14 days, but I have had a few signs that could indicate longer. Hoping the charting clears it up.

@larrythelizard @Minster2012 thanks guys, I hate the idea of talking about this stuff to a near-stranger in person, but my GP is lovely and I'm sure it'll be fine.

Hi @amy2503. Hope this is your month!

Welcome @JSS15, it's a friendlyl bus!

JSS15 · 20/02/2022 20:11

@Franklydear @Dawnbird thanks ladies Smile

Not much to tell. Trying for number 1 and am 29, partner is 33. Had my copper coil out last summer because of irregular bleeding - it came out misshapen so presumed misplaced/moved which is the second time I’ve had that happen (first one had dropped down). Got married in Oct, NTNP that month, avoided using FAM in Nov because of my smear test (have needed a colposcopy in the past) and then have been actively trying since.

Just at the end of a 35 day cycle, my first full one of temping. Obviously disappointed but trying to be realistic - there’s been some male infertility in my family, so it’s a hard balance to think positive knowing how things do sometimes play out. I’ve got a bit of an obsessive personality and love a google/doomscroll so I’m hoping joining this can be my outlet instead Smile

Anyone got any advice for staying sane whilst waiting for next o date? It was CD23 this month!

Dawnbird · 20/02/2022 21:53

@JSS15 my cycles average out about 34 days, so I feel your pain. My solution is to just work too much... I only have one day off a week right now and time definitely passes faster that way. Keeping busy definitely helps.

bez91 · 21/02/2022 08:12

Checking in over here, life has been stupidly crazy these last few weeks!
Just looked back on that post @lakejupiter posted about the woman knowing she was having twins, she never commented back on the thread so maybe her prediction was wrong 🙄

@polkadotpixie argggh I don't know why people ask such questions especially at work. It's always a question my aunties, cousins etc ask each other but we're quite a close family so I don't mind so much. Hope you're ok 💕

@Somatronic wow your workmate sounds a creep, does he do that regularly?

@InkyPaper thinking of and routing for you and good idea with DH checking. TWWs are horrible but with ivf must add that extra element of shittyness TTC brings ❤️

Juno231 · 21/02/2022 08:56

@InkyPaper omggggggggggg

LoveQ · 21/02/2022 09:08

CD 20 today, I'm going to end up disappointed I'm sure, I've been getting too carried away at the thought of a baby 🤦🏻‍♀️ I've ended up symptom spotting too which I'm annoying myself with.

@JSS15 welcome on board 👋🏻

Vil10 · 21/02/2022 09:10

@Franklydear I can't find your page on Etsy🙁 I'll look on insta now!!

@polkadotpixie ohh ffs!! So sorry it wasn't your month, sending hugs x

@amy2503 welcome back x

@JSS15 welcome!! Hope this bus is a short ride for you x

@InkyPaper 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 (will wait for you to come on here)

amy2503 · 21/02/2022 09:20

This is going to sound so stupid. But does anyone struggle to track their CM when DTD regularly? I never know what is actually CM 🙈
