Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

@paintfairy thank you, and what a lot of cheering fans he’s got here, I am proud of him, I refused not to, but that sometimes has its problems, I joined a support group and only went once, it seems that I didn’t have enough struggles and the organiser said it was for people that needed support, I didn’t want to go to a place to moan about my child every week, but to get support for me, but that’s not what they’re about🤷🏼‍♀️ So not my crowd, we find support in the weirdest of places but on we go

Hi ladies

CD 2. We've beenTTC #4 (for me, #1 for DP) for 6 months now, and while we're so busy both running our own businesses it feels like it's flown by in some ways, it's also getting to that starting to drag feels like it's hopeless stage. Last cycle was 53 days, so that's just a whole 'nother headache. Hoping for no more of that nonsense. Being overweight & 10 years older sure does not make this journey any easier. At least I have more patience?

I have 3 boys, DS10 who lives with me and DP, and DS15 and DS12 who live with their dad in another city, though there's a lot of back and forth during holidays. DS10 is super excited about getting to be the big brother, but old enough to know it can take some time.

Embarassing story? When my oldest was 3, he snuck out of bed, around the back hall and out the door when I thought he was asleep. Didn't realise he was missing till a policeman brought him back. He'd coasted off down the drive, and down the road on a little ride-on truck, fortunately we lived right by the local fire station and they stopped him and must have contacted the police who got him to show them where he lived. Worst mother ever feeling.

@Dawnbird welcome. Oh that story😮 hi, I also have a boy 11, and being trying for #2 for over 2 years, can I ask how old you are? I am 44 so tick tock tick tock...

I'm nearly 33, so fortunately time is still on our side, at least for now. My mum started menopause in her early 40's though, so I'm pretty conscious of the clock ticking away too.

Kids are so sweet at this age! Fingers crossed something happens for you soon.

@pennysays thanks for checking in, still here but not much going on.
I had my first af seven after implant removal. CD14 today but opks very much negative, to be expected as I suspect pcos. Still waiting for the scan appointment to be sent through that I was referred for on 4th Jan!
Cycles were never regular before implants so I'm not expecting them to be now.
Lots of DTD and keeping fingers crossed! And lots of POAS because I seem to be addicted 🤦‍♀️

I love hearing you talk about your son @Franklydear. He sounds so caring and determined… I wonder where he gets that from?

@Sunbird24, a new start sounds perfect. Sorry for what you’ve been through. You sound extremely strong though and having the friends to support you in your new place will be perfect, I’m sure.

So, I had an unexpected win at the Drs today. I went about my migraines (had 2 in ten days, including one that was awful). Firstly, had a proper fit doctor. Secondly, he asked me about any triggers and I mentioned the BFN that day and the stresses of TTC and the fear of a miscarriage again. He said they can’t do tests for miscarriage until I’ve had three (I’ve had 2), but he can do blood tests for TTC. He assumed since I have been off the pill since Feb last year that we’ve been trying for a year and I wasn’t going to correct him (only since July!). So that was a brilliant outcome!

Is anyone due for testing soon? Sorry, I’ve lost track!

I'm 6dpo. Nothing to report here really. My temps are nice and high since 3dpo. Last month by this time I had already POAS and was symptom spotting and driving myself crazy thinking I could feel all sorts of things....this month I feel totally normal and a lot more relaxed! Just spent a few days with my sis and one year old niece and now holed up in the countryside working on a big project for a deadline next week so maybe thats helping. Temping combined with traumatic POAS addiction last month is helping me be chill though, telling myself that statistically I'm more likely to have a BFN than a BFP and that's normal.

Thanks @BellatrixK I have to say physically it may be much harder now, but mentally much more prepared. Financially much easier too... though that just means I have too much baby stuff stashed away already, as it's far too tempting to pass up a sale or anything adorable.

@lakejupiter chill is good! Keeping busy helps so much. We're entering our quiet period at work now, so I'm doubling down on the hobbies to keep me distracted.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and try temping this cycle. It sounds like a bit of a faff, but it'd be good to know what's going on, especially with cycles that aren't very predictable. 53 days is way too many, especially as after a half dozen BFN I was sure I wasn't preg by the last week of it.

@Dawnbird yes to the hobbies and distractions! I'm really warming to BBT - I've had such anxiety around fertility and it's really helping me to trust my body. And seems to be calming my urge to google things etc.....for now. That sounds like a really long cycle argh!

Yesterday my lovely boss tried to take one of my breaks away, the reason, I didn’t work enough hours, I knew that was wrong, but he said no, I was wrong, ok,so I checked with my union rep, of course I was right, as soon as I mentioned said rep, changed the tune, and that’s with having been ill for the last three months and having adaptations, although not everything I asked for
