Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

I'm sure she'll still be around and you can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where a lot of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have a fabulous history of BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over and we need to keep it up...no slacking!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

@paintfairy I was very impressed, I called the minute they open, only 1 call ahead of me, no appointments available but put me in the morning list as an emergency

InkyPaper · 31/01/2022 11:07

Thanks for support everyone 🥰 had my scan and blood test this morning, just waiting on the call this afternoon to see if tonight will be the night for the trigger shot. There are some concerns about OHSS still because of the number of follicles but only two are 17 and over (which I think is what they're looking for?), 20 are 11 and over and another 8 are between 8-11. So while the numbers sound good, they're not actually that good, from what I understand as the majority of them aren't big enough. So now I'm panicking about getting no eggs at all 🙃 so that's where I'm at right now. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Bundaberg84 · 31/01/2022 11:26

Approaching the 2WW. But I spend 4 nights in a wellness hotel so I'll have other things in mind right now :)

@InkyPaper fingers crossed! When do you know more?

@Franklydear feel better soon!

@Somatronic I'm the same. I just can't get up in the morning. Nothing wrong medically, other than a low blood pressure. But I could just sleep for DAYS in the morning. Always been that way, probably always stay that way.

@pennysays I won't test before AF is due either. We can both try to talk us down as soon as we get the POAS fever.

paintfairy · 31/01/2022 12:05

@InkyPaper as far as I know they don't wait for follicles to catch up and risk losing the leading ones. The under 11 should be ok (assuming they don't get to 15-16) in the respect of hopefully not adding to the OHSS issue. They might leave you one more day but i can't see them leaving it much longer. Be interesting to see what they say later!
@Franklydear oh that's good news! Fingers crossed.

lakejupiter · 31/01/2022 12:28

@paintfairy Yes it would be good to know for sure. Not because I'm gonna just abandon him and go have a baby with someone else/a sperm donor, but just so we can know whether home inseminations are a waste of time and we'd be better off moving to IUI/IVF. Or so that he can make some changes to improve the situation if possible: I told him he will feel better once he's done it but I don't think he believes me. I'm 37 this year and feeling very antsy about it!

@Franklydear chest infections are horrible - rest up!!

I echo everyone else re: toddlers and other people's children. I often feel a little bit impatient and irritable with other people's kids and hoping I feel differently about my own. My sister had a baby last year and I'm in love with her and never find her remotely annoying (extremely proud aunt!) so I'm hoping that continues and that I won't find my own kid super annoying 😅

Franklydear · 31/01/2022 12:31

@paintfairy different doctor, so wants to examine me before prescribing, I am going to blow his mind when I tell him about the small pharmacy I have at home, hope he reads my record, send appointment early afternoon, who says you can’t get appointments on a Monday!

Franklydear · 31/01/2022 12:39

@lakejupiter thanks, trying my hardest to do nothing,
I love ds and my nieces and nephews, most of them, some kids of special friends and that’s it, I think it’s the dna calling you, specially when you can see yourself in them

Minster2012 · 31/01/2022 13:05

@InkyPaper they might want to leave it another a day or so to see if they can get some of those 11 into the range?? But it's like guesswork for us all really 🤞🏻

Maybe you guys will be better than me as I often find my own child irritable and annoying & am impatient with him 😂we joke he saves his best behaviour for everyone else! But he's got much better recently ☺️to be fair like @Franklydear says it's prob the elements of me in him that's the annoying bits tbh 😊

InkyPaper · 31/01/2022 14:34

@Minster2012 you were right, they want to leave me on meds a bit longer. The tbc trigger shot day is now Wednesday

@Bundaberg84 the way they work it is that you have scans and bloods in the morning and they review and call you in the afternoon with next steps. So luckily it's not too long to wait!

Franklydear · 31/01/2022 14:41

Good news, nothing bacterial, just to keep an eye and rest, no yo the heavy meds yet

becarefuloutthere · 31/01/2022 16:12

@Franklydear I'm glad you have a clean bill of health! X

Franklydear · 31/01/2022 16:27

@becarefuloutthere well, clean lungs at least, off work for a bit though

Minster2012 · 31/01/2022 16:44

@InkyPaper so another scan weds too 👌🏻I thought they might

@Franklydear pleased they say it's ok

paintfairy · 31/01/2022 17:51

@Franklydear good news!
@InkyPaper exciting times. 🤞 for Wednesday.
@lakejupiter yeah ivf packages are cheaper if you manage to do it before certain ages, plus egg quality is deteriorating. So the earlier the better if you find you need to go that way. The stats also drop massively after 35 and keep dropping. Having said that i was 38 (39 now). But it's not ideal.

lakejupiter · 31/01/2022 18:15

@paintfairy I know - have been trying to have a baby since I was 29 (first with fiancé then alone) and have aged out of various fertility options along the way. Breakups at 30 are fuckers for fertility plans! Covid also helped slow things down - was hoping to be able to egg share but covid then turning 35 sort of ended that plan. Then met coparent but needed to spend two years with each other before going ahead and turned 36 during that time - the clock ticking feeling is and has been real. On the other hand my mum and aunt had babies in their mid-40s but aware that they are probably anomalies and with my health history it's probably going to be more complicated. I probably could have started sooner with a sperm donor but I went the coparenting route which is more fun but takes longer. I hope he will go for more tests soon but I fear that more nagging is on my horizon...

Franklydear · 31/01/2022 18:36

@lakejupiter my opinion, coparenting is better, nothing wrong to have a baby alone, but better with two parents

Franklydear · 31/01/2022 18:40

Covid app tells me I’ve had a close contact, do tell where please, not been anywhere other than work since I got covid in November

BellatrixK · 31/01/2022 20:01

@Franklydear glad that the doctors are looking after you, and glad that you’ve got some time to recover. Not sure on the close contact, seems impossible?!

@lakejupiter I imagine the waiting and balancing of time is really difficult. I think co-parenting sounds brilliant though, and you sound like a great team. I feel like time is ticking too, but I think that’s also when I want something, I’m not so good at patience! I’m beginning to think that nagging men is a natural part of life, and generally they are more relaxed about most things.

@InkyPaper glad that things are progressing. I’m sorry, I don’t know much about ivf, but the numbers seem promising? I imagine it’s easy to worry about worse case scenarios? It’s nice to have such a wealth of advice here.

InkyPaper · 31/01/2022 21:34

@Franklydear glad it's not an infection! Hope you feel loads better soon

@Minster2012 yeah you were totally right! They've done a bit of a medication switcheroo too as now they want my trigger shot to be buserelin instead to lessen the OHSS risk apparently.

@paintfairy thanks!

@BellatrixK thanks lovely! Yeah, it's so nice the spread of knowledge on this bus, it makes things much easier - especially as it's so, so easy to think of worst case scenarios!

@lakejupiter here's hoping your coparent goes to get his testing done soon!

feliznavidad2 · 31/01/2022 21:36

@Franklydear

Covid app tells me I’ve had a close contact, do tell where please, not been anywhere other than work since I got covid in November
Hate to say it but at the GP surgery? 🙈
Franklydear · 01/02/2022 03:42

@feliznavidad2 no, seems to have been last Friday, the bus is the only place I’ve been more than 15 minutes, other than the office....

Franklydear · 01/02/2022 03:42

I don’t even shop in person, not lately anyway....

lakejupiter · 01/02/2022 06:58

@Franklydear noooo! This happened to me when I had already been self isolating for a week (waiting for PCR results after a close contact then decided to just isolate before Christmas because I didn't want to spend it alone with covid). I literally hadn't left my house so I ignored it! And thanks re: coparent. God bless single parents but I'm happy to have found someone to go on this adventure with.

@BellatrixK heh same re: impatience - I'm a very all or nothing person with an addictive personality - absolutely zero chill once I've committed to something! And the age/ticking clock factor feeds into it I think.

@InkyPaper fingers Xed for your follicles!

Franklydear · 01/02/2022 07:03

@lakejupiter me too, for me now or never means right this second
I live near a school, I imagine a positive parent sitting in the car outside my house for 15 min,😂 I am boosted so no action to take just a bit hmmm, if I got pinged a couple of times, imagine the people that go out and about normally

lakejupiter · 01/02/2022 07:06

Yes I live in a city centre @Franklydear & blamed it on heavy pre Xmas footfall - someone just lingered near my front door for too long 😂 and yeah if you're boosted and not going anywhere anyway not much to be done!

So hard to reconcile that NOW OR NEVER mindset with monthly cycles 😭
