Preparing to TTC in 2022

DH has agreed to starting to TTC baby #3 in April/May. We already have a 2 daughters (age 4 and 2). I'm so excited to start trying! I think it's going to be a long wait until we can start actively trying!

Starting to think about things to do to help prepare my body. I'm currently on the progesterone only pill so thinking of when to stop it. I have 5 days left in this packet and then one packet left after that in my current prescription. Don't know whether to stop when I finishes this packet or at the end of Jan after my next packet. Any experiences of how long it takes cycle to regulate after the pill?

I need to try and eat healthier as I've been so bad recently with Christmas but I'm a healthy weight so not too worried there. Also ordered some TTC vitamins which I remember from previous pregnancies is good to take 3 months before TTC.

Anything else I could do? Is there anyone else who will be starting to try later in the year and so excited that you're already on here 🙈?

Also has anyone ever had really highlighter colour wee from preconception vits? I’ve had it for the first time today

May for #1 for me! I’ll be 33 by then.

Can’t remember who was talking about running a page or so back (sorry!) but I think it’s just that overtraining can cause anovulatory cycles and distance runners are more prone to it especially as they’re more likely to be underweight?

@NarnieJoy I know what you mean with it not feeling real. My husband & I have been together for 17 years and it was always my dream to be a mum but work & excuses took over. We're finally at the point now, we have a house, we've paid debts off so no excuses now. I still can't believe that fingers crossed this year is our year! x

Not too long now and it'll start getting really exciting 🎊

If we're doing ages I'll be 34 by the time we hopefully fall pregnant 😭😭

@hevann wishing you so well this year ! having a group like this is so lovely at this point, because I am personally not telling anyone our plans for TTC this year because I’d like to surprise family/not have lots of expectations on me - but then to have a non-judgemental and safe place to be excited here!

@NarnieJoy that's exactly why I was so happy the find this thread. We're not telling anyone we're ttc and it'll be nice to have others to talk about it with when my partners eyes glaze over 😅

I have got absolutely shocking stomach cramps today a lot worse than I had yesterday hopefully the start of my withdrawal. x
