Preparing to TTC in 2022

DH has agreed to starting to TTC baby #3 in April/May. We already have a 2 daughters (age 4 and 2). I'm so excited to start trying! I think it's going to be a long wait until we can start actively trying!

Starting to think about things to do to help prepare my body. I'm currently on the progesterone only pill so thinking of when to stop it. I have 5 days left in this packet and then one packet left after that in my current prescription. Don't know whether to stop when I finishes this packet or at the end of Jan after my next packet. Any experiences of how long it takes cycle to regulate after the pill?

I need to try and eat healthier as I've been so bad recently with Christmas but I'm a healthy weight so not too worried there. Also ordered some TTC vitamins which I remember from previous pregnancies is good to take 3 months before TTC.

Anything else I could do? Is there anyone else who will be starting to try later in the year and so excited that you're already on here 🙈?

@OMC19 Hey, thanks for welcoming me! he has a final medical exam of his career coming up in June and I think he just wants to be sure he has passed to emotionally/financially feel like he's in a good position. Which I know we would be without, but I am happy to support his decision.

@Dreamingof3 thanks, I think I will just keep exercising to keep my body tip top and start taking vitamins!

In response to those waiting for their first bleed after the pill, I waited one day for the post pill bleed and then another 37 days for first real period.

Just ordered ovulation strips today, I’ll be tracking from cycle 1 like I did last time - very luckily we conceived on the first cycle last time, so it’s superstition more than anything!

Blood sugars have been pretty good lately so feeling we are on track to start cycle 1 in March 🤞🏻

@NarnieJoy welcome! As dreaming said you're not too far behind most of us. There's quite a few not starting TTC until spring/summer. I'll probably be starting in May.

@Lifeisnteasy I think you'll be one of the first, if it's as quick as it was last time for you (fingers crossed it is!). I think most of the group are starting in April onwards so will be aiming for 2023 babies. Although I may be wrong as the group is so big now I can't keep track

Me and my OH have decided to finally TTC late this year (after May when we have a friends wedding!)

I currently have a coil so was thinking of getting this removed April (at least then if somehow we conceive straight away it won’t be obvious is a bridesmaid dress!)

It will be our first human baby (we have fur babies already haha!)

With the post limit on threads perhaps we can devise a list of names and when we intend to ttc for the first post of the next thread?
