Anyone due to get BFP/AF at Xmas?

The pressure is on... in the TWW and AF is due right around Xmas. Spending the holidays with my in laws, and both wanting to drink through the holidays/not drink as in the TWW. I’m also dreading a little bit of feeling down if I get AF right at Xmas. If anyone is looking for a TWW companion/obsessor here I am ☺️. I got my BFP with DS on Christmas day 12 years ago! We don't celebrate but had BIL and family over, so they heard first. That explained why I'd been so bloody exhausted for weeks!

@TheBirdintheCave I am concerned mine is fading... I’m a Brit in the USA so I’m currently waiting outside a pharmacy for it to open in 6FT of snow like a lunatic so I can test again. Someone needs to slap some sense into me. Did you start bleeding? Or was it just the line causing you to think that?

@TheBirdintheCave sorry I see now you said you were spotting... hope you’re doing ok. I’m a little like you in that my husband would more likely be the issue, he had some weird tube thing as a child and was told not to expect children. We thought our daughter was a complete miracle/surprise. I keep trying to tell myself that even if this one doesn’t take, the fact it can is what matters

Hoping I can join 🥰 I'm due to test tomorrow and I am soooo anxious for it 🙈 i don't want to see a blank stick looking back at me! We did it on ovulation day, 3 days in a row before and the day after so hoping we have done enough 🤞 I've had no symptoms in tww so hopefully that doesn't mean it is a no...

@frenchie4002 - yes we’re in it together for the last stretch! My day has been like a typical Boxing Day I guess - leftovers, movies, and a family walk in the cold!! I don’t have any children yet (except the early MC a couple of months ago) l, but luckily I have a sibling with children so Christmas is magical with them! How about yours? I am dreading testing tomorrow…

We dtd on the 2 days leading up to ovulation day, and ov day itself (according to OvuSense skin monitor), although then my Natural Cycles app later moved my ovulation day to 2 days later than it originally said, which is a bit frustrating, so who knows what our chances are.

@i123i I'm glad you had a nice day - helps keep your mind off things when you're around people! Best of luck testing tomorrow. Will you be using a frer? I'm going to hold out and see if af appears as predicted on the 29th and go from there I think - can't take seeing any more soul destroying stark white negatives! Was busy today with family & have a few bits and bobs to do tomorrow then wedding anniversary 28th so should be ok! Let me know how you get on.

@i123i thanks so much, this actually did make me feel better. I went to a pharmacy which only had very basic cheap tests left, did one today and it came out negative, but then it was very blurry and the control didn’t work. Had a complete meltdown and cried on my husband. Got to my in laws and did a second one which was a strong positive within 30 seconds. I’m an emotional mess right now. Going to call my dr tomorrow and try get an early hcg test if they will do it. Fingers crossed bc I’m going to be a wreck until 8 weeks otherwise. Knowing so early is both great and bad 😂. Hope everyone else is holding up ok!

Oh @madeleine85 how stressful and confusing for you! Hope you manage to get some answers from your doc, keeping my fingers crossed for you. I’m not going to test again until Tuesday and hoping for a much darker line so we’ll see. Will keep everyone posted x

Out of curiosity, Has anyone ever had pink tinged Cm but AF didn't show?
Dtd today and had this after and thought it would bring on AF but it has disappeared again 🤔

@AmberRH1993 pink tinged spotting could be implantation bleeding which can carry on for a day or two. Read up on it. Hopefully it is! When will you test?

@pennysays most probably hold off testing until Tuesday fmu - unless AF doesn't show before that. With DS I had implantation but it was more brown cm on AF due day then disappeared whereas this was pink... I will look into it - thank you

Congratulations everyone on the BFP and good luck for the next cycle everyone who got AF! Anyone else in the strange in between still? AF not shown and pregnancy tests have either been negative or slight faint line. (One two but probably evaps) have some FRER due Tuesday so fingers crossed AF hasn’t shown by then 🤞🏻

@CookMeANumber3 yes... AF was due today but only some pink spotting so far. When is/was AF due for you?

@AmberRH1993 due on yesterday so recline positives would be obvious by now. Some spotting could be implantation, fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

It's a negative! Here's to month 5!

I'm four days late - got BFNs when I tested around 10dpo, but stupidly ran out of tests just in time for Xmas

Waiting for Amazon to come with the goods.

@EishetChayil I’ve also ran out of tests so can’t check if I’ve had any line progression until Amazon turn up. Hoping to do a CB digi tomorrow and again next week if I get that far x

Had a faint positive (8dpo) a few days ago but AF showed up on Christmas Day! 6 days early. So strange. So there’s me out. Never had two periods in one month, maybe I didn’t even ovulate.

@Verysadperson101 was it a full period or perhaps implantation?

I’m still spotting, sometimes pink sometimes brown though it seems a little heavier than yesterday. We’re going to pick up some more FRERs in a minute and then I’ll take one tonight or tomorrow morning if AF still hasn’t started. I don’t think it’s looking promising though.[/quote]
