@Brunette1989 I feel you! I'm 10DPO today. BFN on FRER, strong line on ovulation test though. Woken up this morning to brown blood when wiping.
I'm driving myself bananas!

I’m not sure when you dtd (and whether everyone else already knows the following info and it was just news to me!) but the highest chances of conceiving occur when you BD 1, 2 or 3 days before ovulation (1 in 3 chance of conception if you have EWCM then too), then it’s down to slightly less than a 1 in 5 chance of conception from BD’ing the day of ovulation. (I accidentally ended up reading an academic paper on likelihood of conception by day when combined with a woman having EWCM at the time…). So if you dtd even 3 days before ovulating then you’re all good! In fact you have a much higher chance of conceiving then if you dtd on ovulation day! Hope this is helpful in making you feel more hopeful xx

@aesgriff it's horrible isn't its just drives you crazy trying to work it all out. I've been doing ovulation tests when I was working out my dates this month but got so confused, I was just putting it all in an app. What's a strong line on an ovulation test mean? Again sorry if I sound stupid I should know all this by now really lol xx

Hi, I'm rejoining from the Dec thread, hope that's OK? I got my bfp at the start of dec but unfortunately it was ectopic and I had surgery on hogmanay, so I start the new year having lost a baby and a tube 😭 but Dr says I can start trying right away. Not sure what this will have done to my cycle tho.

@Natalie2304 I ovulated a full week late this time because I had a cold. My body even started making EWCM when I expected it to, then was like ‘oh wait, you have a cold… hang on’, stopped producing EWCM until a week later when it deemed me well enough to ovulate, started up EWCM production again and then I ovulated! Very clever, but also glad I was using the clear blue ovulation stick thingies as I would have thought I’d already ovulated when I hadn’t yet… thanks to those sticks alerting me I now have my bfp…

Just checking in, been a rough few days. New Year's Eve was especially overwhelming and tearful. It's so hard watching OH so upset. Still no date for funeral.

Ive cracked on with doing opks. Oh didn't want to not try this month as he's potentially back at sea for three months in February. Which kinda makes it certain we won't have a 2022 baby which makes me a little bit sad. But it is what it is.

Morning ladies! Well not overly confident this month only managed to dtd once in my fertile window as DP has been ill and then done his leg and back in. Managed a few a few days just before my fertile window so hopefully a miracle will happen. 3dpo today according to my app (6dpo if I ovulated when I think I actually ovulated) so fingers crossed 🤞

Af is due today at 10dpo (short luteal phase) but no sign as yet. No bloating or anything. Had strong cramps at 7dpo where I thought it was imminent but nothing arrived. Have a bit of milky white cm but not sure what that means. Can't decide if I occasionally feel a little nauseous but it's probably just in my head 🤣

Need some advice. Flashing smiley yesterday, DTD last night. Static this morning so guessing O will be later today or tomorrow.

DH doesn't have the stamina he once did thanks to some medication.

So do I pester him tonight or wait for tomorrow? I don't think it'll happen both nights as 3 in a row just not likely. So need to pick! Worried if I don't pester tonight then tomorrow doesn't happen then I'll totally miss it. But also if we do DTD tonight it could be too early 🤔 Help!

@Purple29 I'm so sorry to hear your news, what an awful thing to happen, sending lots of healing vibes your way. My friend lost a tube to an ectopic too and has gone on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy, fingers crossed for you it'll happen soon. I was in the same ttc Dec group as you and was trying to remember your recommended BD timing that you spoke about. Was it day 8, 10, 12 and 14?

Purple, I have been thinking of you this month and wondering how you were getting on, as we were talking about ‘the Purple method’ on another thread as some posters are going to give it a go. I am so sorry you have had an ectopic and had to have surgery and I am sending you a massive hug. I hope this new year is a happy and healthy fresh start for you xx

@BabyBird20 cross post! It’s not quite that but I will let @Purple29 explain her method! I was actually going to do it this month but when I realised ovulation was during the week we both had off work we just decided to have as much sex as possible instead, I’m thinking of it as an experiment!

If it didn’t work then we’ll be doing the Purple Method in January 💜

Morning test was so faint, was barely able to see it. I took one around lunch, quite pale urine, different brand and it showed something. I don't know what to think about it. 🙄

@BabyBird20 thanks. It's nice to hear positive outcomes after this. The days I got told were days 7, 11, 13 and 15. For a 28 day cycle.

Ok so I will explain what the dr said to me again. So we had been trying for 2 years with nothing!!! He told me to stop peeing on sticks and as my cycle was a regular 28 days that we should BD on day 7, more just to empty DH of any older swimmers, then nothing, especially him until day 11. This would give some time for some healthy swimmers to build and leave them lying in wait... day 13 to catch the day before OV and day 15 incase I OV late.

It should be adjusted depending on your cycle so if 30 days then days 9, 13, 15 and 17. I was pregnant after 2 months with our DS. We tried it again this time and again 2 months it had worked. My friend had been trying for months adjustedto her 32 day cycle and 1 month later she was pregnant. Its not a guarantee but he was a fertility specialist.

I ovulate on day 13 so I would do day 6, 10, 12 and 14 using Purple’s method

@mightbeyesmightbeno I'd probably go for today just in case you do ovulate later today, sperm lives for a few days so if you ovulate tomorrow you should still have some swimmers in there
