@ttcbabya I got a bfn yesterday. Thought I'd check as it was nye even though I was only 8dpo! Af due tomorrow due to short luteal phase but now waiting for af. No tests left anyway! Good luck with your waiting.

Thanks I’ll give it a go on cycle 11 think it’ll be too late for this cycle now!

@Hopingforarainbow27 it was really like a normal cycle for me to be honest. Dried up straight after FW, was a little more after that. I found the cycle before I got a lot of CM the day before my AF was due, which is a sign it is coming for me, and that didn't appear. Since the BFP, it is on/off thicker and more yellow. So basically it continues to be a confusing sign. Good luck!

@TotoAnnihiliation I had cramping DPO 3-7, really bad on 4-5, and a ton of stabbing nipple pain day 8-9. The boob pain was the give away. I've never had that before, and it was like inital breastfeeding pain. I also cramped a lot of my AF due date. Good luck!

@CJB92 Hope you are ok. I've never been in your situtation yet so I don't want to give bad advice. Did you call your doctor? That sounds very stressful. It is entirely possible to bleed in early pregnancy and be fine, but unusual for it to be heavy. Ovulation tests pick up HCG in place of LH when it is high enough quantities, so that is why it is coming up there.

Does anyone know what ovulation pain feels like? I felt like a slight crampy sensation in my back but it's away now but just wondering what that could be as my static smiley was Wednesday?

@Miniadventurer I normally only do opk once a day but CD16 today and normal O by cd15/16 so would of had static smilie by now. For some reason I decided to opk again tonight and got a static smilie so definitely worth testing twice a day xx

@Moonshine160 can so relate my DD sleeps so late I am trying everything, currently in my prime mating season for this month and hardly finding time and energy for DTD lol. DD was also conceived first cycle as was my miscarried pregnancy so i can relate to feeling like it will never happen. Hopefully this year will be a good one!

I wonder if anyone could educate me on OPKs from my understanding your luteal phase is always the same? So if my period date doesn’t change so it is always every 28 days then why did my ovulation change on the two cycles i tried testing daily? Does this mean they aren’t accurate.
I am wondering because my second pregnancy i didn’t do the deed in my FW and got pregnant unexpectedly.

@Hopingforarainbow27 I am curious too about what women feel like to know they are ovulating I can never tell myself but feel like i could end up attributing every symptom to it if I try to pinpoint it

@RosyappleA welcome to the journey 2nd time around! So ovulation is split into 2 phases, the follicular (pre ovulation) and luteal (post ovulation). The follicular can vary in length, mainly due to sickness, stress etc. the luteal generally doesn’t move by more than a day. A cycle doesn’t have to be 28 days split 14/14. For example mine is 30 ish days split 20 follicular 10 luteal. Before my daughter I had no idea that this was my timing, but now it makes a lot of sense. When ttc #2 I used the Premom app and easy at home opk sticks for ovulation which I really liked. I had no signs of ovulation pre daughter but it was very obvious after her. I’d say 3-5 days pre ovulation I started to notice the more watery ewcm pop up. A day before ovulation I had mild cramping in my lower back like very very early labour pains. Then I knew ovulation was coming. It feels (to me) like mild period pains, but specifically in one side on the inside of my hip bone with mild back cramps. For the next week or so I’d feel little twinges as if the egg was irritating my tubes as it moved down. Again, before my daughter I didn’t get as much as PMS, so it was really strange to feel it all this time TTC. Hope your journey goes well/that helps!

@Hopingforarainbow27 I get mild lower back cramps at ovulation, so if it came a couple of days after your static smiley I would say that's it!

@Hopingforarainbow27 That sounds like it could be ovulation. A few of my friends get similar sounding symptoms to you around that time. I get a sharp pain that lasts two seconds and then some cramping, usually on the side I ovulated from. I don't always get this though. And I don't use OPK's (yet!).

13 days left until AF. Or 5days until spotting in my luteal phase starts!

Does anyone else spot in their luteal phase?

Same @HelloNope - I used to get a sharp pain for a second or two on the side that I ovulated from (confirmed when I had a scan at 10 weeks last time - They told me that I ovulated from my left ovary and I was like ‘Yep - felt that!’ 🤓) and nowadays (post having DD) I get a strong cramp, a bit like if you have a bad stomach and really need to get to the loo asap! Slightly disappointed that I don’t know which side provided this little bean this time 😄

I've finally got a positive OPK today but I'm on CD18 and usually only have a 27 day cycle and ovulate around CD15. I've had my covid booster on CD5 and then had covid for the week after so don't know if that is what has messed up my ovulation. Feeling a bit deflated as this seems really late to ovulate as would only have an 8 day LP 😒

I'm usually so regular but the last 2 cycles have just been messed up! It's so stressful!

@Natalie2304 I hope you're feeling better after covid, that could have delayed your ovulation, but I would have thought your luteal phase could be the same length as normal it would just make your af come a bit later as ovulation was late? I'm no expert though!

Help please! I woke up this morning with a slight lower back pain (I suffer with my back anyway so not really anything new), and then a bit of period time cramps. Went to the toilet and when wiped (sorry for tmi) there was blood. Not masses of it but enough. I'm not due on till the 8th, I miscarried in June and it was traumatic so any sign of blood when it shouldn't be there is frightening for me.
I'm not sure what to think? 😔😭 xx

@HelloNope @ThePodParent @Sassy144 thank you! So that would be 3 days after the static smiley? So now I'm worried I didn't dtd close enough? The last time we dtd was third cos I thought that would be enough but if I ovulated last night then maybe not?
Oh I hate all these unknowns!!

@Natalie2304 I hope you're feeling better after having covid! Your luteal phase is usually the same length give or take a day or so. So if you ovulate later, your cycle would last a little longer. This happens to me, and based on when I ovulate I can predict my cycle length which varies between 27-31 days

My GP is shut over this bank holiday but if I still get a BFP when they open I will call them. This morning I had another BFP on pink dye co-op test and came up straight away,but again BFN on IC and even fainter BFP on sainsburys, that it's questionable. The bleeding has died down now but I dont understand how I could have blood levels of

@Brunette1989 sorry to hear about your MC. I can understand why you'd be anxious. By the sounds and timing of what you're describing, sounds like it could be IB? xx
