I think I broke DH! Ovulation predicted today ... dtd... 'it' wouldn't stay up.. this has never happened before. He's omlt in his 20s. He felt terrible and I could tell he was embarrassed but I feel so guilty. Even though he was a willing participant and initiated, I wonder if he feels too under pressure and it's causing problems. We dtd the last 2 days so I just hope that's enough

Aw so sorry @Nico89. They can feel the pressure, my DH feels like that in between too and we’ve had to do all sorts to keep ‘it’ up. 2 days dtd is good 🤞🏻 Xx

@Nico89 the same thing happened to me on Tuesday 🙈 I've been with my DP for 10 years and first time it ever happened aswell, well he could get it up but couldn't finish TMI sorry, I think it's the pressure he wanted me to tell him when I'm ovulating but I told him I won't next month so he's not under pressure

@Nico89 the pressue on both of us is insane. With DD we were once a week DTD. With this time trying 1st cycle was badly timed, 2nd I went by the app which was wrong by a week, by the time actual O came my husband complied but was very over it. We had a talk and promised every other day. The successful cycle this time we DTD 3 days before, 1 day before and 1 day after O. I felt better about that when using a menstrual cup to keep the swimmers in. Hope he has recovered lol.

@madeleine85 I've used the menstrual cup method this cycle too ( messy!?)
So hoping that will help.

@DancinOnTheCeiling We both work nights so he may have just been super tired. I don't want to have to resort to additional help and make him feel inadequate, I just hope it's not going to play on his mind and make the situation worse.

@arianasky I think its sometimes easy to forget that it's stressful for them too, being expecting to perform under pressure. I think we often view men as ready to go whenever and play their part and thats it while we chart and temp and stress, but it must be an immense weight to bear for them too.

DS tested positive for covid today poor soul isolating in his room

I agree there is so much pressure @arianasky @Nico89 @madeleine85. We have had a few cycles where my DH really felt under pressure too. This cycle was the first where he was more relaxed/humorous AND also seemed to grasp the importance of the fertile window a bit better. We managed to dtd lots but two times (TMI alert) he was so knackered, he basically went to the spare room to do whatever he needed to do (including visual materials) and then sprinted back to our bedroom to deposit his swimmers hahaha 🤣😂🤣. How desperate are we? But it was all kind of humorous so I loved that he was able to openly say about feeling pressure but then we found a funny solution (in previous cycles he just became quiet/frustrated). Still smiling when I think about it 😂😂; he’d kill me if he knew I’m posting this!

Today was supposed to be the first day of my 5 day fertility window before ovulation. Usually I'm on point but using my clear blue OPK I got the empty circle. DH dtd anyway and used the paraben free version of pre-seed called " baby dance" it was defo a mood killer reaching for that tube and trying to figure out how to use the applicator but we figured it out anyway 😂a bit worried about ovulation this month though. We shall see what happens tomorrow with OPK. I've started keeping my BBT this month so hopefully I can see some progress with that too.

@contagioushippie something similar happened to me this month too. I've attached a picture. I kept getting empty smileys and only one high smiley before my peak. Strange cycle and it doesn't help that I didn't dtd much!

@DancinOnTheCeiling thanks lovely!! Luckily I hadn’t gotten my hopes up after falling so sick afterwards and missing a lot of opportunity.
But it was better than torturing myself with tests etc…
Full steam into Jan though and feeling positive!

@Moonshine160 honestly the thrush really affected things for me, it was far too painful most of the time. Multi-gyn flora plus has really helped me, I found out about it on a thread here and that’s after trying everything including endless courses of fluconazole.

I had a long cycle last cycle, extra 4 days. I suspect due to having covid mid cycle.
I’m currently day 6, fertile week should be in about 4-5days. Need to get some OPKs from Amazon. My period also this month was very very short. Heavy for 2days, then minimal minimal amount for a day.

The week leading up to Christmas was extremely busy with work and getting the house ready so I had little time and energy to DTD, we managed last night which is when I got positive OPKs though it’s got slightly darker this morning so I’m assuming the O day is tomorrow ( although I did feel a very strong left sided pain this morning so I’m sort of thinking I’ve ovulated today - will see if my temp confirms it).

I’ll add myself to the calendar to tests at before AF is due, not sure how many DPO yet
