Can I ask if any of you take folate/folic acid? If so how much? I'm just realising mine is 0.4mg I've been taking when midwife has advised me 5mg!!!!

@Hopingforarainbow27 I take 5mg - prescription from GP due to weight / age. 400mcg is the normal amount that you get in pregnancy vitamins x

Done a test and BFN so was definitely just a dodgy AF. Hopefully I'll get lucky this cycle!

I’m the same @Hopingforarainbow27, also 5mg due to age/health problems/weight. Your GP will prescribe it for you. I also managed to get it online (5mg pill box) before I had my GP prescription, I just googled it

@DancinOnTheCeiling @mightbeyesmightbeno I had bloods done due to my miscarriages and they were normal but the letter said take 5mg and1000 of vitamin d and start on progesterone as soon as I get a bfp. My bmi is normal so I'm not sure. Maybe she thinks it might help prevent miscarriage and it just telling me to try everything. I hate this journey :(

Hello, CD1 today. Absolutely gutted, I was really hoping it would have been my month and I didn't have to pass my miscarriage due date and not be pregnant. But here we are. If my cycle goes as usual I imagine I'll start testing on the 16th which will be 10dpo. OH is going away for a week on the 9th so we should just about be OK to catch ovulation providing it comes on time which is usually day 15/16 🤞.

@DancinOnTheCeiling I feel okay, didn't think I was but then got a little hopeful again as DP isn't the kind to comment on something like that unless he definitely thinks it's possible kind of thing, but I'm okay overall.

@Shabz22 CD1 is so horrible, sorry that you didn’t get your BFP this month! Onto the next, I hope this month brings you some happy news! I hope your OH is around in your FW so you get to DTD!

Good luck everyone! I’m going to try not to obsess and check these threads as much of the next few days over Christmas so wanted to say merry Christmas to you all! Hope those of you who are heading into your FW get to DTD lots over Christmas and hopefully Christmas will bring a much needed distraction for this of us already in the TWW!

I ovulated yesterday I think (Thursday). Only managed to successfully dtd on Sunday and Tuesday despite other attempts closer to ovulation. Family staying and too much alcohol has not helped us at all this month! Trying to remain optimistic as Tuesday is certainly close enough but feeling a little disappointed from missed opportunities. It's silly because a slightly later due date that early September would be better in terms of our family but once you start trying, it's all you can think of!

Happy Christmas Eve all… AF vanished as quick as she came! So started my ovulation testing from today this time!
Not due to ovulate until 6th Jan.
But it’s nice to start running into it over this Christmas break. Time off work may be in our favour.

I think I broke DH! Ovulation predicted today ... dtd... 'it' wouldn't stay up.. this has never happened before. He's omlt in his 20s. He felt terrible and I could tell he was embarrassed but I feel so guilty. Even though he was a willing participant and initiated, I wonder if he feels too under pressure and it's causing problems. We dtd the last 2 days so I just hope that's enough

I’m so sorry about miscarriages @Hopingforarainbow27 😢😢. So unfair and sad 💔. Hm, if it was in your letter I would take the 5mg if I were you. I took 5mg folic acid with dd; she’s 2 now and perfectly healthy/happy. Sending love, baby dust and 🤞🏻🤞🏻Xx
