Wow that last bus was an amazing bumper BFP filled bus where we were all crying and screaming for joy as lots of our lovely passengers got their BFPs…🙌🏻we are having an ADVENT CALENDAR of a BFP each day! 🥰❤️

There’s still some ppl lingering on this bus so that’s it, I’m calling time, all the rest of you are due off this bus with your 2 lines please 🤞🏻

This is the bus where we’ve got lots of things going on, bumps, rainbows 🌈, ivf, and now lots more miracle BFPs before ivf! Maybe we should issue passengers with an ivf referral on your way in too to help spur those eggs & sperm into action!

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

Could be the vitamins, could be just an annoying body @polkadotpixie. If temp continues to rise I'd probably test?

It's so awkward isn't it @paintfairy - it's like hi everyone I've had sex!!

@MrsBiddy that sounds good to be getting bloods and stuff- others much better at these things than me!

@Juno231 wow that sounds heavy!!

Deffo no shelf life for you @Franklydear - can't you usurp our idiot boss and be the boss?!

Franklydear · 29/12/2021 18:56

@larrythelizard this business is so messed up that they couldn't pay me to be the boss, I could have for years but the pay difference is hardly any and you have to be a proper brown nose without a life to compensate with bonuses, a friend of mine is a boss and she makes decent money but answering urgent emails at 11 at night on a Sunday is not for me, but she's single and a workaholic,
The shelf life I mean in terms of maternity, I don't have many years left, let's face it

paintfairy · 29/12/2021 21:56

@polkadotpixie vitamins do make a difference to some people.
@larrythelizard 🤣🤣🤣 See, that's exactly what I said to @Juno231 and she told me I was being silly. 🤭 But I feel like it's announcing that too. And when other people have told me they are, I kind of have those thoughts (which is maybe why). But possibly I'm just a weirdo (along with you, clearly 😁). Although in my case there wasn't even any sex required. 🤷‍♀️ Makes it even more odd. Just some Asian man with a beard and a tube. 🤣🤣
@MrsBiddy days 2-5 are the ideal, so you are fine!
@Franklydear I would hate being a boss too. Too much hassle for not enough money. I just like to pass go and collect my £200. 🤣

MrsBiddy · 29/12/2021 22:38

@paintfairy
Thank you 🙏🏻 I was thinking I'd have to wait another month 😣

Is there a bus for jan yet as December has well and truly gone! XxX

Franklydear · 29/12/2021 23:21

@MrsBiddy this is a rolling bus, we got fed up with changing the month every time ages ago and now just carry on until we fill it

Minster2012 · 30/12/2021 09:58

@MrsBiddy def a rolling bus, trundling onwards til everyone gets BFPs 😂

How is everyone feeling today?

@polkadotpixie how's your chart & tests doing? Still bfn?

WhT about everyone else?

@Minster2012 I'm feeling a bit excited! Tomorrow will be six months since implant removal without a period so I'll be contacting the drs first thing in the morning and expecting them to finally run some tests.

paintfairy · 30/12/2021 10:03

@Minster2012 headache for me, so grumpy. 🤣 Not much else to report. Really feel I should get off my arse and do something but I'm not sure what. Don't want to go anywhere where people are (can't stand rammed shops). The weather is better though! Yesterday was vile and I was trying not to get soaked, having the horses feet trimmed.

larrythelizard · 30/12/2021 10:19

Oh that's a good thing @dmb91, hopefully you have an appt sorted already!

polkadotpixie · 30/12/2021 10:48

@Minster2012 AF turned up this morning 🙌 Never thought I'd be glad to see her but I already knew I wasn't pregnant so just wanted to crack on with the next cycle. I'm pleased with the 12 day luteal phase though so definitely going to keep on with my new vitamin regime!

@dmb91 Good luck with the doctors, hope you can get things moving!

@MrsBiddy I think CD4 will be fine, I was told between CD2-5

Is anyone based in the East Midlands that can recommend a fertility clinic? We're going to get the ball rolling as there's better deals on IVF if I'm 37 than if I'm 38 and I turn 38 in May. I'm based between Leicester and Nottingham

paintfairy · 30/12/2021 11:28

@polkadotpixie I'm in the east Midlands but I'm not sure if I'd recommend mine or not. 🤣 I have nothing to compare it to. I mean, it's worked? 🤷‍♀️ But whether it's the best experience I could have had, I've no idea! @InkyPaper is about to use them too, so could be worth seeing how she gets on. I'll pm you.

Minster2012 · 30/12/2021 13:16

@dmb91 6 months and no period, def see if you can get things rolling

@polkadotpixie that's good then a 12 day LP is much better 🙌🏻I can't help on the ivf in that region I'm afraid

@Minster2012 👋 got this opk yesterday so I'm happy 😃 don't use opks much but did last cycle and they were f**k all use 🤣 wasn't going to bother this cycle but did one random one yesterday and it was positive 😀 how are you? I had a peek at the bump bus yesterday and saw 2020 had her baby boy, great news!

@MrsBiddy yeah we all just committed to clinging onto each other a long time ago, sit down and get comfy, no other bus needed 😀

@dmb91 they better do something for you now!

@polkadotpixie sorry about af but good lp. God i didn't realise the price for ivf was age dependent 😬 thst sucks.

@paintfairy I know that feeling. Not really relaxed anymore but still lazy so restless!

🎄Is your turkey 🦃moister than an oyster?💦TTC bus 51
InkyPaper · 30/12/2021 14:46

@polkadotpixie I'd have to say that for the most part the clinic I'm using (same one as @paintfairy) has been OK so far. There's been a bit of chasing involved, but once chased they've tended to respond quite quickly. They do everything online, which I like, as it meant I wasn't faffing with loads of paperwork. This is all from the NHS funded side though - they might be more "on it" if you're a private patient

@Manifestingbaby hurray for a positive OPK!

I hope everyone's had a wonderful Christmas! Me and DH got given covid for Christmas this year, which has been less than ideal. But on the bright side our IVF drugs arrived, so things are moving again!

paintfairy · 30/12/2021 14:49

@Manifestingbaby yeah just laziness that is not even feeling like good laziness. 🤣
@InkyPaper 🥳 Glad things are moving! Not long now. Not so good about the covid.....

Franklydear · 30/12/2021 15:00

@InkyPaper oh no, I hope you don’t suffer badly, I am practically recovered now, just waiting to see how I feel back to work

Franklydear · 30/12/2021 15:01

@Manifestingbaby laziness is the word... I have a list of things I wanted to do today, somehow they’re not done

Manifestingbaby · 30/12/2021 15:04

@Inkypaper oh no. Hope that doesn't delay anything for you.

Manifestingbaby · 30/12/2021 15:17

I'm going to throw out something here I've been thinking about, hope it's ok and doesn't upset anyone. So we've been on this bus a long time on the ttc board and plenty of pregnant passengers and ladies with babies have stayed here supporting and cheering us on. The balance (at long last!) has shifted to more bumps than ttcers. I think the sidecar is probably now more active than here. There are only a handful of us here still trying, what if we moved over to the pregnancy board thread? Would that be invasive? Or too hard for those still ttc? If we did regroup on that thread it couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't hamper the pregnancy talk, that wouldn't be fair.

Whenever I come on here and see posts from ladies who have already had there bfps it feels like a hug because I know you girls stay here for us who are still trying. Thank you x

I just wondered if this could work for keeping this lovely supportive group together? Feel free to disagree, I don't want to railroad anyone.

larrythelizard · 30/12/2021 15:33

Great LP @polkadotpixie - maybe that's a sign of your body getting back to where it should be?

Ooh that's a cracker of an OPK @Manifestingbaby!

Hooray for the drugs @InkyPaper when do you start?

I know what you mean @Manifestingbaby this is a sort of general support group for all of life!

We got some new crockery in the sales, managed to persuade DH to get pink ones so I'm feeling quite smug!

Franklydear · 30/12/2021 15:42

@Manifestingbaby I think that is a great idea, I do miss most of the people that don't comment anymore, and specially when is quite recent like @Juno231 and @Vil10, I vote yes

polkadotpixie · 30/12/2021 16:05

@Manifestingbaby Yay for the positive OPK, get on it! IVF isn't more expensive as you get older as such, it's just that the Access Fertility multicycle or refund packages are more expensive, I think if you're just going for individual cycles it's all the same...sorry to scare you unnecessarily!

@InkyPaper Glad you've had a good experience with them so far too, it's the one I was leaning towards so hopefully it will be as successful for you and I as it was for @Paintfairy! Sorry to hear you have COVID...we all had it in October and it was very mild for us so fingers crossed you'll be over it quickly too

@larrythelizard I hope so! I've only ever had a 12 day LP once before in all the time I've been tracking, it was usually 11 days when I was TTC DS with the odd 10 day but since having him it's been 9 until I started taking vitamin B6 and vitamin C when it went up to 10. This cycle I've started taking vitamin E and Omega 3 (I'm veggie so probably deficient in Omega 3) and it increased to 12, I'm pretty gobsmacked tbh, hopefully I can catch a sticky egg now if it stays longer! Apparently low progesterone is linked to Endo and I'm on the waiting list for a lap to look for that so I wonder if it's related?

Vil10 · 30/12/2021 16:06

@Franklydear oh good I'm afraid no plan as of yet😬 still no luck on houses, we keep being told by estate agents and mortgage advisors that jan/feb is their busiest time for house sales so im hoping that's true!! At first I was gutted about having to move in with parents especially after getting our BFP, but as my mum rightly pointed out, 2 main things you save for is a house and baby, and we have the time to save a lot of money whilst not paying for a house, suppose it's a good situation to be in, as long as we find something before I'm due😂 how're things with you l?? Tell me

@Manifestingbaby definitely a positive opk!! I have a box full of easy@home opks that one of the ladies kindly sent to me once she'd had her 12 week scan and knew everything was okay, once I get to my 12 week scan and I'm reassured, would you like me to send them you?? Hopefully they'll bring you baby dust like they did for me❤️

@polkadotpixie I hope this is the start for your good length LP🤞🏼🤞🏼

paintfairy · 30/12/2021 16:43

@Manifestingbaby I see what you are saying.
I suppose though (in my mind) the point of the pregnancy thread is so that things like prams, symptoms, big knickers, midwife appointments (and all things that people ttc wouldn't want to read) can be discussed? Without worrying about having to be sensitive to others.
Where as everything else and just daily life and chat - should be kept here? So everyone can be involved. 🤷‍♀️
It is a bit strange now though because it's the first time really that there are more bus people pregnant than not.
@larrythelizard pink crockery? What?! 🤣 We need a photo.
@Vil10 renting is a waste of money but if you are living with parents then yes you'll be saving massively. So that is a positive!

Vil10 · 30/12/2021 17:04

@paintfairy yeah I don't think we'd even consider renting, especially with having 2 dogs a lot of places don't let you rent! And majority of places want a fixed 6-12 month contract in place and knowing our luck, we'd sign the contract then find a house within 2/3 months😂 the only time we'd consider it (if we found somewhere that allows dogs) would be if it got near due date and we hadn't found our family home yet! Hoping that's not going to be the case though😬

@Manifestingbaby I for one would be more than happy for tttcers to come over to the pregnancy thread so we could all be in one place, I just wouldn't want anyone getting upset by some of the chat on there x
