Wow that last bus was an amazing bumper BFP filled bus where we were all crying and screaming for joy as lots of our lovely passengers got their BFPs…🙌🏻we are having an ADVENT CALENDAR of a BFP each day! 🥰❤️

There’s still some ppl lingering on this bus so that’s it, I’m calling time, all the rest of you are due off this bus with your 2 lines please 🤞🏻

This is the bus where we’ve got lots of things going on, bumps, rainbows 🌈, ivf, and now lots more miracle BFPs before ivf! Maybe we should issue passengers with an ivf referral on your way in too to help spur those eggs & sperm into action!

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

OMG @Franklydear that thread is outrageous how selfish and stupid. I'm pleased you have come to a decision on TTC, so no tracking? One of 14 children oh god!! But I have passed on what you said about just listening to them saying don't use contraception & what will be will be! Just nod & agree 😂

OP posts:
Franklydear · 28/12/2021 16:45

@Minster2012 I am not sure a if I want to track till an inch of the deadline, or just let it be and enjoy the journey, or if anything I do or don’t will make any difference, and yes, nod and agree and then do what you want makes for a happy priest

paintfairy · 28/12/2021 18:08

@Minster2012 I suppose it really depends on your issue. But there's definitely many people who had ivf and then went on to do it naturally. Its like your body has had a shake up?
@Sunbird24 🤣 I think with most the ivf drugs, sex is the last thing you want anyway? I never did. Before, during, after! Mostly even now I'm like don't touch me! And that includes cuddling. But I am weird anyway. There are times though I just like to feel close to someone, when I decide it suits me.
@larrythelizard that made me laugh! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Haven't we already established that you don't have the ability to use contraception when you are supposed to? 🤔
@Franklydear yeah, even keel doesn't work for me either. I'm just miserable the whole time! Instead of most of it. 🤣🤣🤣 Pros and cons of tracking really. Yeah you can time it but switching off and just enjoying it is more pleasurable.

Franklydear · 28/12/2021 19:41

So I've finally started ds Minecraft blanket, 360 granny squares, I don't have enough yarn, and I just bought 16 balls yesterday, I'll be done in a couple of years

larrythelizard · 28/12/2021 20:32

Yes I think so @paintfairy when I do 2 for 1 cocktails when work pays apparently I am entirely irresponsible! I still can't get over 11 months of timed shagging and preseed and the fertility and all the supplements and nothing and then BANG! Anyway, still not convinced this is a thing...!

@Franklydear wow that sounds like extreme religion! My mum is one of 10 but they're not religious, I assume that my grandparents planned it (my gramps was one of 12) - the kids were spread over 20 years which is just crazy really!

larrythelizard · 28/12/2021 20:32

Oh and good to have a decision for now @Franklydear - when I was not tracking I just went off CM as I think that's a good indicator

Minster2012 · 28/12/2021 20:45

@Franklydear that sounds like a good plan, especially if you have better sex when you are in charge & wanting it. Good luck with the blanket 😂

@paintfairy it's certainly good to get the "BOGOFF" Offer with the nhs ivf 😂

@larrythelizard well you could always blame it on work then I guess?? Tell them it was the cocktails fault??

I had my oncology call the other day and am due my 6th monthly scans which involve a neck ultrasound, a chest Ct & abdominal MRI so I decided with my consultant that I won't do the scans til after baby is here (so then over a year between scans likely) as I wouldn't undertake treatment even if it showed anything. It scares me rotten but it's the right thing. My consultant wants my placenta retained by the birth hospital and be dissected and checked for tumours & sent me an extra letter to pass onto them saying that so I need to discuss that at my appointment the day after my scan 😬heavy stuff but another reason it's better for a planned c section. All seeming a bit too real 😬

OP posts:
larrythelizard · 28/12/2021 20:49

I can't even contemplate telling work at the moment @Minster2012 - quite worried about that but not thinking about that yet.

I get that's a big decision re oncology but at least this way you can enjoy your pregnancy, if you're sure you wouldn't do anything about it then knowing makes no difference. Sounds like they're taking it seriously @Minster2012

Minster2012 · 28/12/2021 20:59

Ha ha ha @larrythelizard I vote for telling them (when you are ready) and saying with a cheeky wink I think it was that works do that did it 🤭. There isn't any safe treatment I can have other than maybe surgery if they found anything so I thinks it def better to not know. It's worrying though as some studies suggest the additional pregnancy hormones can speed up cancer growth if there are any tumours but I have to trust that my chemo worked & I've been clear for nearly 5 years, 2.5 of which have been having stopped the chemo so I need to think that way. Scary though 😞

OP posts:
Franklydear · 28/12/2021 21:07

@Minster2012 I'll go with the flow for a bit, I'll shout if I need to be more controlling, I'll need the luck with the blanket, and there's a second one he wants, I think that'll be a cushion
The treatment is scary, but hopefully all will be good, will you check everything after baby is born?
@larrythelizard you give me hope, I don't know if that's a good thing, but let's throw caution to the wind, and see what happens, worst case scenario, nothing happens

Manifestingbaby · 28/12/2021 22:04

@Minster2012 that's heavy. I think I'd have to know, if the scans themselves pose no threat that is. Do they? Seems like your medical team are very on the ball though which is great.

@franklydear the blanket will keep you busy , can only help with the ttc stress. Good luck for your new deadline of march.

Minster2012 · 28/12/2021 22:32

@Manifestingbaby yeah unfortunately the scans themselves do pose a threat, they don't do MRI scans on pregnant ladies unless emergencies & that's my abdomen so that's a straight no, they also don't do CT scans on pregnant ladies though they said they could try minimise the risks as that's chest, & the neck ultrasound would be fine. When my cancer returned it came back in my neck & lungs (started in my shoulder & went to my lymph nodes originally) so only doing the neck isn't ideal. The 3 scans also take place at 2 different hospitals in Leeds which is a 1.5 hour drive away each way for me so last time I left the house at 6am & got back at 6pm & that's IF I manage to get them on the same day so it's all such a headache to even have the scans let alone trying to work out what we could do instead 😩it's such a hard one then what if they found anything? Argh, ignorance isn't bliss but it's a strategy I guess

@Franklydear, yes I will have scans I'm guessing in June earliest which would be a year since last. a blanket and a cushion sounds ideal! We will all hope you have a no stress whoopsie like @larrythelizard 🤪

OP posts:
Manifestingbaby · 28/12/2021 23:01

@Minster2012 oh well that's different so, I wouldn't take the scans. Ignorance isn't bliss no but try to operate under the assumption everything is ok. Don't think about what ifs. I always admire your positive outlook x

Minster2012 · 29/12/2021 09:10

@Manifestingbaby I live my entire life working on the assumption everything is ok 😂

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas Smile I'm back at work today and really not feeling it!

I'm 12dpo today and no AF...this is unheard of for me as my luteal phase is only ever 9 or 10 days...definitely not pregnant as got BFN at 10dpo/11dpo & 12dpo. I started feeling quite hopeful as I was feeling a bit sick and temp was still up but tests couldn't have been more BFN Sad

The only thing I can think of is I started taking Omega 3 and Vitamin E this cycle so maybe one of those has increased my luteal phase? I actually want AF to arrive now so I can get on with next cycle

Vil10 · 29/12/2021 10:08

Heyy ladies!! So sorry I've been mia for a while, with Christmas and packing up I've just been rubbish at checking in, I have been trying to read every night though!! I hope you're all okay and all had a lovely Christmas!!

Juno231 · 29/12/2021 10:34

@larrythelizard I can't imagine telling work either - I literally got pregnant 2 months in!

@Minster2012 it makes complete sense to postpone the scans and May isn't that far away anyway!

@Franklydear yay for a march extension!

I'm Catholic and had to do the whole 9 years of Sunday school, annual trips to stay in monasteries with my fellow Catholic Sunday school friends etc. OH is Anglican and I'm not sure how we'll decide on what the kids will be!

Franklydear · 29/12/2021 10:46

@Juno231 we’ve decided as there’s no catholic community in England, we won’t take him to church, just educate him as an honest decent person, he goes to church whenever in Spain though, but he’s not baptised and hasn’t gone to Sunday school

Thank everybody for the support, I would quite happily pack it in, but I can’t in good conscience if dh is not done, hoping against all reason that there might be a possibility

Franklydear · 29/12/2021 11:15

@Vil10 what’s the plan? Have you found anything, or you’re going to parents for a bit?

paintfairy · 29/12/2021 13:33

@larrythelizard @Juno231 you irresponsible people, you! 🤣 Blame the new jobs, definitely. One for providing too much alcohol and one for being less stressful so therefore it must have just happened. But you are grateful anyway. 🤣
I've been at my work forever but I still can't imagine telling them.
@polkadotpixie did you ovulate later than you thought you did?
@Minster2012 ignorance is bliss to a degree. But I think having any procedures that pose a risk themselves would stress me out. So there comes a point when you have to question whether it's worth it. I don't think I'd have any scans etc whilst pregnant unless absolutely life or death. You'll just be worrying about something extra! But your luck has changed and things will be ok now. So June will be fine. 😊
@Franklydear nah, you can't pack it in yet. Just don't stress about it. Or- maybe the key is to get a new job?! 🤔🤣

Franklydear · 29/12/2021 13:38

@paintfairy I’d love a new job, or at least a new boss, nothing packed yet, but I am reaching the end of my shelf life😢

polkadotpixie · 29/12/2021 13:50

@paintfairy I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate later, I temp and use OPKs and they match up with the ovulation pain I felt so I'm pretty sure I'm 12dpo. I just don't feel any indication that AF is imminent at all...I had bad cramps around 7/8dpo and nothing since

I'm just a bit worried, I'm concerned about peri menopause in general and I'm worried AF has gone for good! I'm literally never ever late, I Ovulate and then 10/11dpo I get AF

Minster2012 · 29/12/2021 17:48

@polkadotpixie the extra vitamins could def have made a difference but 12 days is a good luteal phase or even up to 14 would it be bad? I know you are frustrated cos of the bfns which is really annoying, the chart looks good still I think 🤞🏻

@Juno231 9 years of Sunday school, and monastery stays??? Wowsers that's heavy. Are you still in sweden? And yeah I guess it's not too far away (but everything feels like a lifetime when pregnant 😂)

@Franklydear shelf life?? Noooooo you are like condensed milk. Can survive forever

Hi All!

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Confused with what day it ! Abit of Crimbo Limbo I think!!

Aunt Flo was kind enough to turn up after Boxing Day 🥳

Going to have a day blood test on Friday which is day 4, someone advised me on Instagram that it should be between day 1-3. But will one day make a difference? It's so hard predicting when she's going to arrive!! Plus you have to book in advance 😭
