Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@Indianna2006 👏🏻 @OK92 great to be ovulating at a similar time.

I haven't felt ovulation for a few cycles but this cycle I can feel it very strongly in my right side so 🤞🏻 it's a nice big healthy one. So guys, I know it's a bit early in the day but my ovulation test is now really light. Does this mean it probs happened yesterday?

Indianna2006 · 05/01/2022 10:16

@FlyOnTheWall89 are you feeling the cramps today on your right side?

If so I’d say the strong king you got yesterday was your high LH and your ovulating today.
I usually feel ovulation and sometimes it can be the same day as the positive LH and sometimes the day after. But I take the crampiness as the egg releasing and it happening.

So if you have that today I’d say it’s today and get one last shag in!! 😂😂

@Indianna2006 @FlyOnTheWall89 it's nice to all be almost in sync so we can go through the TWW together 🤞🏼

I am determined to do no symptom spotting this time seeing as I've experienced most of them and AF has always shown up!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 05/01/2022 13:38

@Indianna2006 ye it's not so much cramp but just a pain really - I can feel it when I walk even. It's not super low down, but I'm pretty sure it's ovulation. I can also feel it during sex. I went to the doctors about it back in May and they did an internal ultrasound and said it was connected to me ovulating (which I hadn't twigged)... apparently it could be a cyclical cyst that fills up and pops when I ovulate and the fluid causes irritation. I don't fully understand it but they didn't seem worried. They said they could see I had ovulated and I told them we are TTC so hopefully it isn't anything more sinister.

@OK92 it's so hard tho - living inside our body where we feel everything! It's so easy for guys.

🤞🏻 for this month guys. X

Indianna2006 · 05/01/2022 15:04

@FlyOnTheWall89 yeh I’d take it that it is that 🤞🏼 So nice not to have a wait a few more days.

Tww for us all 🙈🙈 yeh I never really symptom spot. Just hate the wait. But it’s all we can do lol x

@Indianna2006 @FlyOnTheWall89 temp went up today so officially in the TWW at 1DPO. Didn't manage to DTD last night 😣 but did the night before, hoping I ovulated earlier in the day yesterday rather than later 🤞🏼for now, drinking plenty of water and will eat Brazil nuts everyday to make myself feel useful!

Indianna2006 · 07/01/2022 09:06

@OK92 that’s good to know. Here starts the long slog.
@FlyOnTheWall89 has your abs bracelet confirmed yours yet in a temp shift?

OP posts:
FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/01/2022 09:07

@OK92 ekkk I'm so bad at drinking water. Will be working on that too. I have sinusitis so no DTD yesterday either, but every day previous to that for a week so hoping that was enough. I think I'll go and get brazil nuts tonight too 😂

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/01/2022 12:42

@Indianna2006 I've attached - annoyingly I am pretty sure I had a temperature last night as I've not been well so not sure if I can really trust this.... however the day before it was in the rise anyway so maybe I can...

@FlyOnTheWall89 oh yes looks like it was 37c is quite a jump to the temps you were getting wasn’t it
Well fingers crossed for us ladies 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Let’s get one more BFP this month at least!! 🥰🥰

I’m 4dpo today. Will be testing not this Sunday but next Sunday 16th on 13dpo.

Aww girls, I'm jealous of all this ovulation chat! Get on it! 😂
AF hit here today, heavy, yuck and 4 days early, which I think meant I must have actually ovulated 4 days earlier than normal too? Normally regular as clockwork, so Im blaming my covid booster, the same thing happened with my previous jag. Bloody covid strikes again! ☹️
Anyone else had the jags mess with their cycle?

Indianna2006 · 08/01/2022 08:39

@Teachermummy83 sorry to hear about period arrival what a bitch!!

No my jags haven’t messed with mine. Mine has stayed as normal. I actually had my booster this cycle as well but that was before ovulation but mine was on time.

I have heard of it confusing some peoples cycles though which must be so annoying!

OP posts:
OK92 · 08/01/2022 08:58

@Teachermummy83 sorry to hear AF arrived early, the worst bit of the cycle. Hopefully the impacts of the booster are flushed out now and your next cycle will be more regular. The booster didn't change my AF or ovulation dates but did make AF very heavy and painful last month, perhaps as I got it at the very start of my period. Here's to the next cycle though 🤞🏼

FlyOnTheWall89 · 08/01/2022 21:39

@Teachermummy83 hi! Hehehe yes we did have a good ovulation chat.

My jabs didn't interfere with periods. Since having covid though, I have had shorter cycles. Could be coincidence...

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/01/2022 11:57

Hi guys! How is everyone getting on? Xx

OK92 · 11/01/2022 12:24

@FlyOnTheWall89 hey! 5dpo today so nothing happening at my end. Have a weekend away with a friend this weekend which will distract me from the end/hardest bit of the TWW. How are you getting on?

FlyOnTheWall89 · 12/01/2022 06:52

@OK92 ye nothing really happening here either. I am not really exactly sure when I ovulated. I got that positive OPK (but not massively coloured) on 4th Jan. So I guess I'm maybe 7 DPO. I had achy teeth yesterday which was weird but I think it is likely to be from grinding at night. Im going for a progesterone blood test tomorrow and my OH is going for an SA. Super nervous about the results. If we are not pregnant this month, I'll get an AMH blood test too to check ovarian reserve. My mum took a while to conceive me and ended up needing clomid but then conceived my sibs very quickly and easily, so hanging onto that hope. X

Indianna2006 · 12/01/2022 08:46

Heeey

9DPO today. Nothing much to report. I’ve continued to temp and they’ve stayed up and are stable. So I guess that’s good. Will test at the weekend I imagine. But just expect the inevitable by now.

@FlyOnTheWall89 are you getting them done via GP or private? I keep going round in my head about now trying to get some tests. But can’t decide whether to speak to GP to get ball rolling or how long they’ll take via that way. Or just pay and go private.

My DH is very much like we need to try for the full year which I get. But it’s just once it starts getting closer everything takes so long. And like we started late anyway ttc due to my health issues and just feel like time is slipping away with such a big age gap. I feel so out of control with it.

Like if we need IVF she could be like 6 by the time or even older. An just is not what I had planned or envisaged. AT ALL.

I don’t know when is the right time to throw the towel in and think well our time has passed.

Lots of ponder

@Kiaa how are you getting on lovely? Xx

OP posts:
FlyOnTheWall89 · 12/01/2022 09:42

@Indianna2006 morning! So I came off the pill in Jan 2021 and whilst we were careful ... ish... we didn't use condoms so I felt it was reasonable to up it a bit and say we have been trying for a year. If we need medical intervention, we will probably just pay for it because I don't think we want to wait too long. I'm about to turn 33, this is baby #1 and we want 3 in an ideal world but obviously at this point will just feel happy to get pregnant.

You can get a fertility screening for under £400 (this is in london) which included bloods and an internal ultrasound so if you want to speed things up, do that. My OH was exactly the same. He was really against an SA but said obviously if you want to check your side of things, that is your own choice. However, after getting upset on Sunday and explaining how draining I find this whole thing, he had a real think and has been referred and has his test tomorrow! He thinks it's best to know what we are dealing with at this point and at least it means we have the facts. I did have to push him to really think deeply about it and it did cause an argument which we never have. Everything takes a long time... like I've had to wait 2 months for progesterone test because of being away and therefore not being here at the right time etc.

I would get the ball rolling - or at least set a month where you will get the ball rolling. It can only make you feel more in the know! X

Indianna2006 · 12/01/2022 09:56

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes I know what you mean. I think as it’s not the mens bodies who have to wait each month for if there pregnant. They just think let’s just wait the year. And it being a year can be totally normal. That’s the thing. But just feel like it’s sooo many goes.

My DH is quite good and is like well you know it could be me. Like we’ve been pregnant twice. But that was 4/5 years ago now. So obv things can change. But clearly we WERE able to get pregnant. So it’s so hard to know.

Be patient but then it’s the what if something is wrong and we’re wasting our time.

Well this is cycle 9 for us properly trying. But we had a whoops before that when we then decided we did want a baby. So really I could count it as cycle 10. So think I might give it another month.

An then speak to DH about either contacting Docters for initial tests or going private. If there is an issue. We wouldn’t get treatment on NHS anyway. Only initial bloods etc and maybe a hycosy. But I think the wait for them on nhs is months and months at moment and I don’t wanna waste that time with my DD being basically nearly 4 now..

I had looked privately and same there £400 here for initial tests. And £400 for a hycosy. But like basically minimal if any wait at all. So that will be the Avenue we go I imagine. It’s just spending money when we may need to spend waaaaay more if there is an issue.

But equally aware that next month or month after. Poof. I could be pregnant lol.

Draining!!!

Hope your tests go okay hun. And like you said just give you further info into what is/isn’t going on! xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 13/01/2022 06:36

Off for progesterone bloods (I really don't like blood tests 😢) today and booked an AMH test. It is £110 which includes same day results and I'm going in day 2/3 ish of predicted next cycle. At that point, I think we will know much more about if we are going to need some help or if we just need to be patient and keep going x

FlyOnTheWall89 · 13/01/2022 06:39

@Indianna2006 yes I totally get wanting to wait a bit especially when you've been pregnant before which must be a bit reassuring... as you say, 4/5 years ago in terms of fertility could be quite a long time but 🤞🏻 it will just happen before that year marker. I'm on another thread for 9 months plus and have been for a while even tho I wasn't quite as far down the process as them and there hasn't been a single BFP since beginning of October 😢, which I find quite scary. Hoping this group can change things xx

OK92 · 13/01/2022 08:27

Morning ladies.

@FlyOnTheWall89 good luck with your blood test. I'm not a fan of them either but it'll be worth it and hopefully can provide some reassurance. I understand it can confirm ovulation right? If temping and you know you do - does the test shed light on anything else? Sorry for my ignorance 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm already feeling like I'm out this month!Just trying to not get hopes up at all anymore. Just trying to remind myself that hopefully it'll happen at some point this year.

Indianna2006 · 13/01/2022 09:01

@FlyOnTheWall89 ahh good luck! Hope all goes okay. And yep that totally makes sense.
I guess cos I’ve fallen twice before I’m just hoping it’s taking a while. But think maybe after next month I may contact GP and try getting the ball rolling a little earlier. And just give it another shot before then.

@OK92 as far as I’m aware I think you can BBT and see a shift and still maybe have an issue with low progesterone. Like short luteal phase and spotting etc. so it will assess how high your preferred one gets.

But if you do temp and it rises well and stayed high for 12-14 days you should be okay I’d imagine. It would be if the shift in temp wasn’t much and only lasting 9-10 days I think…
