Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@Indianna2006 @FlyOnTheWall89

Thought I'd update on here, having only just joined the other thread I didn't want to be insensitive or triggering to anyone who's been trying longer than me. I got my BFP yesterday (at 12DPO). Still in shock and it hasn't sunk in tbh like it doesn't feel real at all. But obviously over the moon and really praying it sticks 🤞🏼

No idea what helped but I guess a combination of hycosy, fertilily (though def didn't use properly), DH on supplements for a month and DH lifestyle changes!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 21/03/2022 08:10

OMFG you are kidding me. THAT is amazing. CONGRATULATIONS. So regardless of varicocele... so no surgery needed now. I think there must be so many people who don't know they have a small issue and although it takes longer, they still get pregnant within a year. You were around 8/9 months weren't you? Any symptoms at all (i know the classic Qu)? When did you have the hycosy again? I cant remember and I am currently debating whether to have it this week, or wait a month to give my OH a bit more time on the supplements. xx

OK92 · 21/03/2022 08:20

@FlyOnTheWall89 thank you!!

Yep this was cycle 8. DH will prob still have the surgery anyway as it's via insurance and better for him to sort it in case we want a 3rd in the future (as they get progressively worse over time).

I had the hycosy at the start of this cycle! On CD7. I definitely think it helped - as he was only really on supplements for 1 month before our fertile window so I wonder how much impact they'd have had by then? How long has your DH been on the proxeed now?

No major symptoms but really dry / sore lips from about 7DPO, and the last few days cramping but more like a stretching sensation than period pain. Nothing else yet like nausea or sore boobs. Was too scared to take a test until yesterday which is when I was due on.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 21/03/2022 08:34

@OK92 I'm buzzing for you which I have noted as so funny because a friend of ours told us they were expecting their second and I cried and felt so down. I think it's because I know you've also waited and struggled and been through the same anxieties as me. Maybe something I will have to take up with myself because I don't actually know how long they've been trying. God this journey is crazy.

I think its about 54 days now (not that I have counted to the day). We have a lower count than you guys but I am hoping it MUST have improved with the supplements and lifestyle changes. Fingers crossed we are not far behind you xx

Indianna2006 · 21/03/2022 09:14

@OK92 OMG congratulations! Whaaaat! So exciting.
I didn’t think your DHs numbers were that bad considering and kept thinking I’m sure one will get through sure.
Like you say maybe hycosy cleared you tubes right out so all his good sperm had a good go at getting through!
Cycle 8 is still totally normal! Phew bet that’s a sigh of relief.
So in reality your DH is most likely fertile. But maybe few other things gave it a boost.

Fingers crossed for sticky bean. But good idea DH still gets surgery.

What did you do when you saw it?! Bet you couldn’t believe it!

@FlyOnTheWall89 fingers crossed for changes with the supplements. And your not far behind!!

@OK92 congratulations wonderful news !! 💜

@FlyOnTheWall89 fingers crossed for your next 🥰

FlyOnTheWall89 · 21/03/2022 15:08

My HSG will be next month as I can't get it in this month - too tight with our holiday. They do it between day 8 and 21 of my cycle. I'd prefer to have it before I ovulate so I've booked it for end of April. I didn't realise you couldn't have unprotected sex from the beginning of that cycle either. Want to join you guys in the pregnant gang. X

Indianna2006 · 21/03/2022 15:25

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes I was told no unprotected sex from period until the procedure. To just make sure you couldn’t be washing any sperm out and be pregnant I guess. Altho unlikely obv if way before fertile window.

Yes deff get it in before fertile window so you I can get going that cycle. I was due to have mine CD9. And would of ovulated 4 days later. So had 4 days to dtd in.

Obv I didn’t need it 😂 and neither did we have to do the protected sex business and period didn’t show lol. They did refund me back way over half though which was very good of them!

Yes come on! It’s another months of supplements too for DH. So maybe next month is best. It’s progressing. You got this xx

OK92 · 21/03/2022 15:40

@FlyOnTheWall89 I know what you mean - I ended up 'muting' anyone on Instagram who announced a pregnancy or had just had a baby and it's helped me not get so triggered all the time! Told myself it was my form of self care and something I could control. I definitely think the supplements will be doing something by by now if he's been on them almost 2 months.

@Indianna2006 yeah I initially glanced and couldn't see a line but when I picked it up I could see the second line starting to develop. Took another this morning that was stronger so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

@Kiaa thank you!

OK92 · 21/03/2022 15:42

@FlyOnTheWall89 just saw you booked HSG for next cycle. That's great - something to work towards and like @Indianna2006 said, another month of your DH on the supplements too!!

Indianna2006 · 21/03/2022 15:44

@OK92 not gonna lie it’s slooooow! And one anxiety turns to something else. But obv so grateful to be here.

Indianna2006 · 28/03/2022 17:37

@OK92 how are you feeling?

Has it sunk in yet? And what did DH say? xx

OP posts:
OK92 · 29/03/2022 14:16

@Indianna2006 I'm ok! I don't feel pregnant at all...other than sharp twinges on my left maybe where I ovulated from I've not had any nausea, sore boobs, tiredness etc. definitely going to get an early scan for reassurance as I'm feeling so anxious about this actually working - like it feels too good to be true and I feel I should be getting some symptoms!?

How are you?

Indianna2006 · 30/03/2022 11:56

Yes I’m doing okay. I didn’t have much going on first few weeks.

But nausea and sore boobs and tiredness has deff kicked in now at 7 weeks
Xx

OK92 · 31/03/2022 16:21

@Indianna2006 that's exciting, I'm looking forward to feeling some symptoms!! Have you told your DD?

Indianna2006 · 31/03/2022 16:26

@OK92 no we haven’t told her. For one I’m not telling other family members yet and DD will be blurting it out to god knows who 😂😂 whole town would know lol!

And also don’t want to tell her until we’re fairly certain. Felt it’s unfair as she’s 4 she will understand more than a younger child. So don’t want to tell her one thing and then it not be happening if that makes sense and upset her.

Will tell her once we’ve had the official dating scan and all is well.
Going for an early scan next weekend at 8+4 so hopefully that will give me some reassurance 🤞🏼

OP posts:
OK92 · 31/03/2022 17:01

@Indianna2006 yes makes sense, I'm not telling DD either as she repeats everything to everyone too lol.

Keep me posted on your scan! I'm trying to hold off to around 7 weeks for mine. Or 8 weeks if I'm feeling more restrained by then 😂 feels like a lifetime away. I'm only 5+2 now.

Indianna2006 · 10/04/2022 13:18

@OK92
@FlyOnTheWall89

So I went for an early scan today at 8+4. But my dates are not measuring up. Only measuring at 6 weeks which I know cannot be right. So doesn’t look like it’s good news for me.

Have to wait 1-2 weeks to confirm though. And speak to my midwife tomorrow.

Absolutely sucks. 😰 not sure I can do all this again.

OP posts:
OK92 · 10/04/2022 16:47

Oh @Indianna2006 I'm so sorry. So so sorry to hear this. I really pray for a positive outcome for you. Have you still been feeling symptoms etc?

After such a slog in getting your BFP you don't deserve this and I really hope baby does some catching up.

Indianna2006 · 10/04/2022 17:24

@OK92 yep still very much feeling symptoms and they’ve increased in fact so makes no sense.
But then there is a heart beat.

But from my dates etc it obviously isn’t growing right and will end I imagine at some point in a miscarriage.

Absolutely gutted. Honestly thought this was it. But can’t see how there can be much hope with dates that wrong. But I’m certain of dates 100% 😢😢

So so tough this game. Really not sure if we will try again. I just don’t know. I can’t do another year of ttc. Think it might internally kill me off.

OP posts:
OK92 · 10/04/2022 19:28

@Indianna2006 that's promising that there was a heartbeat though? But I understand the sheer worry. Especially if you've been having all the symptoms up until now. And to have to wait 1-2 weeks is just torture, hopefully the midwife will be more helpful tomorrow, perhaps you'll be able to go for a scan with them sooner than that?

Indianna2006 · 10/04/2022 19:44

@OK92 yes the heartbeat was good. Although if there is an issue they can develop a heart beat and be slow to develop and then obv lose them between 6-7 as they haven’t really grown. Which I think what has happened in the last 2 weeks.

I can only ask the midwife and see. But had a friend where they made her wait until 12 weeks as she had no pain or bleeding and said her dates could just be wrong. Ridiculous.
