Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

I can completely relate to all you've written @Solven, particularly the bit about giving up and it magically happening but I think @Indianna2006 is right, it is more hope that dwindles ... we all know our bottles, know the EWCM and what it means etc. You can't be blind to these things.

Sorry AF came @Indianna2006 😢. It would be great to get another positive soon on here. I have recounted and studied my graph and after inputting the results to natural cycles, they vary on what they say re ovulation day. I think I'm more like 11DPO, AF due Tuesday / Wednesday ish I guess. You are outstandingly positive. Thank you for that 💕.

Sounds like we all feel the same @OK92. I don't think January grey skies help the matter either. Fingers crossed for you. X

Kiaa · 16/01/2022 22:46

@Solven thank you 😀
Sending you all positive vibes and strength I know the journey can be tough Xx

Solven · 16/01/2022 23:02

Aww sorry @Indianna2006 I missed your message about AF, I think I was typing at the same time. I find cd1 so depressing, I hope you're ok xx

lilrosemarie · 17/01/2022 06:08

I’m on my 12th cycle, today I’m CD33, of a usually 28-29 days long cycles. 😬 I took a test 4 days ago, bfn and I couldn’t bring myself to take another since … can’t take more disappointment. :/ I’ll try to wait until tomorrow to do it with fmu. 😬 Hope there’s a good reason my AF is late. 🙏🏻

FlyOnTheWall89 · 17/01/2022 06:36

Sounds hopeful @lilrosemarie, keep us updated x

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 07:57

@FlyOnTheWall89 I try be positive. Cos otherwise I’d drive myself insane cos actually I’m a stress head lol. Remembered last night in bed that the nurse at my smear in May mentioned I had a polyp on my cervix. So then I went down a Google hole and it said if it’s in the cervical opening it can block the sperm. So now my head has gone 😂😂 worrying about that and where it is. Might have to contact Docters and ask them to check for me. Seemed like most people were referred to gynae to have them removed. But the nurse never mentioned anything to me!!

@lilrosemarie ooh does sound good. Let us know. Hope it’s a BFP for you!

OK92 · 17/01/2022 12:11

@Indianna2006 @FlyOnTheWall89 spotting arrived today and a BFN so onto cycle 7. Think I will get some private tests done this month as I can't face waiting much longer 😭

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 12:43

@OK92 hugs hun. Do what you need to do. DH ring Docters today and is collecting his stuff for sample tomo. And I might call as want this polyp checked and try convince them to do bloods.

It’s sooo crap. But we still got chances. So nobody give up hope okay. X

OK92 · 17/01/2022 15:17

@Indianna2006 yep it feels good to be taking some action and seeing if there might be anything wrong with myself or DH. I can't help but think something is up when I conceived DD so quickly. Fingers crossed it'll happen at some point this year 😞

Solven · 17/01/2022 16:36

I'm so sorry @ok92 about af, I hope you're ok. Could you tell your gp you have been trying for a year to get the tests done through the nhs?
@indianna2006 good idea to get this polyp checked, at least you will be able to rule it out. I hope your DH's tests come back normal

Solven · 17/01/2022 16:38

@lilrosemarie good luck with your test tomorrow 🤞🏻
I'm going to test tomorrow morning as well, dont think this is my month but want to make sure there's no line before AF as it happened last month and it was my first time using a frer, and I want to know if it was a one off or a sign something's wrong

FreckledMouse · 17/01/2022 16:56

Hi all, had a little break away from the boards.
How are we all doing on Cycle 9 ?

I'm 4/5dpo today - so send that baby dust my way.

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 17:38

@OK92 I don’t think anything will be wrong hun. You’ve got a fair few goes yet as yet. I know it’s hard when first time was so easy. It will come. I’m sure of it.

@lilrosemarie

@FreckledMouse my cycle 9 is a right off 😩😂
CD2 of cycle 10 today. FML. But now starting to think about getting some checks etc to make sure all is okay. Trying to be patient.

@Solven good luck for testing 🤞🏼

OP posts:
Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 17:39

@Solven I’ve had a few lines on FRERs. They used to be the best but I think some of there evaps are getting shocking. I’ve switched to other tests which I never get an evap on so it’s always white as snow.

OP posts:
FreckledMouse · 17/01/2022 17:53

@Indianna2006 oh no I'm sorry Cycle 9 was a no.
Do you track at all ?
I did an at home Semen test on my partner this month that my GP recommended to rule that out. Next step for us is tests and things but we get married in July so going to wait until after then

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 18:00

@FreckledMouse yes I did track this month. Did BBT etc and know when ovulation is due to OPKs. So I appear to be ovulating fine and had a 12 day luteal phase. So all that seems okay. But who knows hey.

Just hoping DHs semen analysis comes back okay. What at home one was it the GP recommended?

@FlyOnTheWall89 when DH spoke to Docter today. They said I needed to call as once they done tests fertility referals will be sent together. Although she did say to my DH you know you won’t qualify for IVF. Which we know. But to get investigations out the way a tad earlier and in system can only be good thing.

So I may try fill in form now and speak to them about the cervical polyp too and enquire if that could be causing an issue. And will see what they say.

DH is off to get his pot tomorrow and then can contact the lab to book a time slot. Has your DH or partner done his?

Solven · 17/01/2022 18:29

@Indianna2006 which tests do you use now? Are they also early detection ones?
Even if you dont qualify for ivf, there's other steps before, like medication. Sometimes that's enough

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 18:32

@solven. I use the clear and simple early detection tests from savers. There £1 for a test and are sensitive to 10mui. They’ve never given me an evap. I’ve used them for 4/5 months now. I had a bad evap and a frer and then another faint one. They always seems to have a grey line on them whenever you pee them on now!!

OP posts:
Solven · 17/01/2022 18:48

Oooh that's good to know @Indianna2006 that's a real bargain. Ill check if there's a savers in my town, thanks for the tip!

Indianna2006 · 17/01/2022 18:59

@Solven I use the ovulation strips from there too. Always very reliable and cheap.
They do a standard pregnancy test as well which is 20mui. So look for the “early response” version and on the side it said 10mui. So can test upto 6 days early. So not much different from a FRER considering the price difference!

I’ll attach a pic of them incase anyone else wants to see.

@OK92 I have read SO many stories about opposite experiences between children for the same women. I don't think it means anything is wrong just yet. Keep positive. You could always pay privately for all the checks to settle your mind but I think you've got a few more tries before it's worth it. In London they're about £400 ish I think.

@Indianna2006 yes they said once they have all the blood work and my OH SA, then I can call and we can be referred. It's a 15 day wait for results which is so long - it's like another TWW, just for his results. I'll be back in my TWW nearly when we get them. He did his last week. @FreckledMouse oh that's nice for your partner - mine went to this tiny prison cell like room at a hospital. It is an odd thing to do but much less invasive than all our checks and pricks and blood work.

My temp dropped a bit again today and so did my BPM so I think AF will come tomorrow and then it will be cycle 10 😭.

I think a few of you are testing this morning - looking forward to checking back in a bit for hopefully some good news! X

Lillice · 18/01/2022 13:25

I got a positive test this morning! I'm still on shock, really didnt expect it as I have no symptoms at all

Indianna2006 · 18/01/2022 13:42

@Lillice omg no way! Congratulations!! Was it your 12th cycle?! xx

OP posts:
FlyOnTheWall89 · 18/01/2022 14:51

Congratulations @Lillice ! How do you feel?

Progesterone bloods came back within 'normal' range at 46, so that is good news!

X

Indianna2006 · 18/01/2022 15:02

@FlyOnTheWall89 oh yay! Well that’s one thi by ticked.

I just spoke my dr. Gina arrange bloods etc and my chlamydia tick box swab. DH has booked his semen test for 2 weeks time earliest they had.

🤞🏼🤞🏼 We will get positives in this time though. That’s what I’m hoping x
