@ChinChilly oh my love 🥰 poor pupper and I hear ya about having to leave him. Hope it went OK. Watch out for the post anaesthetic 💩 and try tempting him with some of the water out of a tin of tuna & spring water to get his appetite going. Our pupper is partial to cooked chicken too 😉

If they've popped a dressing on it, we've found a good waterproofing solution is a sock, 2 poop bags and another sock to keep it dry when out for pmails.

Very relieved about the no clipping, I would've hit the roof if they had done it.

I'm grateful for everyone in our threads to have people to wait with us 🥰

ChinChilly · 14/03/2022 18:32

@mrsmacmc we've just got him home, he's so zonked out though bless him, he's breaking my heart he looks so sad and confused. Hopefully he'll be brighter in the morning. Oh god are the post GA 💩s a thing?!?! 🤣🤣 I'll look forward to that! He hasn't got a dressing on, I asked them not to if possible because he always has problems with bandages irritating his skin. Thanks for the keeping it dry tip though may still need that!

I can imagine, i would of felt the same! This thread really has been a life saver!

Kay00 · 14/03/2022 20:29

I hope your doggo's are feeling better soon ladies!!

@mrsmacmc Hmm! I have learned something today. I had no idea they could 'clip' you. Good to know they didn't in your instance Smile

@ChinChilly how are you getting on with your pregnancy?

ChinChilly · 14/03/2022 20:42

@Kay00 ok, thank you! Still getting intermittent nausea and seem to have picked up heartburn now 🤣 I had the second attempt at my 20 week scan today and I had the bloody same miserable sonographer as last time, sods law! But little lady was cooperative today, got all the measurements and a nice photograph so that was nice. 22 weeks already it's flying by now.

mrsmacmc · 14/03/2022 21:45

@Kay00 it was mentioned very briefly at my last appt with the consultant. Apparently where our referral goes for IVF they 'prefer' this if the tube(s) have fluid in them 🤨

My argument was why shut the door off completely if there is even a remote chance of natural conception 🤷‍♀️

@ChinChilly I'm glad pupper is home, hope he is slightly less dopey now and you avoid the post GA poonamis. Give him a cuddle and a paw bump from us. Sod's law it would be the grumpy sonographer again I'm glad your LO was behaving herself this time too ❤️

I meant to say earlier on that because of my wonky tube I'm flagged at higher risk of ectopic so I've to let them know asap if things happen naturally as they will early scan me to check.

ChinChilly · 14/03/2022 22:12

@mrsmacmc he is abit better but he's still got abit of a sway when he's standing, he's been out and been to the toilet and now OH is going to sleep downstairs with him tonight as we normally let him have free run of the house but I'm abit worried about him tumbling down the stairs especially our old victorian house stairs they're so steep! The cuddle will be greatly received ❤️
I know my heart sank when I saw him and he called my name but atleast i don't have to see him again now!

Ahh sounds like you'll have a good plan in place if things happen naturally, the early scans are a nice bit of reassurance

mrsmacmc · 14/03/2022 23:21

Awww @ChinChilly bless him and glad he's been able to go to the loo. My OH has been sleeping downstairs since pupper broke his toe as we don't want him doing himself a mischief in the night. Hope you all get a restful sleep tonight 💕

mrsmacmc · 17/03/2022 19:13

Slightly more positive news 🎉 I dragged my ass to SW tonight and was blown away with my loss (didn't think I'd lose anything as I've been eating like a pig post op!). BMI is officially below 30 so that's that target met 😁

Post op wise, I'm doing OK physically, look like I've been run over by a car with the spectacular bruising, it's mentally I'm still fragile as I need to details not high level stuff to help me process things. Pupper is doing OK too (hope yours is too @ChinChilly) although he's getting bored with being in his pen!

@mrsmacmc that's amazing, well done you!!! How are you feeling now?

Started letrozole today - woop woop! Hope it helps me 🤞

mrsmacmc · 24/03/2022 21:55

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you. I lost another 2.5lb this week so I've got 4lbs to go now for my self set target.

Took me till Tuesday to feel 90% human, speedbumps and trollies aren't my friend still! Physically I'm getting there, mentally my head is in a skip. Still don't have an outpatient appointment to discuss findings / way forward. The witch 🩸 has arrived today so will see how I fare with her this month.

🤞🏻 for your letrozole ✨

Kay00 · 25/03/2022 09:55

@mrsmacmc Amazing weight loss!! Well done!! And it sounds as though your post op bruising was quite nasty... I hope this has improved a little now?

@TheDaydreamBelievers Woop woop for Letrozole! Super exciting times!

I'm CD14 on my first post-Covid cycle and I have no idea whether I will ovulate around CD15/16/17 or closer to CD45 Grin? So we're going with the DTD every other day approach whilst I temp.

I'm away this weekend (theatre with friends and visiting my mum for mother day) so it would be just my luck if I ovulate on Sunday... ah well!

Kay00 · 28/03/2022 11:36

Hi ladies! I had my funding come through for IVF and my first appointment is on April 7th... eek!!

I will then be waiting for CD1 to start taking the stimulation drugs, so everything could start happening really soon!

My big issue is that I have a few small breaks planned, a big family birthday (that I would also have to travel for) and a big holiday to Norway planned for the next 8 weeks... so the timing isn't brilliant. I'm thinking about maybe delaying the IVF, but I'm also keen to get going with it, so I have a bit of a difficult decision to make.

Juno231 · 28/03/2022 14:37

@Kay00 let's see what they say on the 7th - I had my appointment in Oct and the earliest they could fit me in was a Jan cycle start so maybe you won't even have to say anything 🤞

@mrsmacmc that's incredible weight loss!! Super well done 🎉. Will you get the hydrosalpinx sorted once it's time the IVF though as from what I gather it really affects the success rates?

Kay00 · 28/03/2022 15:28

@Juno231 It would solve a a lot of problems if the clinic said we couldn't start until X month Smile. In fact... on re-reading the letter is says "Following your planning appointment you will be advised on when to call us with the first day of your cycle", so maybe they will say 'Call us on CD1 following X date'. That would be great Grin!

mrsmacmc · 28/03/2022 17:16

@Kay00 that's amazing news 🎉 will keep everything crossed for you 🥰 bruising is much better now thanks, still getting twinges but I'm guessing it's everything 'settling' back and healing internally. Still waiting on my follow up to discuss the lap findings more deeply HOWEVER our referral officially went today to the IVF clinic 😁. We've been told initial wait is 4 months and treatment to begin within the year. Small steps in the marathon that is TTC!

@Juno231 thank you, it's not been as horrible as I imagined it to be - my bank balance isn't liking me much though 😆 eBay has been my friend for picking up clothes. I reckon it'll be on the to be sorted when it comes time for IVF, will wait for the IVF gurus to discuss it rather than the generic consultants locally. You are correct it can create a toxic environment for any beans 🥰

MissC07 · 23/04/2022 09:42

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Thank you for your kind messages, it's been a very rollercoaster ride the last few months. Now also topped off with this..... Took a test on Tuesday as AF was late, although I thought it was due to stress. After 17 months I've finally got a BFP, although I'm still petrified and in shock

TheDaydreamBelievers · 24/04/2022 12:24

@MissC07 CONGRATULATIONS! Such a strong positive too ❤️ wishing all the best for your pregnancy

ChinChilly · 24/04/2022 15:13

@MissC07 Amazing, congratulations 🎊 💗

Juno231 · 24/04/2022 15:14

@MissC07 omg congratulations!!! And a dye stealer at that! Fantastic news❤️❤️❤️ any idea how many dpo you might be?

Kay00 · 24/04/2022 17:10

Congratulations @missC07 !!! Amazing news!!!! I wish you all the best for the next 9 months xxx

MissC07 · 24/04/2022 17:38

@TheDaydreamBelievers @ChinChilly @Juno231 thank you! I'm still in absolute shock. I'd stopped tracking everything except my temp but that was more so I knew when to expect AF to turn up. I've attached my chart, but since I got my BFP it moved my O day back. I took the FRER on Tuesday (when I was 16dpo according to the original chart) and then took a digi on Weds which said 3+. So I have no idea 🤷‍♀️ I hope you are all doing ok!

@Kay00 thank you. I hope you are doing ok!

ChinChilly · 24/04/2022 17:57

@MissC07 ahh how lovely! May just have to gestimate how many weeks you are until your dating scan (unless one of the chart experts can shed some light) do you think you'll have any early scans? All good thanks, plodding along.. 28 weeks now and can no longer hide the belly haha.

MissC07 · 24/04/2022 20:44

@ChinChilly I'd like an early scan, but not sure if I can just book one or do I need to wait for somebody to contact me? I've got a phone call appt with my GP on Thurs (earliest they could fit me in!) as I'm petrified after what happened to my mum, so I'm hoping she'll send me for blood tests and a scan. I did the self referral for the midwife and have an email back from them but now just need to see when my booking appt will be.

So glad all is going well for you. Has the sickness stopped?

ChinChilly · 24/04/2022 22:40

@MissC07 I'm not 100% sure because my early scans were through the miscarriage clinic but I'm fairly certain your GP can refer you to the EPU for an early scan. I had my first at 8 weeks, it was abdominal so it was literally just a blob lol. Booking appt is just loads of questions mostly family medical history with the odd random question thrown in like 'are you and baby's father related' lol

The actual sickness stopped around 19-20 weeks but i wasn't able to wean myself off the anti sickness tablets until about 22-23 weeks and I still occasionally get days where I feel nauseous all day so it's been fun 🤣
