@Juno231 yeah, no NHS funded help for another year! It's about 500£ a cycle. But hycosy is another 500. I need to call again to ask about why hycosy

Moocher90 · 27/10/2021 17:57

@Juno231 so glad your appointment went well! Be lovely to hear that you have fallen naturally but also with IVF planned it takes the weight off your shoulders and I really hope soon you get your BFP! Xx

CD13 today and had some EWCM. My OPKs are getting darker but not got a positive yet. Hopefully over the next few days I do :)

Hope everyone is doing ok!

@Kay00 hopefully with your temp rise you ovulated x

Abit about me
31 years old TTC#1 been trying since August 20. Had been on long term depo and then 3 months POP. In that time I rarely ovulated. I had some bloods which revealed I had subclinical hypothyroidism and also hashimotos. So I decided to go gluten and dairy free. However now I am just gluten free.
It’s only in my last 4/5 cycles I have been ovulating but been having short cycles of around 22-23 days. The last 3 cycles I had ovulated on day 10-12 so I’m exceeding in this cycle which I am happy about.

Went for private fertility tests which revealed I have low AMH and AFC :( but hycosy and ultrasound fine. DH has had a SA which came back normal. My AMH is lower than the required to get NHS funding so are looking to try naturally until Jan and then if not go to Prague for IVF.

Had a nhs gynaecology app which I was then told I have to have day 2/3 bloods and day 21 bloods and also wants me to go for another hycosy after my next AF then they will set a plan of action.

It’s been quite a whirlwind of emotions thinking I might never be able to have children that are biologically mine. The only saving grace is that I am still young so my egg quality should be good. I am not prepared to give up at the first hurdle though so will try anything to get a little baby in my arms x

@Kay00 my snacking levels are definitely at an all time high! I'm hoping they stop a bit once I start taking Metformin.

@IsabelHerna Welcome 👋

@TheDaydreamBelievers do you know what you're going to do after their recommendations? My gynae and also my reflexologist also said to go low carb. I mainly have eggs for brek and then salad or some sort of protein for lunch. But I need to come up with better recipes.

A bit about me;
I'm 33 and TTC #1, came off the pill in Nov 20 and have been TTC since. Long cycles post pill with a huge one of 159 days, which was also induced by Provera. Been to both private and nhs gynae who has confirmed PCOS from internal scan and bloods. Have now been prescribed Metformin and will see how I get on, am also going to try and go low carb and lose some weight too!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 27/10/2021 19:32

@MissC07 I think we will see if we get lucky this ovulation then if not go for private treatment

ChinChilly · 27/10/2021 19:35

@TheDaydreamBelievers that is such a long wait for the NHS help 😔

@Juno231 your fertility appointment sounds positive and January isn't far away at all!

@IsabelHerna welcome! 😊

Intro wise
I'm 30 TTC baby number 1, came off the pill in June 20 and start the whole not trying but not preventing then fell headfirst into OPKs & BBT 🤣 I'm in the recurrent miscarriage camp! Most recent was a MMC found at the routine 12 week scan after seeing a heartbeat at a private scan at 6+4. Waiting for my first appointment for investigations at Tommy's at the end of November.

CharWils · 27/10/2021 20:18

Thanks @Kay00 @Moocher90 @MissC07 @Juno231 @ChinChilly

All was well, another wriggler like their big brother 💫 and a good heartbeat, measuring at over 12 weeks too which feels reassuring for now.

@ChinChilly that sounds like a really good outlook to have and also not too long at all to wait until your appointment.

@Kay00 fingers crossed that it shows you ovulated on Monday, how are you feeling?

@MissC07 sounds like a good goal to have for Christmas. I'm currently a stone heavier then when I gave birth 🙈 comfort eating and wine has a lot to answer for!

@Juno231 congratulations! January start sounds great!

Welcome @IsabelHerna

Intro wise. I have just turned 35 and joined this group TTC my first in approx June last year after being on the pill etc without periods for as long as I can remember.
I was super lucky to conceive first time within 3 months, unfortunately Jack was stillborn on 3rd April this year. We started trying again after his due date (June) and were again super lucky to fall pregnant again within 3 months of trying. Currently 12 plus 4 and feeling hopeful currently after a positive scan yesterday but PAL is very hard to navigate!

The ladies are kind enough to let me hang around even though I am normally notoriously bad for keeping up with everything. Super helpful group and convinced I wouldn't of fallen as quickly as I did both times without all of their support with tracking and general dealing with the rollercoaster of TTC! Smile

Moocher90 · 27/10/2021 20:21

@CharWils lovely news to hear baby is growing well and all is good! Xx

@CharWils glad your scan went well! Hope you are feeling ok ❤️

WhirlingD · 27/10/2021 22:45

Welcome @IsabelHerna. I've been a bit quiet on here recently as nothing much (good) happening on my fertility front!

TTC#1 came off pill Jan 2021, cycles of 101, 86, 40, 30, 27. High FSH and low AMH. Probably premature menopause (I'm 39). Planning donor egg IVF Q1 next year. Hoping for a miracle before then.

In the meantime, I've bought an OvuSense as I do at least now appear to be ovulating. Im also getting married soon (he just asked me!) so have a welcome distraction. :)

I might not post much but I follow this board religiously and it honestly keeps me going.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 27/10/2021 22:47

@WhirlingD huge congratulations!!! Amazing that you are ovulating atm. Hoping for good luck for you.

@CharWils glad it's going well

mrsmacmc · 27/10/2021 23:16

Place marking! happy Halloween 🎃 nothing exciting happening here. DH has his SA appt next month and I'm waiting on my blood results baby dust ✨ to all ❤️

Kay00 · 28/10/2021 09:31

Welcome @IsabelHerna !!

@TheDaydreamBelievers Great news that you might have ovulated and that you DTD loads Halloween Grin

@charwils I'm super pleased to hear everything is going well xx

@mrsmacmc Keep us updated m'dear!

@WhirlingD Congratulations!!

My intro:

I'm 36 years old, and started TTC in June 2020. I have had lots of long cycles and a few anovulatory cycles and not a hint of a 2nd line in that time (16 months). I was diagnosed with PCOS when I had my HyCoSy due to a Polycystic ovary and my high AMH levels (64pmol/L). I was offered Metformin to help regulate my cycles and they are now regularly 28-30 days long, and I am currently on my 2nd Clomid cycle.

Clomid cycles:

  1. I took 50mg days 2-6 and overstimulated with 3x mature follicles. I was warned not to try due to risk of multiples, but tried anyway. No pregnancy.

  2. I took 25mg days 2-6 and produced 1 x over-large follicle on my right ovary measuring 27mm. I ovulated the next day (CD15) and its likely that the large follicle will have grown further and may be a dud.

I have learned that over-large follicles actually produce immature eggs which do not fertilise well. So I'm likely out this cycle. Currently I'm 2DPO.

Robyn101 · 28/10/2021 11:26

Just popping my head in the door - hopefully a few of you remember me, I still read through religiously and feel so invested in your journeys ❤️

Anyway noticed a few of you saying you’re looking at going low carb / advised to and wanted to recommend the gestational diabetes website. Skip all the other parts incase it’s triggering just look at the recipes, obviously designed to be low carb and sugar for those with GD in pregnancy

www.gestationaldiabetes.co.uk/recipe-index/

Hope everyone’s well ❤️

IsabelHerna · 28/10/2021 13:34

@Robyn101 Thank you for the link! I opened it to check it out, and I found myself playing around with different cuisines and diets. Thanks again!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/10/2021 15:56

Thanks @Robyn101! I'm struggling to find low carb recipes that aren't also super low cal!

Juno231 · 28/10/2021 16:44

@TheDaydreamBelievers if you want low carb recipes that are high cal I suggest you look at keto and paleo recipes :)

@CharWils I'm so pleased it went well!! You must be so relieved. When is the due date?

@WhirlingD congratulations!! Have you set a date yet? How are you finding the ovusense?

@Robyn101 of course we remember you! How are you?

@mrsmacmc woop for SA coming up soon - and what blood tests are you waiting t ok hear the results on? If you have the NHS app the results might already be on there!

mrsmacmc · 28/10/2021 17:29

@Kay00 will do 💕

@Juno231 sadly the NHS app isn't yet live for my surgery 🙄 from memory it's day 14 / day 21 / AMH / / testosterone/ T3 & T4 I'm waiting on results for.

The clinic won't give the results until all tests are completed including DH SA which is a fortnight today.

Robyn101 · 29/10/2021 07:39

No problem @IsabelHerna hopefully it’s useful!
Yep same @TheDaydreamBelievers hopefully the GD website helps because it’s all about pairing with fat and protein so they’re not typically diet recipes (it’s the only diet I’ve been on that I’m encouraged to have as much cheese and cream as I want 😅)

@Juno231 ahh yay! I keep an eye on here but don’t post much because I know how triggering it can be. I’m doing well thankyou 36w currently so on the countdown now. Good to see you’ve got a proper decent plan in place for January that’s exciting

TheDaydreamBelievers · 29/10/2021 08:34

Temp has dropped at 5dpo Sad. Was allowing myself to feel a bit hopeful yesterday but maybe not!

ChinChilly · 29/10/2021 10:33

@TheDaydreamBelievers temp drop over here aswell at 6 or 7dpo FF can't make its mind up which 🙄

Juno231 · 29/10/2021 13:11

@ChinChilly @TheDaydreamBelievers oi you bananas - you know a temp drop mid LP means nothing! 😁

Juno231 · 29/10/2021 13:40

On another note there's quite a few of us in the TWW right now! Let's hope we finally get some good news.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 29/10/2021 16:01

@Juno231 this shit makes me bananas!

Who all is TWW?!

Everyone, repeat after me - I will not test until 12dpo

ChinChilly · 29/10/2021 16:17

@Juno231 I agree with @TheDaydreamBelievers this shit does send u bananas! I'm not testing until AF is late i convince myself i see a faint line everytime I test early even though there isn't one there 😂😂

Kay00 · 29/10/2021 16:26

I'm 3DPO - "I will not test until 12dpo" Halo

I shall also not get excited by any symptoms, as I have had them all in the past, and the been absolutely nothing!

I'll be 12DPO next Sunday, which is when OH and I have booked a remote cottage in Dartmoor (to escape the fireworks... my dogs hate them even if I love them) so it would be super romantic to test positive then.... but I won't so I'm not going to think about it. But, I might take a test away with me Grin
